Meet the Business Owner: Amy A.
In 1975, I had a dog I couldn't control and took her to obedience school. As a result, I developed a circle of friends who were passionate about showing and loving dogs. I traveled the country campaigning my pets and winning awards.
In 1979 (when I was 15), Bob Self, publisher of Front & Finish, asked me to write a column on junior handlers. I continued writing, teaching, boarding & training, and showing.
Amiable Dog Training I was asked to teach weekend workshops for dog training instructors and exhibitors nationwide.
After adopting my first mixed breed, I dabbled in teaching tricks and developed "How To Be a Dogs Best Friend" in which Able the Dancing Chihuahua and I entertain and demonstrate how to be safe around dogs.
In 2012, I moved to Honolulu and offer lessons and customized services year round in Hawaii and during the summer in Milwaukee.
