Basil pesto pasta and a lot of cheese!!!
    Cristin G.

Great location and cool vibe, and it's neat to see the pasta maker cranking out fresh pasta. The kitchen is visible from the main dining area, so many can watch right from their tables. The fresh pasta is quite good. I had the basil pesto, which was decent but covered in so much Parmesan it coated the dish (see pic). We also enjoyed Nonna's pasta. The focaccia was good too. Surprisingly, the wine list had two Pinot Grigios by the glass, one Sauvignon Blanc, and that's it. No Chardonnay options, no other white wine choices. Sort of disappointing for the PNW. Service was attentive and friendly. The service charge of 20% was included.

Solid place for a casual dinner but won't blow you away. They have a nice outdoor patio where dogs are allowed. The service was super quick which was appreciated. We liked the pappardelle pasta, Ceasar salad and focaccia bread.

Sadly, after 2 visits, I'm not impressed at all with Tavolàta, despite being one of Ethan Stowell restaurants. The place looks beauty and modern from the outside but they have the most uncomfortable chairs ever made. Is like they want you leave quickly or something. And the food was just "meh", you can definitely get better Italian dishes at one of the several nearby restaurants. This is a case of the looks not fulfilling the promise of delicious food.

Food was terrible, no flavor and I had to ask for salt. Ambiance was cute but not worth the price.

The windows/doors are open so not enclosed in the summer (and they allow dogs!). The food here is great! Love their crying tiger for how tender and flavorful it is! Always a favorite in my book.

The host was very quiet and although I didn't hear him, luckily my daughter did. I asked for a five star curry with Salmon, but they informed me that they could only do three stars so ordered the three star curry, a side of spicy sauce and rice. My daughter ordered the Phad See Eiw with tofu. The server delivered the wrong noodle dish, I immediately said that it wasn't what we ordered; she ignored me, dropped it off and left for the next table where they informed her that she had swapped the dishes. The salmon was quite good, seared and crispy around the edges. The curry wasn't spicy at all, so I had to add the full side of spicy sauce. The spicy sauce made it spicy enough, but it was sour. I tried to explain this to the server; instead of hearing me out she immediately brought more spicy sauce. Finally I was able to get them to cook the curry with the spicy sauce making it less sour and the flavor was good. The rice was definitely insufficient for the amount of curry ordered, which I found strange given how cheap rice is. I tried my daughters noodles. They use a cheaper oil and added lots of sugar, making it a sub par dish. We also ordered a young coconut, but it wasn't that young and the meat was hard. At $12 for an item that costs $1.50 I was underwhelmed. Overall the dishes were hit and miss, and the service was sub par. Try it at your own risk.

I guess since it was so empty, everyone was on a little break, so getting a table was a little slow, but afterwards, service was great. I had no idea it was national taco day? And matador had a little competition w other matadors? Really fun concept, so I ordered the specialty huli huli steak taco. Tacos themselves are super hefty. Lots of juicy tender steak pieces, refreshing toppings, and fun nutty roasted macadamia nuts that brought the dish together really well. I'm a little sad this is just a limited time thing because that was super yummy! Rice and beans were good as well, was spiced well which I enjoyed. Free chips and salsa ofc was solid as well! Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Happy hour is definitely worth (4-6pm everyday!!) and I hope they do more chef made specialty tacos!

Stepping into this…read morerestaurant feels like you're walking into a gorgeous minimalistic zen space that still manages to incorporate warmth through the natural wood paneling and thoughtful touches. Tables and booths are laid out in a way that gives patrons both privacy and a wonderful space to have conversations. The tableware is immaculate and thoughtfully picked out. Our server, Brandonlee A was truly a star! He was very friendly and has the entire menu memorized right down to the specific ingredients used in EVERY single dish- yes, even the side dishes! He's a big reason that we had such a wonderful first experience at Noii and I sincerely hope Management takes notice and promotes this guy to become a manager because he clearly is so passionate about his job, cares about the customers he serves and so knowledgeable about the food! That's something very refreshing to see in the service industry. The lunch bento set was wonderful - the sushi upgrade was definitely worth it too IMO, because I'm a huge aburi toro fan. Everything from the beef croquette to the salad with crispy fish skin and ikura was delicious. The food presentation/plating was 10/10 and it was a feast for the eyes too. Even the grilled chicken rice bowl with the onsen egg was so yummy. We also loved the yuzu mixed drinks as well. The birthday dessert with a yuzu jelly topped with meringue and edible flowers added the perfect finishing touch to our meal. The ambience, food and service were all a home run for me. That says a lot because VERY few restaurants are able to achieve the perfect trifecta of all 3. Hopefully they will keep these high standards up! This is now one of our favorite restaurants in Kirkland and we've already told all our friends to come check it out.
