Came on a Friday night around 7pm and was seated immediately which was great. Food was okay but expensive for what we got. Got a pasta dish with pears in a cream sauce. It was a rich sauce and the pears actually tasted oddly good, however the overall dish lacked flavor. The bruschetta was fresh but nothing wow. Unsure if I would return to try something else. Ambiance was pretty.

Always a great time here. I have visited maybe four times since May so yes, I do enjoy this location. One of the times I came for brunch, I believe we showed up about an hour before our reservation just to see if they could squeeze us in and they did- so that was awesome. The service is very quick. The restaurant is always clean. One of the managers, Anthony, is extremely helpful. He definitely does his share of the workload- which he really doesn't have to do but he hustles hard for sure. Overall, great spot for Sunday brunch. We will definitely come back, no complaints. Eggs Benedict are my favorite on the menu. $3 bellinis/ mimosas on Sundays for sure, not sure about Saturdays- but regardless, I love a good deal.

Had the best Sunday Morning brunch! We sat on the patio and there was beautiful fake flowers hanging over the lights on the patio. The waitress and staff were all really sweet and helpful. I ordered the BEC Sandwich (Bacon Egg Cheese) and it came with fries and it was so good ! And everything was so reasonably priced. Overall had a great experience! I will say- they do have valet but it was full so I had to scramble to find parking which was a pain but it worked out.

$3 mimosas and Bellinis for weekend brunch special. The wait time is long but you can call ahead. They have a bar that is open seating and don't need rsvps you can order from prior to sitting. We got the eggs Benedict ($16) and the taverna burger ($18). Both were filling and come with lots of potatos or fries. Service was quick and the the seating inside was more Italian tablecloth. Great for a boozy brunch and to show visitors

In Dallas for a trade show I went to the upscale Knox neighborhood to eat at Taverna. The restaurant has a warm atmosphere and a very Italian country vibe. We ate on the covered patio with heaters all around so it was comfortable even in January. The food was very good, not necessarily totally authentic but very tasty. We ordered Bruschetta, Meatballs Al Sugo and Antipasto Emiliano as starters to share at the table. The Bruschetta was tasty, the Meatballs were fantastic but the Antipasto was a little inauthentic. I never saw an antipasto dish using Mortadella as a meat since its a cheap Bologna meat, though they did have some Prosciutto as well, olives, red grapes, cheeses and Gherkin pickles on it as well. For the main course I ordered the Sea Bass Brodetto (an Italian version of the Spanish Paella), which was very tasty. This was paired with a delicious Californian red wine (the Walking Fool), and for desert I had an espresso with a Crème Brûlée. The food was tasty and it was a pleasant meal.

Their brunch SLAPS. You can't beat $3 mimosas and quality Italian food on a Saturday. We went right when it opened and were able to be seated immediately. Service was great and loved the AC on the patio. Can't wait to go back to try the meatballs!

I absolutely love pasta, and the gorgonzola with pear sauce was incredible--the best I've had. The meatballs were also divine. Overall, the food here is much better than Carbone. That said, the service could have been better. Our server Federico didn't mention any specials or recommendations, which I later overheard another server doing for their table. I ordered fries, and while they were good, it took a while for them to come out. When I asked for ketchup, the bottle was brought to the table, which felt a little out of place since it usually comes in a ramekin. When our food arrived, we didn't have any silverware and had to ask another server to bring some over. Maybe our waiter was just having an off day, but the experience could have been smoother. There's definitely room for improvement.

    CARPACCIO- nice and light.

I get the same thing every time. TRUFFLE FRIES- the style is a little different..like In-N-Out fries... A little soggy. They give this to you with ketchup, but ask for a side of aïoli. TRUFFLE RISOTTO- this was good. Just as I remembered. SPAGHETTI VONGOLE- clam spaghetti. This was tasty. BREAD- you have to ask for it... This was good. Great compliment to the pasta. Give it with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

This is delicious! I think all Italian tastes pretty much the same, but not this place! We ordered the Negroni that is wine based, crispy and refreshing. Our waitress was the sweetest and the staff were accommodating. In addition, the pasta-stuffed pasta was unreal. I recommend this place for good food, good atmosphere and wine.

The perfect brunch spot for a casual hang out! Mimosas were $3 a glass, we ended up getting a carafe of mimosa, a pizza Bianca, the bolognese, and a bruschetta for the table. Every dish was super fresh & delicious. We had the perfect amount of food to split for a table of 4. The location is perfect to kick off a Saturday in Dallas.

Located at Knox Street, a must-try Italian place. There is a wide range of dishes and the service is also extremely good. They have both indoor and patio seating. But the price is a little high for the quantity of the dish they serve. The ambiance is really nice.

Stopped in on Monday for lunch when all of Dallas was shut down for the storm. They took excellent care of our group. The food was delicious and drinks were refreshing. Our favorite pizza to get is the Salsicca! 5/5 for hospitality, food, and vibes!

The meatballs were very succulent, bathed in a tomato gravy that you'd want to lick every drop of from the plate. The focaccia, on the other hand, had a pillowy interior, and the crust almost seemed caramelized, with a slight sweetness that paired nicely with the tartness of the tomato gravy. For our main course, we ordered the Cacio e Pepe, Spicy Gemelli, Pesto Rigatoni, and Bolognese--all were phenomenal. Then, to cap things off, we had a dreamy gelato, with a cloud of whipped cream, topped with pistachio and drizzled with olive oil. Service: Great! What you'd expect from an upscale restaurant. I don't care for a lot of meat sometimes so I wouldn't have ordered it as my main but it really complimented the spicy gemelli - perhaps going halfsies would have been a nice option. Service was attentive and our dishes came out fast, we sat indoors beside the bar but the patio could have been a really nice option if you're a patio person. I typically am not. I have yet to find a Dallas Italian spot that I love more than my current no.1 back home (Donna's on Sunset in LA) but this meal was delish and I wouldn't rule out dining here again in the future.

But what really made the experience unforgettable was our server, Leigh. She went above and beyond in every way possible. She didn't just explain the menu- she told a story. From the background of the owner to the details of each dish, you could tell how much care and passion went into everything. She checked in at all the right moments, made sure we had everything we needed, and genuinely cared that we loved each bite. And the food... wow. It transported me to Italy. We started with the arugula salad with bresaola dressed with lemon - super refreshing - paired with the arancini. The bread dipped in the sauce was insane: perfectly crisp on the outside, with rich, flavorful rice inside. We shared the triangoli ravioli stuffed with ricotta and topped with mushroom, hazelnut, and parmesan, and it was incredible. The hazelnut added the perfect crunch and nutty depth. Then came the tagliatelle with wagyu bolognese--perfectly balanced, rich, and made even better with clearly homemade pasta. We finished savory dishes with the veal saltimbocca, and I swear it made me feel like I was sitting in Rome. The sauce was incredible, and the sage really brought everything together. But the true showstoppers? Dessert. My Italian grandma said the cannolo was the best she's ever had - and that says everything. Light, crisp, and not overly sweet. Then the chocolate dessert with olive oil and sea salt... I went in for two bites and somehow finished the entire thing without realizing. Easily the best chocolate dessert I've ever had. This place is out of this world. Would order all of these dishes again. In a city full of restaurants, this is one I will come back to every single time I'm in Dallas. Absolutely 5 stars. Brava.

I visited on a Wednesday evening with a comfortably moderate crowd; on busier nights you may want a reservation. I started with the fried calamari and a glass of wine. Presumably meaning wine, but we were considering cocktails and a bit confused by the question. He said "I'll come back when you're ready," and disappeared for the first of many long absences. From the beginning it felt like we were ruining his life. He was cheerless and curt and wouldn't make eye contact with anyone. It would be more understandable if the restaurant was super busy or understaffed. But this was Monday at 6 pm. We listed a birthday on the reservation, but it wasn't acknowledged. Why bother to ask if we are celebrating? We waited for empty plates and glasses to be cleared between courses. We waited a long time for him to return so we could order a second glass of wine. Even longer for the plates to be cleared and longer still for the opportunity to order dessert...a piece of cake for the birthday girl and two after dinner drinks...but the drinks weren't picked up from the bar when the cake was delivered, and only remembered when we asked for the check. We watched him pick them up (well after the cake was consumed) on his way to leave the bill. No mention that they had been overlooked, no thank you, no good night. This was our first time at Barsotti's and it will be our last. Aside from the awful service, we had issues with the food as well. The veal was pounded paper thin and fried hard resulting in a tough, chewy texture similar to dried beef or jerky. It was dry and overcooked on two different dishes. On a more positive note, we enjoyed the fried ravioli appetizer and the redfish was fine. While our waiter was largely MIA and unpleasant when he did show up, the bus boy/assistant was gracious and attentive. Maybe he was trying to compensate for his colleague. BTW, the offensive employee was in his late 40s to mid 50s with a slight build and salt and pepper hair.
