    spinach dip

We went there for a quick bite - ambience is cozy and casual. We ordered the spinach dip and eggplant tower. The dip did not have much flavor and the tower was good minus the ham. For our meals I had the steak tacos and my friends had the burger and chicken sandwich. Good portions and They were all okay but nothing great. Four people and two cocktails each about $200 plus tip. Gave it a 3 as place was nice and service was good.

This bar has what you need to grab a nice drink at the bar, watch a sports game, entertain a date... as for the food, I have yet to try but maybe next time. Parking is small so if you are meeting up with people it's best to get there first.

I would have to say this is the best tavern I ever went to. Atmosphere is stellar, staff is nice, food tasted great, menu variety was strong and priced well. Lots of parking on both sides of the building

If you're a local then you know that Tavern 61 replaced the long standing Italian restaurant, Solari's (which was open since the 1930s). I personally had been to Solari's before it closed, but as soon as I walked through the doors of Tavern 61, I was immediately transported into a charming, welcoming and modern establishment. Tavern 61 is situated right next to all the new apartment construction that is happening in Hackensack and this is a place you will NOT want to miss out on. Tavern 61 is an American bar & grill that serves a wide range of menu items - you will not have a problem selecting what you want. I came here for a date night with my partner and we decided to share a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and it was divine. We shared their buffalo chicken flatbread pizza and it was so good we almost ate the whole thing! We had to stop ourselves so we didn't get too full prior to the entrees. For my entree, I ordered the pork chop and it was cooked to perfection - there was so much flavor and the balsamic reduction really added to that - the cherry peppers was a perfect spice compliment. My partner ordered off the special menu and he said the tacos were absolutely delicious! I can't wait to come back!

3rd time here and quite satisified. Great service. Awesome happy hour deals on drinks between 4 and 7 on weekdays. $5 on majority of draft craft beers at that time. The specials tend to hit the spot. Loved the choriozo tacos, chef salad and beef tortellini in pink champagne sauce. Anything in their pink champagne sauce will be fantastic. Thanks a bunch!

Pizza Knight is absolutely crushing it for bringing "Detroit-style" Pizza here to North Jersey! In…read morea state where there is a pizzeria on almost every block, although a New-York slice is legendary --- it is America, and I do need a bit of diversity with my pie, and this was a welcome change. Called in to make an order, and the owner say it was a busy day, so my pie would be reading in 45-minutes, instead of 25-30. I assumed if people are willing to frequent there, I'll join the queue. I ordered the Drunken Peps Detroit Style Pizza, which had "mozzarella cheese, two types of pepperoni (original sliced/cup & char), homemade vodka sauce, and freshly grated pecorino romano cheese." First off, the pie is huge --- completely worth the $26.96 I paid for it. Secondly, the photos don't do it justice --- it is steaming hot upon pick-up, and that very generous layer of sauce on the top was *chef's kiss*. Although the crust may appear very dark i the photos, it was actually perfect --- and provided that nice *crunch* and *crackle* that those crunchy cheesy edges provide. If you're in the area and looking for some pizza -variety- then I totally recommend this place. Pizza Knight for the win!

First off, I did a call-in order (very 2000s, I know). I could tell the business was very busy, but I was so surprised that despite being surrounded by the "crazy" she was doing her best to suggest what she liked and then after speaking a bit, what I might like. She was very helpful and considerate despite me calling during the "lunch rush". I came into the business --- small but efficient space --- and it was a quick transaction. My kind of place. As I was eating for 1, I didn't want to be a true "big-back", new year, new resolutions. I just got a 10' Neo Margherita Pizza + Parmesan Peppercorn Bone-In Wings. So the thing that makes Grumpy's stand-out and different from the competition? Boy oh boy, that crust. It is sourdough, it is crisp, it is light, it is so complimentary to anything that goes on it. I truly understand the hype about their pizzas --- and I truly can't wait to try more from their establishment. On to the wings; I ordered the Parmesan Peppercorn Bone-In Wings, simply because it's a flavor I don't see too regularly on the menus. It was exquisite; I could only imagine how much better it would've tasted fresh from the fryer. I had a 15 minutes drive until I had eaten the food. So the food-fluencers are not lying about this place. Check 'em out --- an awesome business ran by awesome people.

I decided to return to explore a newly crafted menu item. Before the dish was officially revealed, General Manager Kevin showed me the pizza oven where the new creation was baking and bubbling. French Onion Pizza: Combine Lido's original thin crust pizza with a classic French dish and a newly unique creation is born. Originally, I was skeptical because I never envisioned integrating a popular soup with a plain cheese pie. As soon as I took my first bite, my skepticism disappeared in a heartbeat. The entire pie has more than its fair share of caramelized onions that were simmered in a homemade broth. The crust is thin and crispy with perfectly golden mozzarella cheese. It was scrumptious down to the last bite. French Onion Gluten Free Sample Slice If you have any food allergies, a gluten free version is also available. This is still decent, but I personally prefer the original gourmet pie. Thank you Owner Steve and General Manager Kevin for introducing me to this new menu addition. #lido #lidorestaurant #lidohackensack #frenchonionpizza #frenchonion

We got a margherita pie with added mushrooms and sausages. The handmade pie took a little bit, but it was certainly a conversation-stopper when it arrived. It was hot, loaded with toppings, and had a healthy drizzle of olive oil. Eating it was even better. The cornmeal-dusted crust had pretty decent structural integrity (considering the toppings it had to hold up), and while the sauce was a little tangier than I would've liked, the proportions of crust to sauce to cheese was spot on. Evoli is a family-owned business and they've been in their current Hackensack location for about five years now. All the people here are sweet as pie, and I especially loved seeing the owner's little girl dancing around and showing off her Power Ranger toy to anyone who showed interest. There's talk about selling their business and changing locations, but so long as the old guard is here, I absolutely recommend checking them out.
