Wow! This is a hidden gem! I had the mushroom and Swiss burger and it was the best ever. The side of broccoli was amazing too. My husband got the buffalo wings and they were awesome!! My two kids got the chicken strip basket and it was huge! Try the bbq sauce! It's amazing to dip fries, chicken, and even your burger in!! My brother in law loves the tenderloin and my sister in law really enjoyed the Asian zing wings! Also, I "shot the cricket". You can choose the sweet or the rowdy shot. I chose the sweet one... Great live music, both times we visited it was right after hitting the Fugitive Beach and much to our delight and surprise Taylor Feighery was playing the patio on both visits completely unexpectedly. Our server approached us within 2 minutes of being seated and took our drink order. Sorry to say it was just water, and he offered lemon without being asked. I asked "what do you recommend? In response to owner's message I have increased to 2 stars for the fact that the owner actually reads and responds to reviews, however I was going off the yelp app, not the website for which he refers. On the yelp app it is listed as a restaurant, I recommend possibly editing hours for restaurant or having a separate listing for the bar. I have been in restaurant business and also eat out for 90% of my meals. I understand hours, and hours of kitchens, I ended up eating at Buffalo Wild Wings that evening. They are a sports bar and the kitchen is open later. I am posting a screen capture of original owners comments and also screen capture of hours listed on yelp app. The idea of using yelp to locate a restaurant quickly is just that; I shouldn't have to refer to other sources or call ahead unless the yelp listing recommends to do so. I do hope to visit during meal time and experience the highly rated food, that is why I selected this place to visit when, yes, I had many fast food options that would have been just off the highway. Appreciate the owners passion for the business and hope they continue to have great success, the concept of giving the lower star rating was to help other people who may find themselves in a similar situation, not knowing kitchen hours or that it is a bar off of first glance at the yelp listing. read more

After 30 minutes we were told no one is leaving because there is a band tonight. I wish they had told us before hand. They then offered to seat us at the bar with a 3 year old and an 8 year old. When we said that was inappropriate that sat us in the pool room at counter high tables. I ordered unsweetened tea and it tasted like sludge from the bottom. I also ordered chicken fried steak with gravy and fries. I could only eat 1 French fry. It was coated with salt. Like wise with the kids meals. They did not eat fries either. But they did like the chicken strips. My daughter ordered a medium well steak. When she cut into it is was blood red all the way through. But her baked potato was good. We started out with 2 orders of the Broccoli Cheese Bites which were a great way to eat some vegetables (fried n' cheesy). For my main course I had the tenderloin sandwich which was a pounded flat, massive crispy pork serving on fresh buns. It was ginormous! I had to cut the pork serving in two and use the second half as a chicken strip dipper. You can't go wrong with this menu item. For your side don't get the baked beans unless all you want is a half can of Bush's baked beans. I wasn't real thrilled with that. Others had the spuds topped with an assortment of items that they found tasty. They also ordered fries and were happy with those as a side. For my lunch combo and one of the appetizers I paid $17.50 so good price for a good meal. The house dressing with the salad was pretty good and fries were also good. Presentation was blahh. Fried pickles were ok. Breading also had no seasoning but they were crispy. They could have been hotter as well. Chicken pot pie baked potato- this was good but kinda wish they made the pot pie themselves. It was obviously canned because the chicken was perfectly cubed. Ordered the pulled pork and fries, couldn't finish it, ate less than half, the worst pork that I ever had, even the fries weren't good and so few of them that I could had held them in the palm of my hand. However, the breaded mushrooms were to die for even though they were over priced. The service was EXCELLENT, about the best that can be found. The dining area was so dark, that I felt as if I were sitting in a cave. My biggest complaint is the fact that they add 20 % for a tip to the tab. I always leave a tip where ever I dine , but I strongly dislike being told what to leave, especially when I'm not told before hand. The pickles were tasty, the burger was juicy and flavorful, the fries had amazing seasoning on them, and the nachos were simple and fresh. They have a selection of baked potatoes that are stuffed full with various toppings...which is why I'm assuming it's called the Tater Patch. The table next to us ordered one and holy cow it was like a platter of food! I look forward to jumping on that next go round. On top of great food our server, Lauren, was epic. Very charismatic and fun to talk to. They were setting up for live music, but unfortunately we had other obligations. Short version: the food is ok, if you are willing to wait for it... We've been here twice, once for lunch and today for breakfast. When we went for lunch, I had the fish sandwich (I believe it was appropriate called something like "the belly buster") and Boo had the pulled pork tater. Both were pretty tasty, but seriously we waited what seemed like forever. Together we finished the sandwich, and brought back more than half of the tater, which was pretty good reheated the second day. Today we showed up for breakfast around 9:30. There was a HUGE party of men lining the far wall, but it looked like they had already been served and were finishing up. Maybe about half of the remaining tables were occupied. We ordered our food (french toast special and an "eye opener") and watched the weather channel while we waited. And waited. And waited. It appeared that at LEAST two tables of people came in to the restaurant after us, and received their food before us. The only explanation I could come up with for that was that those folks were "Joe and Linda," and therefore should get the best service possible. Otherwise, it just seemed like total bs. In fact, a guy at one of those tables who was so promptly served sent his food (biscuits and gravy?) BACK to the kitchen - and he got a plate of "fresh" food even before we were served. Maybe the kitchen was totally backed up from that party, but it didn't seem like a whole lot was happening. Or maybe they just give preference to regulars who come every Saturday morning (?) for breakfast? Like I said, the food was totally adequate, but I feel like it would have taken at most half as long to eat had we gone to somewhere like the Waffle House. read more

Was pleasantly surprised by the food here--on the outside and the inside, the place looks like your average dive bar, complete with pool tables, jukebox, dart boards, and super-casual clientele. Apparently they are famous for their oversized spuds, covered with a wide variety of toppings, since 1965. Wasn't in the mood for a potato, so instead I got the 2-piece catfish dinner, with 2 sides (I chose fries and homemade slaw) and hush-puppies. The catfish was delicious--cooked perfectly and with a unique breading--thicker than most catfish breading, with a nice uniform crunchiness. Add to that a large draft beer and I left full and happy.
