Service at Hopper's was great! We received our food in a timely manner and the atmosphere was fun as we got to watch bingo night. I got the southwest Rancho wrap and I will be returning to get it again. A simple wrap loaded with tons of flavor makes it a must get. However, I would opt out of getting the cheese curds as they were underwhelming. Overall, Hoppers is a staple in Rolla serving great bar food! read more

I went with friends to play Trivia on Wed night at 7-there was a party going on at this time and apparently NOT staffed for. Service was AWFUL-I had to go to bar to order our drinks and ask if a person could come take our order after being there for over 15 minutes--food took over 40 minutes to come out and trivia started at 630 instead of 7 as advertised. I have to save the cheeseburger and Philly wrap was very good but due to the absolutely WORST service ever we will never be back! I'd suggest to call before going to see if a party is going on, and if so STAY CLEAR of this establishment unless you like to be forgotten the whole night and rarely checked on! read more

Hello, I am one of your good customers. I had dinner or simply beers a couple of times per week for the last 4 months. I even had very nice conversations with one of the owners: a very nice lady from Poland. You can mention to her a regular customer from Belgium. In fact, I should rephrase: I WAS one of your customers. Tonight I seated at one of your tables for 20 minutes. At least 4 of the staff members walked around me several times. MANY people that arrived after me got beers and food. I think I am not invisible but nobody moved a finger when I finally left. Went here on a Saturday around 7. The service took 1 hour (no exaggeration) to get our food after ordering. All the while the karaoke and music was being blasted as loud as the speakers could muster. So we spent an hour screaming at each other just for convo. Then the food was 2/5 at best. Drinks were pretty watered down too... This is a good place for karaoke and getting obliterated drunk I guess but it's definitely not setup for a nice get together where you can enjoy your food and conversation. read more

We try to be understanding in these covid times that it's tough for restaurants to staff well, but even with that in mind, we can't muster the strength to go above 1 star for last night's dinner experience. Things started normal enough, as we were (self) seated quickly and didn't have to wait too long to order. Waters to drink, "rings n things" appetizer (onion rings, fried pickles, fried green beans), my wife's fish n chips and I got the bang bang burger (with side salad). My burger was by far the best food we ordered. If not for the bang bang (cajun?) sauce, I fear it would have been on par with the rest of the food. Everything else, while given great presentation, was extraordinarily bland. Like, "do we maybe have covid" bland. The french fries were inedible. The tarter sauce, I'm fairly certain, was just mayonnaise. The single large piece of cod was served in a fry basket, over a piece of paper, which meant putting enough force to cut through the fish meant cutting through the paper, too. As much as I give our server credit for never being seen standing still while we were there, it really should NOT have taken 38 minutes from the time we ate our last bite until we paid our bill, even as i made repeated attempts to flag down our waitress to pay up. I got one drink refill offered while my wife got none. And while the restaurant WAS pretty full when we left, it was maybe only half full when we arrived an hour and 30 minutes earlier. Cool place in downtown Rolla. Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday. Ordered Rings and Things appetizer which was fried green beans, fried pickles and onion rings. The green beans were really good, especially with the chipotle ranch dipping sauce. The pickles were okay, we've had better. The breading was a little thick for my taste. We also ordered the house made chips and beer cheese. This was awesome. The chips were perfectly crispy and the beer cheese was delicious. I had the four cheese burger. It was okay, the patty is very thick and the meat wasn't very flavorful. Thankfully we ordered a second beer cheese and chips appetizer and after adding some of the cheese to the burger, it was better. Maybe I'll try the beer cheese burger next time. My son ordered fish and chips. The fish was flaky and crispy but very thin and he said it wasn't very seasoned. The "chips" were the same crinkle cut fries that came with me burger. Overall, food is alright but the house made chips and beer cheese is a winner. read more

I can't believe this actually happened: last night, the whole bar of guests got kicked out about 45 minutes before closing time and threatened with TASERS by the staff. Insane. We didn't even see anyone being particularly rowdy or anything. I am definitely not ever coming back and will absolutely recommend the same to everyone I know. What world is Hopper's living in that they find it acceptable to literally threaten their patrons with weapons?! (Apparently last call is a full hour before closing time, too, so that sucks.) read more

Do not come here if you want normal wait times, personable service, and anything above sub-par food. As a server, I know that it does not take 45 minutes for a medium burger, and a salad when there are 3 tables in the whole restaurant. Our waitress forgot our appetizers and the food was cold when it came out from sitting in a window for a long period of time. We saw our waitress twice and we had to ask someone else for our check because she was nowhere to be found. Not worth the money y'all. Will not be coming back and will be telling others of our experience. read more

Nice enough place. Guinness is priced well however they don't know how to pour a proper pint. Ryan is working his bar well, but needs a bit of fine tuning. I'm not a 100% on this, but the Guinness seems a bit dirty. Hope they are keeping the lines clean. read more

Great place for Rolla MO!!! Sixty beers on tap, with a tasty food menu to accompany. There was a steady crowd in the late afternoon, with the crowd building as we left! Have lived in the US for nearly 8 years and this is by the far the worst place we've eaten at. Service was terrible, the food was inedible and the waitress tried to argue with us when one of the items we ordered wasn't made as per the menu description. My friends and I have supported this business from day one and typically enjoyed our visits. The service tonight was absolutely unacceptable. We showed up at 8:30pm and were given the option to order off the dinner menu. We waited 30 minutes to have our order taken, in which case we ordered off the dinner menu. After another 20 minutes went by, our waitress came by and informed us that they are no longer serving dinner menu items and instructed us to re-order from the "after hours menu" which also put an up-charge on our appetizer orders. After a 1.5+ hour wait time and a terribly handled situation we will not be revisiting this location. read more
