It was the only thing open at 9 pm on a Sunday night. That was the only thing good about it. The food was terrible. Service was fair.

The reason this is not a 5 star is i seen someone's waiter drop his salad then slip in the ranch, after that he got up, took one of the guys fries, dipped it in the ranch, and ate it!! The service is good but the food is pitiful. Anything other than hamburgers or steaks comes from frozen meals that have been microwaved like tv dinners. We have been trying to give them the benefit of doubt for 16 years and have had more bad food than good. Recently I had the chicken Alfredo and my wife had the salmon. My alfredo was uncooked and came like a blob or pasta, dry and just plain horrible. My wife's salmon was dry and without flavor. Came in at 715 order came fast asked for medium rare steak it was medium well done also waitress came only once didn't ask if we wanted refills had to ask a buss boy for refills also had to ask the waitress for an alcoholic beverage after our meal was served half way through servouse. Then at 930 they started vacuuming the restaurant when it was still full of customers. Had another waitstaff come up beside me and holler at another waitress about cleaning another area for her. Here in Rolla for training. Amanda was extremely attentive and polite. I hear Rolla is by far better customer service against Lebanon wait staff. This is a very standard Applebee's The food is just okay and the service is just okay. The waitress was slightly lazy but did just enough. She would take 5 to 10 minutes to refill a drink and became very attentive at the end of service rather than being consistent through the entire service. We ordered the spin dip and it was cold. I however ordered a steak and it was cooked properly which is very difficult 4 an Applebee's to do. I think as a whole they need to go through and retrain all Applebee's employees across the country. Not great service! After ordering and getting our meals we had to send our granddaughter's hamburger back because it wasn't good through. All other meals we served and we began to eat. At the conclusion of our meal they brought the hamburger out. We had already shared our meals as they weren't bringing out the other one. Manager brought and sat it in front of her and said "enjoy it's cooked right now". Nothing was said about the rest of being finished nor did hey offer to take any percentage off the bill. My skillet chicken wasn't cooked fully, my customer's orange chicken was also done wrong and the manager did a Houdini act. I get the feeling this is privately owned and not corporate. Regardless, it's a true "must-miss". The waitresses here like to talk among themselves and ignore customers. And I will exempt 2 waitresses - as one got me my extra napkin. When you're the only game in town... Avoid it. Dog fecal matter, bad service. 5 words = the best summary. This restaurant has been nothing but accommodating. We placed an ASAP order then got stuck where we were causing us to be 30 minutes late picking up our order. Our order was clearly going to be cold because we were 30 minutes late which was on us. We got there and our food was delivered straight to us and they even offered to bring us a fresh batch of fries on top of the ones we ordered 30 minutes ago. Applebees is well......Applebees. This location is clean and the service is good. Nice place to go but way over-priced. Food and drinks are both expensive. They have a large number of flat panel TV's and in the fall NFL Sunday TIcket. They also have individual speakers so you can listen to the game of your choice. read more

I'm not a super fan of Applebee's, but I've never actually had a bad experience. This time was the best I've had. Our waitress was attentive and very nice. The drinks were good. If they have a dollar special of the month it's worth it to try! Mozzarella sticks were warm and there were plenty for the price. And it was happy hour so it was even more worth it.
