Tasty Shawarma - Menu screens show various shawarma and burger combos with prices, located above a restaurant counter with signs and a staff member.

Came across this restaurant and decided to give it a try. They had 2 shawarma for $10.50 so that sounded reasonable. Ordered a chicken and beef shawarma, non spicy. There was an extra .50cents for the beef. The sign didn't say the special was only for chicken and I wasn't told of the extra charge, only knew once I got the bill. No big deal, but would have been nice to know. The food took a while to receive, I think they were cooking a new batch of food so there was a bit of a wait time for myself and others. The place had a steady stream of patrons at 3pm. You do not know what they are putting on it as it is all assemble in the back. The pita was nice and well toasted, not too thick. The filling was onions, lettuce, pickles, sesame sauce, etc. All good. The chicken was good and tasty. The beef was a bit chewy and a bit lacking in flavour (like it was boiled) per the person whose option this was. Overall, it was good. I could have this again if I am in the area.

I came here couple times for their 2 for $11.50 deal. I got their beef and chicken shawarma wrap and it always hits the spot and doesn't break the bank. Nice little place and will definitely come back again

Got the beef shawarma plate and lamb shawarma plate. The portion size is decent for the price and hits the spot. I like that it opens until pretty late for those late night cravings.

Tasty has become my go to for cheap but delicious shawarma! Their food is alwaysss hot and fresh. Chicken is never too dry with the right amount of sauce and when I ask for more pickles, they go to town with the pickles! The best part is they have a two shawarma sandwich special for $10! That's unbeatableeeee

This place is great! The quality of food has never disappointed me. Their chicken is always fresh, soft, well-cooked, and very juicy. Their sauces are flavourful and rich. However, they do not put enough chicken in their chicken shawarma platters.

I've been here a long time ago and decided to try to try it right when I got in the place was empty they had a deal two shawarma for 9.50 not bad I got the chicken shawarma spicy to be honest I thought it was going to be bad because of the lack of customer but it wasn't to bad chicken wasn't dry which is good but they still got to make a lot of improvements such as the decor in the restaraunt it's like I'm in a graveyard very depressing I like a restaraunt packed with people but I understand the owners are hard workers hope they take my review into consideration and make the improvements

Dunno why the low stars. Delicious, fresh, and great value. Got 2 chicken shawarma sandwiches and they were loaded - didnt skimp on the chicken like other places. Only downside is You cant see them prepare it. But as long as its made right - who cares. Will come again!

I am no Shawarma expert but I can tell how a shawarma should look and taste like with my limited experience. Tasty Shawarma's version is just nasty. I think they have it all wrapped up like a taco pie on purpose so no one can see what they put inside, which is hardly anything. I know $10 for tax for 2 sounds cheap but you really get what you paid for. I could only finished the Chicken one but just could not get myself to eat the Beef one because it was just so dry. Skip the shawarma sandwich for sure. Maybe other options is better? But I won't be wasting my time and money to bet on that.

Heads-up to fellow Americans: If you're visiting from the United States, bring Canadian cash! Credit and debit cards issued in the United States are not accepted here. Nonetheless, the staff was really helpful and attentive while explaining their payment procedure. They walked me through the alternatives with no haste or attitude, which made the experience even more inviting. I ordered the Sultani Plate, which included a skewer of tender koobideh and a perfectly grilled barg kabob. The meat was juicy, tasty, and beautifully grilled. The rice was buttery and fragrant, and the side salad provided a welcome fresh crunch. My wife and kids chose the Chicken Chapli Kabab Plate, and we were all impressed. The patties were juicy, seasoned just right, and went perfectly with the rice and naan. It's a terrific choice for both adults and children, as it's tasty but not overly spicy. We also got Mango Shakes and bottled water. The shakes were thick and creamy, with a tropical sweetness that complemented the savory foods well. A terrific way to calm down and finish the meal. Atmosphere-wise, the setting was clean, family-friendly, and busy--but service was efficient. You could tell this place is popular among locals, and for good reason. Whether you're a local or a guest, Bamiyan Kabob is a must-stop for anyone looking for hearty, tasty Afghan cuisine delivered with real friendliness. Just don't forget your Canadian dollars!

What just happened?…read more I used to love this place. In fact, I would drive 30 minutes each way just to pick up some of those tasty kebabs and that unforgettable garlic sauce. The food was so full of flavour and care, it stood out among Toronto's many Middle Eastern options. Lately, I'd been seeing a lot of their mouthwatering Instagram videos--chicken shawarma piled high, platters being loaded up with garlic sauce and fries, etc.... What can I say? The marketing worked. I started thinking about Aleppo Kebab and decided to order some for lunch via Uber Eats. Unfortunately, the meal fell flat. The shawarma was bland, and flavourless. The rice, once fragrant and almost biryani-like, was now just plain and forgettable. The salad was not dressed, the garlic dip tasted like it came out of a can, and the sujuk rolls were coated in a chalky flour residue that made them unappetizing. I'm not sure if this was just an off day or a more systemic issue. But every part of the meal was underwhelming. It's disappointing, especially when I know what they're capable of. They've clearly stepped up their marketing game--but if the food doesn't live up to the hype, no amount of social media will keep people coming back. I'll give it one more try before writing it off completely, but here's hoping the Aleppo Kebab I once raved about makes a comeback. Until then, 2 stars is fair.

The menu has appetizers, wraps, plates, platters as well as sides for you to choose from. You can also customize your wraps and have it Arabic style or have everything included; you are also able to choose the level of spiciness you want as well. I've heard many good things about Alpha's Shawarma and have never tried them until recently. Stepping into Alpha's Shawarma you are greeted by a long counter filled with ingredients as well as their shawarma meats which are on a vertical rotating spit. The cashier is towards the middle of the restaurant where there is quite a bit of seating at the back to enjoy your purchased items. There is also a small display of desserts as well next to the cashier. I opted to get a chicken shawarma saj with all the toppings (garlic sauce, hummus, pickles, turnips, onion & parsley, lettuce, tomato, tahini, and pomegranate molasses). I picked a table while waiting for my wrap to be made which took about less than 5 min. Service was friendly and they called out my order number on the loud speaker where I grabbed my wrap. The staff asked me if I wanted extra garlic sauce which I replied "yes!" where they placed more garlic sauce on my wrap. Sitting down, I took a nice bite out of my chicken shawarma. It was delicious - the chicken was moist and tender and the ingredients worked well together. Next time I do want to try the wrap with only Arabic toppings (garlic sauce, pickles, fries, and pomegranate molasses). However, I enjoyed all the toppings on my shawarma wrap which was also nicely toasted. The portion of the wrap was pretty big and I was full after I finished the whole thing. The garlic sauce was great - it was creamy and full of garlic flavour but not too overpowering. Overall, friendly service and a great place for shawarma near the Yonge-Dundas area. I totally understand why everyone's been talking about how delicious Alpha's Shawarma is!

The take-out counter was open, so we opted for that instead. Most of the foods on display were ready-to-go and vegetarian / vegan. You can also order manakeesh (Lebanese flatbread topped with toppings such as cheese, spinach, and za'atar - akin to thin-crust pizza) to be made on site. We opted for the vegetarian mix-and-match plates, which came with either rice or salad, 5 small sides, and 3 falafels. Most of the items were pretty good, my favourites being the arnabeet (cauliflower), eggplant with chickpeas and tomato-based sauce, bamya (okra), and white cannellini beans salad. The warak enab (also called dolma or stuffed grape vine leaves) was flavourless and had too much ratio-to-grape vine leaves ratio (more rice inside that I'd like). The tabbouleh was way too salty. The other dishes were good though. Although the manakeesh was made fresh to order, it came out pretty fast. It was also extremely salty. There were a few small tables by the take-out counter, for those who wish to eat the take-out items on the spot. They packaged all the items very well to avoid leakage.
