We've been to Tasty Buscuit several times now and we've left happy following each visit. The food is really good--huge portions, like plan to take home leftovers portions if you like leftovers. Service has always been good as well. The menu is big, which is a turn-off to some, but everything I've had has been very tasty and made properly. The only thing we could eat was the frappe (which was delish) but when we alerted the staff the waitress informed us the manager refuses to take items off the receipt, and didn't even offer a substitute dish. I haven't reviewed in a while and I don't want to come in only for a poor review so I will be fair. We loved this place when it was Quincy's I don't know if it's the same owner. The place is nice. We were seated at a table right away for 6 ppl which was nice. It was tight as can be but we didn't want to bother asking for an add on table. We moved the condiments basket to the two top next to us rather than making our own extra space by adding the table. The staff was unhappy and came back and shoved it back on our table. No one sat there the duration of the time we dined. Originally wanted to order chilaquiles but the photo looked like nachos with fried eggs, diced onion on the side. We are used to it being mixed up with the sauce, so the chips are more like corn tortillas. So we didn't order. NBD. Ordered the burrito instead. It's huge, good, red sauce was good. Took half home. Unfortunately we went to eat it today and the eggs were completely green in the middle. I tried to call the establishment at the number on Apple Maps. It's disconnected. The website shows a 404 error. So instead of discussing privately with the manager I had to get the message to him this way. On a good note the biscuits sure are tasty. read more

I ordered through DoorDash. The first problem was the Band G that I got was advertised as "country gravy with biscuits" and hash browns....when I got it it was not country gravy. Today was my 5th visit, and I offer these comments to ownership: Pecans on oatmeal should be toasted so they are crisp, not chewy. Milk should be offered on the side. We went around 12:30 on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised how busy it was we had only a short wait time. I am a soup person and enjoyed the cream of chicken rice. Soup (they always have it) it was fresh but was not hot. My husband had French onion soup and that was also not hot at all and way to many onions vs broth. The waitress you could tell was over whelmed with her area as she gave coffee to me husband but was venting due to no cups available. My daughter ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap, I had a Greek salad and hubby got a Chubby blt sandwich. Our waitress completely forgot about us as we were sitting there for 40min and then finally got our food. I knew she forgot about us as people who came after us got there food that same time. They gave my daughter a sandwich no wrap, my Greek salad had very very soft cucumber's that probably should not of been on the plate and my husbands and daughter sweet potato fries where cold. I have been to Tasty Biscuit 2 times and every time i'm severely disappointed. The food is very mediocre and their portions are huge. No one can possibly finish one portion by themselves and they wouldn't want to either because the food isn't great. The first time I went, I had great service. The waiter was very nice, i wish i could say the same thing about the second time. The waitress the second time, was extremely unprofessional. It was very clear she didn't want to be there serving us and she was counting down the minutes until we left. My entire table noticed how she was very stand off-ish. She was very short with us. She got an omelet with onions. 2. I ordered eggs over medium, sausage patty's, hash browns, and whole wheat toast. My coffee and hash browns were hot. The sausage patty's were barely warm. What a disappointment! Although this location is bright and cheerful, ambiance only carries a restaurant so far. The menu is large, varied and so much sounds good but the prices are high. A hot tea is $5.50! So we just opted for water. I had a breakfast sandwich on the namesake biscuit with country ham, eggs, and cheddar. My companion had an omelette with turkey bacon, broccoli, and cheddar. Country ham is offered across the menu but what came on my sandwich was deli lunch meat ham - tasteless and watery. A far cry from a thick slice of salty, toothsome country ham. And the turkey bacon was these thick, big hunks of pink meat scattered in the omelette. So unappetizing and so big that each piece had to be cut into at least four pieces to even attempt to eat it. Yuck. Our waiter never came back to the table after initial delivery so of course forget about refills on water. Someone else put to go boxes and the bill at our table. The omelette was so undesirable we didn't even box it up. The two disappointing meals, no beverages, were $40 with tip. Skip this place! read more

My family always had positive experiences here and enjoyed their food in the short time they've been open. However, I tried to place a carryout order today and no one answered the phone and it led to a bad experience. Yes, it was Mother's Day; and I get it. It's a very busy day and I expected it to be. I placed an order in person in the latter part of the day and was surprised how promptly it was ready, and the hosts and cashiers were polite. As I was leaving, I asked to speak to a manager. A young woman comes from the back and I initially praised her on past meals and then asked about the phone situation. She got defensive and said she had the phone shut off due to the staff being busy earlier. I didn't dispute they were busy earlier. That said, when I arrived, the two hosts were talking to themselves; there were two cashiers (only one handling customers); at least three people behind a counter wrapping silverware in napkins, and at least one that appeared to be doing nothing - and not one, NOT ONE of them could pick up the phone during this time of the day (which I didn't mention to her but it was obvious to see). The manager said their phone system isn't equipped to have a pre-recorded message when called (uh, you're supposed to be a business! What year is this?) and somehow implied that I thought the busy kitchen staff should answer the phone. Then she promptly turned her back to me and quickly walked away before I could say I made no such suggestion about any of the kitchen staff answering the phone, and finish the conversation. Overall, I'd say the encounter was 5% apologetic and 95% "push back" and defensive attitude; it could have been handled better. Still, there is a sign outside that reads "Carryout" and I think the restaurant has an obligation to honor that any day they are open; and I would think some carryout orders would come in by phone. I understand the constraints and demands of Mother's Day and would understand if there would be a longer than normal time for the order. I would hope one objective of a "manager" is to ensure to have me return to their business after talking to them; not to never come back. I entered there today thinking I'd still be a repeat customer. I left there today telling myself our family will never come back. There are other breakfast/lunch options in Naperville; many right there on Ogden Avenue alone. It's very competitive and it's not just about food; but courtesy as well. read more

I tried this restaurant and was disappointed by the service and manager Emily's interaction. I explained that my order was not correct and I was told I was wrong with what I saw in my food and went she back and forth with me telling I was wrong. That is poor customer service. Since I asked to have the skillet removed she charged me for the pancakes that came with the meal. When I asked her why I was being charged she said she discounted the side of pancakes and again said my food was fine. After I told her that I would not be back and was waiting to pay my bill she decided to cover it. I take cross contamination very seriously since I am vegetarian. Instead of telling me that I was wrong she should have just replaced it and this review and my experience would have been different. My family and I eat breakfast out on a regular basis.
