Tasty Biscuit - Breakfast for 2 - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Naperville, Illinois

I've been here probably 13 times since they opened. Their menu is pretty extensive, and well laid out. The food, across all visits, has been consistently excellent, as has the service. The venue is well-staffed by pleasant, friendly, caffeinated staff. So, up to this point, I'd be happy awarding them 5 stars. But, I visited Tasty Biscuit this morning, and noted some things that I wish/hope Management and Corporate would address: 1. Sometime over this Summer, the Counter disappeared! You CAN'T have a Diner without a Counter!! I understand that this building is problematic - but when Quincy's was here, it was just fine. 2. The Staff was maybe a little too brisk for my Saturday 8:30 AM visit. I counted 11 in black t-shirts on the floor (probably more Servers in the back), moving at breakneck speed, although the restaurant was FAR from full. This may or may not be an issue to you. I enjoy a leisurely breakfast: over the past 5 decades, if I'm late for something, it's usually MY fault, and I politely tell my Server: who ensures their service is prompt and accurate. I go "inside" even if there's a drive-in Window. I enjoy chatting with people (hence my preference for Counters ) and try - ALWAYS - to try and make the Server's lives more pleasant and jolly. A little Kindness goes a long way! Not here, though. By the time you see the Server, they're walking away! An incident this morning - I was looking at the News on my iPhone, when I heard a bang on my table. I decoupled from my phone, and there on the Table was my BREAKFAST! I looked around, and there was nobody nearby- not a runner, not my Server. Not a word of greeting or warning or "here's your breakfast, Mr. Valued Customer!" Odd, impersonal, bleak, alarming, unjolly, soulless. and unsettling. It REALLY impacted my experience, dining there. 3. This morning, the food was not hot. It was not COLD either (or I would have raised a fuss), but it was not HOT, either. My butter would not melt on it. With all those people on the floor, and not at a "rush period", THERE IS NO EXCUSE. Not that J'd get one anyway from the Ijet-fueled Servers. 4. In my dotage (as my Usefulness in our "Winning Society" wanes and flickers out) , when I'm presented with the check, I present my Credit Card and my AARP Card. Whether Tasty Biscuit accepts them or not (they don't)!, this is an unobtrusive and (I've been told) POLITE way of giving the Server "all the information they need" without slowing them down. Essential, in this case. "God forbid I consume a nanosecond of their paid time!!! " The AARP card was not: * Acknowledged (Servers on Hi-Test) * Discounted (Tasty Biscuits' Corporate decision; I'm okay with that) Y'know, after mulling over my Experience this morning, I'm forced to re-rate my Review to Three Stars: * 5 stars to begin, based on my previous visits * Minus two stars for my Experience this morning. In the broader context, Tasty Biscuit, there is JUST NO REASON fir me to justify spending $21.93 (with tip) for a Belgian Waffle and an Iced Tea. None whatsoever. My only recourses here are to: * Enact a "No-Tip" policy unless the Service is truly exceptional * Stop visiting Tasty Biscuit altogether * Stop eating out. Period. I dislike the latter two, so only the first remains. It's apparent that the Industry wishes me to accelerate what's already happening: to make room for a younger person who has no traffic with Service, Kindness, and Human Interaction. Home-schooled Gen Z, probably, or rooting for the Fueher. Or both. read more

Tasty Biscuit - I can forgive non-hot food during a Rush. But this?! - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Naperville, Illinois

Because sometimes you just want breakfast for lunch! Got a sample of a few things. They really had a nice assortment of things. Everything was good, my only complain was that the eggs and hash browns had zero seasoning. Everything else came out great, considering I ordered for delivery. My guess is that it's even better when you eat on site! read more

This place seriously serves up everything, and yet, you really can't go wrong. The beignets are a must-- they came out warm and fluffy with the perfect sugary coating. The biscuits and gravy hit the comfort food spot, but the Sugga Momma stole the show. Sweet and savory piled high, done right. It was crowded for a Sunday morning, but our service was great. Cozy spot with hearty portions-- I can't wait to come back. read more

We used to come here a lot because we loved this place but recently moved. Haven't been back in about a year. This was a super disappointing visit. The service and decor was still great and modern but the quality of food isnt there anymore. Our visit was on Easter Sunday, expecting it to be busy, it really wasn't too busy. My husband ordered the corn beef and eggs meal and the corn beef was SUPER dry. I ordered the country fried steak and the steak was a small portion and felt mushy. To top it off the kids meals state they include a drink, specifically listing milk and juice. My daughter got kids pancakes which were good but they charged additional because she got the orange juice. Very disappointing this was communicated. The reason im giving them two stars is because the kids meal seemed good and my daughter enjoyed it. The orange juice also tasted wonderful but it would have been nice to have had the additional price communicated to us prior to receiving the bill. read more

Visited around 9 am on a Monday- not very busy, a few tables were occupied. Solid Tiramisu latte- it came with a little cookie which was a nice touch. Ordered the "Nasty" skillet (their name, not mine), which was the opposite of nasty- quite delish. I will be back- overall very good breakfast spot. Fast service and good food. read more

Tasty Biscuit is our new favorite go to breakfast and brunch place. They have a large menu to satisfy all breakfast and lunch cravings. They offer savory selections like biscuits and skillets and dishes for those with a sweet tooth. Their salads are a wonderful option as well. My favorite is the nasty biscuit with fried chicken, eggs, hashbrowns, and gravy. It's delicious, savory, and comes in a huge portion. This restaurant is always busy, so I recommend getting on the online waitlist or coming early. read more

Tasty Biscuit lives up to the praise with its bright and open interiors that is filled with the smell of breakfast specials, it is a must go. Stand out dishes are the fluffy biscuit with gravy, skillets and the sandwiches. Well I guess the entire menu screams of big portions and even bigger flavors. With Ample parking it is a go to for office folks nearby. read more

The avocado tuna wrap is amazing. Love the atmosphere. Great service. My friend got a peach Melba lemonade served in a cute mason jar mug. I was so famished I don't remember tasting the food hahah. Saw the Tasty Biscuit on the way back from the car wash and decided to stop by and see how the breakfast is. Inside it's very bright and white which is very appealing to the eyes - fancy ambiance. We were immediately seated and our order was taken very quickly. We ordered eggs, bagel, hash browns, coffee, turkey bacon, fried green tomatoes, and the pumpkin specialty French Toast. Food was good! Worth checking out :). read more

We loved Tasty Biscuit! Husband and I were pleasantly surprised to order skillets that came with a biscuit AND either toast, another biscuit or pancakes (I got pancakes, 10/10) They have a huge menu w lots of yummy things, one thing I rlly wanted to try was the fruity pebbles french toast. We had quick service, tasty food, and our waiter was really awesome. We went in the afternoon so it wasn't too busy and we were able to get a table quickly. Thank you Tasty Biscuit for a delicious experience! read more

Our first time visiting them since the place opened. We were so surprise to find beignets in their menu. They are really good almost similar to Disney's beignets at The French quarter. The biscuit omelet is huge! The service was very fast too, we got our own coffee pot in the table. The restaurant has plenty of natural light too. The restaurant has a welcoming feel as how my husband described it. That means we will be coming back! read more

The vibe of the restaurant was very chill and felt cozy. We were greeted by the hostess who took us to our table. We then sat to order our food. Our waiter was very nice and was very patient with the inquires we had regarding the menu. Although the was nice, that was the only time we saw our waiter. The tuna melt was too salty that we had to send the dish back. The "suga mama" does truly live upto its name it was overly sweet that we couldn't finish the dish. The hashbrowns were very bland and needed a ton of salt which we added ourselves. The only saving grace was the veggie panini. read more

Good brunch food, good service and slightly less noisy than other breakfast places. I would highly recommend!

Had high hopes for this place. Looks nice on the outside, and the inside is nice as well. The waitress was unfriendly. Not mean or rude, but didn't smile at all, and threw water and napkins off in passing without stopping at the table. Didn't come back after the food was delivered to ask how everything was. The food was very underwhelming. I ordered the breakfast burrito which comes with cheese, refried beans and salsa (on the side). There just wasn't any flavor at all, none. read more

We visited for the first time on Sept 30. We had a great experience with excellent customer service. The inside was clean, simple, and bright. And we thought the food was delicious - big servings. Pricey but we thought the value was good because we had leftovers for a 2nd meal. My Hubbie ordered steak and eggs with a side of pancakes. Check out the size of the steak! I ordered the Carolina Benny with fried green tomatoes! Both were excellent. We visited again the next day to try their lunch menu. We ordered a gyro and a panini. Both were good and the servings were large. The service was fine. No complaints but we were more impressed with breakfast the day before. This will definitely be a place we will frequent going forward. read more

I don't normally leave bad reviews but I think my experience here deserves a bad review. I ordered an iced americano and received a hot one so I said I ordered an iced one and the same lady came back with the same americano just poured over ice so the cup was still warm and all the ice melted before my drink was even cold. Then I ordered a skillet and didn't receive a biscuit with it when all the tables around me received biscuits with their skillets and the menu says you get a biscuit. I ended up upgrading my pancakes for the granny apple pancakes and instead of receiving what was pictured on the menu I got normal pancakes with a side of cooked apples... not at all what was described or pictured on the menu and not at all worth a 4.99 up charge. So overall not the best experience. Our server also never came around to check on us until we were done and ready to pay the bill. I ordered the skirt skillet so the skillet itself was good and the only reason I'm putting 2 stars. read more

I have been a few times before and liked the workers and the breakfast. This morning was bad. I normally ask for a chair at the counter and they accommodate me, this time I was coldly refused by the gray/black haired older lady. She was almost rude stating they didn't provide use of the 2 chairs near the counter for use at the counter any longer. No polite explanation or asking if I would mind sitting at a table. I walked out with very bad vibes and it ruined my day. I can't think of any reason to walk through the doors of Tasty Biscuit ever again. Good bye and good riddance. I felt like giving her the finger. read more

Came in on Sunday for a brunch. Got seated right away and it was a little busy but still tables available. Ordered a snickerdoodle iced latte and a orange juice which we got maybe 10 minutes later. When seated our table was still wet and smelled like chemicals but not going to complain. Menu is big, lots of choices but on the pricey side as because everything is going up in price. I had ordered the french toast combo with a side of hash brown which had come out to $16 and for what I had got Id say not worth it. We also got a pancake combo for $15 and pancakes were just okay, eggs could use a little something to them. Overall nice decor, I heard they renovated it from a diner look. Also there wasn't ventilation or air circulating so it felt sticky inside. read more

This was our first time dining at Tasty Biscuit after is full transformation from Quincy's. The inside was fully updated including: new tables, chairs, booths, coffee bar upon entry, second dining area, and updated decor. For a busy Sunday brunch, the noise level was pleasant and staff was hustling! Our waitress gave off the sweetest, most welcoming energy. She gave us enough time between check ins to decide what we wanted and ensure we had everything we needed. We received our own small hot coffee container to self serve which was great. Each of our meals came out in a timely fashioned and hit the spot! Some of the best diced breakfast potatoes I've tried. Only comments were the gravy could have a bit more spiced/peppered and we had wished the water cups were refilled. Overall, we would certainly go back! read more

I stopped into this new location for a tasty breakfast today. Despite being a weekday, it was quite busy, so I would be curious what it's like on a weekend! I would say that the parking lot is definitely poorly laid out: trying to maximize the space, but it's a zoo. It seemed mostly full when the restaurant inside wasn't nearly that crowded. The inside of the place was stylish black and white accented with plants. The menu resembles The Southern Cafe in Geneva with the Nasty Biscuit etc. So I wonder if they're related. My breakfast of biscuits and gravy, hash browns and bacon was tasty, though the gravy didn't stay warm through the time it took me to eat my meal. All the staff I interacted with was very nice and helpful. Overall, I would return to the Tasty Biscuit for convenience factor alone, but probably stick to weekdays, particularly early on! read more

Look no further if you want a nice brunch place with tons of options and large filling portions with a cute, modern aesthetic. My friend and I got seated right away even though the parking lot was completely packed. Out of the many options, I chose the mexicana skillet and an iced mocha latte. The latte was good and had lots of whipped cream on top. They had tons of syrup and drink options, from smoothies to various coffee drinks. The skillet was large... I couldn't finish it all and the biscuit was clearly freshly made and buttery. I will definitely be adding this place to my brunch restaurant rotation! read more

This place has a great menu and our server was amazing. However, unfortunately, the food was not very good with several items being overcooked. We tried the skillets and my kids tried the pancakes. All the food was just okay, not too good. I would have expected their biscuits to be better (given their name). The prices are too expensive for the food. read more

Fiancee and I went here for breakfast on 2/15/25. I ordered the Nasty Skillet. It was anything but nasty. It was SOOOO good, and the pancakes as a side was just as good. A lot of food for the price too. Our waitress, I cannot remember her name but had tattoos all over was very friendly and accommodating. Like suggesting I have the pancakes as a side dish to be cheaper. Ambiance was quaint. Nothing too fancy but not run down either. I liked it. Fresh squeezed O.J. though? People...it comes in a decent glass but it is $5 per glass!!!! I will eat here again if I am in town and its breakfast time. read more
