It's a small café style restaurant. They do serve breakfast and lunch. I opted for the pecan pancakes. They were humongous! I only ate half and had to take the rest home. The coffee was alright and the staff was friendly. Our food came out quickly. It can be noisy if it gets crowded.

Tried this restaurant recently with my girlfriend over Brunch. We started off with orange juice. We then had multi grain pancakes and ham & cheese. Skillet. The food was good. The service was great. The server even helped us with clicking our pictures. The ambiance is decent. As it's located inside a plaza there are plenty of parking spots. I would highly recommend this place!

The food and service is good--but the ambiance is too stark for a morning breakfast place. We felt like we were in a large cafeteria.

It has a pretty strange location that makes it seem out of place. Just don't judge it until you go in. The prices are pretty okay for being coffee that's local and independently owned. Basically the coffee is the main thing of course. It's got kind of a small selection but they only make the best stuff. There's the basics like the lattes and a few of the specialties too. Actually can be good to not be too complicated. It's about $5 to get a specialty coffee, which isn't that bad to be honest. Also has bags of coffee beans to go. The last time in here I got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte. Like drinking cereal. They also have a few pastries. It's about $2 for a croissant. The Vegan Curved Croissant is one of these. Fluffy and still has a buttery flavor. There's also a few breakfast sandwiches. Finding it can be complicated. It's located in a building on Schoolhouse Road. There's also a pizza place in the same location so after going here you can go there.

They always have such a variety for every pallet from semi sweet to extra dry. Have only had an issue once with service and it was handled to my satisfaction. I enjoy the trio medallions or the pork chop when I desire to eat more. On the lighter side, I have fallen in love with the sausage and burrata flat bread, a delicate but flavorful bite. On this occasion, I grabbed a couple of friends and we participated in the 5K Wine Run. Oh what fun! I don't want to give away any spoilers but there is good wine included with your registration. Stay for brunch afterwards, but I encourage you to make a reservation. Although, it rained during the walk/run, it was warm and still made for a nice experience. The sun came out afterwards kinda like an additional reward besides our medal.

The dark roast coffee was had more flavor than the regular coffee. I had the Large Eggcroissant, husband had Crepes Florentine, and a yogurt parfait for the Train Enthusiast. The star of the offerings was the hollandaise sauce. Most hollandaise sauce is insipid (at best) and excruciatingly over used. Husband tends to ask for it on the side because there's no reason to ruin an adequate meal by drowning it with bland yellow sludge. Eggcetera Cafe's hollandaise tasted delicately of lemon as it should. He drizzled it artistically on his crepes after a pleasantly surprised taste. The croissant sandwich was huge. They are very generous with the cheese and side of potatoes. The potatoes needed some salt (and a bit of hubby's extra hollandaise) but we nicely soft with a bit of brown. The parfait was sweet. It had whipped cream and slices of strawberries, and American style blended yogurt. It was very sweet and the Little Train Enthusiast was thrilled with trains and parfait. The changing table in the Women's has a broken strap and that made changing the Enthusiast a bit precarious but I'm usually just grateful not to have to use the floor. I'm happy we broke our fast at Eggcetera Cafe. We'll be happy to visit again.

No warm fuzzies were felt as I entered into the restaurant. $5 for a small cranberry juice. Wow. I'll make sure to go to the grocery store 1st next time. Corn beef hash comes hot, but it's out from a can for sure. Asked for 2 orders of crispy bacon. I've had better. It's a little flimsy but they give your 4 slices per order to compensate. Can't complain about that. Asked for buttered toast. They obliged. A lot of restaurants don't do it. The star of the show: the hash browns. The best in the south suburbs. Real potatoes fried just right. Hot and and delicious even after a 15 minute trip. Could use some seasoning, but...whatever. Maybe I'll share that with them when I return, because I will return for those hash browns!

Nicky Vs is newer to the area, and I'd been wanting to give it a try. I went in hoping it would be…read moremore than just another local beef and hot dog joint, and it absolutely delivered. I tried quite a few items: the gyro double cheeseburger, hot dog, chili cheese fries, breaded steak sandwich, polish dog, and mozzarella sticks. The gyro double cheeseburger was definitely unique. I'd give a slight nod to the cheeseburger over the gyro since the gyro meat was a little more well-done than I prefer. Every bite tasted different--one bite had the classic cheeseburger flavor with mustard, while the next tasted like a gyro with tzatziki sauce. It was an interesting combination that somehow worked really well. The hot dog was very good. I'd absolutely order it again and recommend it if someone asked. That said, it's also just a really solid hot dog. There wasn't anything revolutionary about it, but it was exactly what I wanted. The chili cheese fries were one of the highlights of the meal. Instead of simply putting chili and cheese on top of a pile of fries, they layer and mix everything together inside a soda cup. It's almost like they made a chili cheese fry casserole. Every bite had the perfect ratio of fries, chili, and cheese. Honestly, they should call it chili cheese with fries instead of fries with chili cheese. One of my favorite things to order at places like Nicky Vs is an Italian breaded steak sandwich because restaurants either know how to make one or they don't. Nicky Vs definitely does. At first I thought the price was a little steep--right around $20--but as soon as they handed it to me I understood why. It came triple wrapped, was absolutely loaded with toppings and juices, and was enormous. The sandwich struck the perfect balance between being hearty and flavorful. If you're craving a breaded steak sandwich, this is the place. If you're someone who orders polish sausages like I do, you'll know every restaurant has its own version. Some taste more like a hot dog, others more like a regular sausage. Nicky Vs serves a polish that truly tastes like a polish. It's hard to explain because that's literally in the name, but the flavor is exactly what you'd hope for. It also came with the biggest sport peppers I've ever seen. The picture I attached isn't an illusion--I didn't even know sport peppers came that size. I'd definitely recommend ordering the polish. The only disappointing thing about the mozzarella sticks is that they only come in a five-piece order. They were crispy on the outside, perfectly gooey on the inside, and exactly what a mozzarella stick should be. Overall, Nicky Vs impressed me. With several similar restaurants in the area, I think this place has a great chance to become a local favorite. Nothing completely blew me away, but there also wasn't a single thing I wouldn't order again. That's honestly a compliment in itself. If you're in the mood for burgers, hot dogs, beefs, or other grilled classics, Nicky Vs is absolutely worth checking out.
