It's located in Bloomfield in the former Lombardozzi's - a neighborhood and restaurant that I'm super familiar with given my family's ties to the area. I'm so glad that such a popular restaurant was able to take over the space, and it was so special to return to the restaurant in its new form. While Bloomfield has historically been "little Italy," it's been fun to see various ethnicities leave their mark on the neighborhood and become so successful - including Scandinavian Fet Fisk! Since it is so highly regarded, I knew reservations would be tough, but I was able to snag a timeslot on our preferred date without issue (with some stalking of the site); the team was very accommodating as well when we needed to change the number of diners in our party. When arriving for our reservation, I was pleased that we easily found street parking (again, we're familiar with the area, so someone else may not find this as easy). The restaurant maintained some of the original decor and structure from Lombardozzi's, namely the wood paneling, but they also added their own touches. It has a dark and moody vibe with different overhead lights that give a unique touch and tint to the experience. I loved all the decor, especially in the holding room where we waited while our table was being prepared (had old menus and other fun wall hangings). Our server was super kind and guided us through approaching the menu. They were also understanding of my avoidance of certain foods / preparations since I was pregnant at the time of our dining! For drinks, we were happy to see a wide variety on the menu, including unique twists on cocktails, beers, wines, and plenty of NA options.
