On my first visit to the food truck in Katy, long way from Pasadena. The staff were friendly and the order taking was straight forward. I ordered the 9" cheese steak with Provolone and an order of the Bourbon wings. Sub was waaaaaay cheesy (not like traditional subs) but good. The wings are BOMB and the fries are too! Cheesesteak was fantastic. Cheesesteak egg roll is a game changer. Guys there are very cool. The wait is a bit long. It is a food truck so waiting was expected and I suppose them having so many orders means they're doing something right, and they are. The food is fresh, high quality ingredients and the bread is also fresh. Midwestern chefs know how to make a serious sandwich and I was not disappointed. You may be leary of getting a cheesesteak from a food truck but let me tell you it is one of the best you will find in Houston. The food is always fresh and made to order. This may mean a bit of a wait depending on when you go but it is worth it. There are a variety of things on the menu besides cheesesteaks (wings, hot dogs and appetizers) and the prices are reasonable. All of the sandwiches are a very nice size and there is more than enough to get you full. The other plus is that the truck is located in the Ritter's Custard parking lot so after you get your entree you can get dessert within walking distance. read more

I thought that they were over-priced, but I ordered anyway. After more than 45 min. my order was finally ready. The onion rings were cold, I didn't get what I ordered, & it was definitely NOT a Philly Cheesesteak sub.! There was a lot of meat w/ very few onions & bell peppers, & there weren't extra onions as I had asked for. There was some kind of orange sauce on it which after taking a few bites I threw it away! A true P Cs is made w/ provolone cheese (this was an ingredient written on their bd, but there was none) & is topped w/ lettuce & tomatoes. Definitely NOT "the best Philly Cheesesteak in TX"! The food truck needs to be cleaned up & has an inspection sticker/license dated 2017. I'm sure that they were towed in. Needless to say, I will never stop by that nasty place, again! We starting off with 2 1/2 stars immediately because this particular spot is black owned and operated ... I love to see it. First time pulling up here .. veggie Philly, regular Philly and a side of mozzarella sticks were the chosen projects for the day to test this place out (I caught them before they stopped serving fries with the sandwiches, small wins matter) .. all of that was $25 .. very reasonable price for the portion. I started with a few fries, cuz greedy.. I have no idea what they season them with but it's different and delicious. I personally didn't enjoy the mozzarella sticks .. 1 reason being the marinara sauce wasn't secured properly and got all over them .. the other being the breading was too thin for me, but they weren't disgusting .. jus not tailor made for me. The veggie joint wasn't mine but I was told it was good and flavorful. The original Philly was full of meat and very good. I usually 86 the mushrooms when other places ask if I want to add them but it was a nice addition .. I only wish I would have asked for extra cheese. The only thing that will stop me from coming back frequently depends on the tag they add to their fries. Very good and worth the 20 minute drive for us. We got a range of items from the hot boy, uncle Phil, sliders, egg rolls and chicken strip. All the sandwiches were cooked to perfection. The hot boy sandwich was hot but not overpowering and you could definitely enjoy the taste. I had to give 4 stars only because all fries we got were under cooked and soggy. Would absolutely not stop me from coming again! They were slammed a few hours before closed and may have just pulled them too quickly. I highly recommend you give them a try. I found this food truck on Facebook and wanted to give it a try because I haven't had a good philly cheese steak in awhile. There was a 40 min wait but it was nice out so I put in my order. They take your number so they can text you when your food is ready which is great because you can go run some errands while you wait. So finally the time came for my food. I couldn't get home quick enough because the food smelled so good! Got home and prepared to eat my sub and from the first nite I was in love!!! The bread was so soft and soaked up all the juices from the steak. Then the steak had a great flavor not over powered by seasoning just a great steak taste. After a long wait I got the corned beef Ruben and not sure why they mixed it with about 50% corned beef and 50% of Philly cheese steak meat? Hi Yelp buddies, I stumbled across this cute food truck with the big Twizzler mouth and lips perusing along Fry Rd a few weeks ago. I looked them up on Yelp and their website to see what all the buzz was about. I was captivated and could not wait to taste that amazing-looking Philly. So, I ordered Tastee Buddies Philly Cheesesteak, Wings, and Fries on Uber Eats. That captivating sensation quickly faded away after my second bite of the PCS. The sandwich was delivered fresh and hot, but what did it for me was the overpowering salty flavor that disappointed my taste buds. The wings weren't any better. They tasted like they were fried in really old cooking oil. And I did not care for the fries at all. The food was packed very well along with condiments and napkins. We ordered the Chicken Philly Sandwich. The sandwich was large and the bread was soft. The chicken was seasoned well and was very savory. We ordered fries to go with it. My husband ordered the large fries for the two of us to share. We could have fed four of us with the large fries. The fries were seasoned with a Cajun like seasoning and was very good.
