It took 40 minutes for a sandwich and fries. Plus they gave us a bag of chips instead the fries we paid for. They said they didn't have anything to cook them in, yet they made the food in 5 minutes. I wanted to like this spot because I'm from Philadelphia, however when they put mayonnaise on a bun and charge extra for meat, it's not Philly cheesesteak. Anyone who has a cheesesteak knows that you need more bread after you're finished...plus this place charges extra for cheese. It's hard to find a good sandwich. Don't go here if you're standards are high. The service was not good as well. My answer to the owner who acts like a toddler having a fit: You DID charge extra. It did take 40 mins for a cheese steak. You did say that to my boyfriend about the fries we ordered. Yet magically they appeared. Your truck is a scam and I'm not lying. Coming from Jersey I have had my fair share of Philly cheesesteaks, even from Philadelphia itself! The meat was very dry. The combination of cheese in the Philly didn't help the dryness. You may be leary of getting a cheesesteak from a food truck but let me tell you it is one of the best you will find in Houston. The food is always fresh and made to order. This may mean a bit of a wait depending on when you go but it is worth it. There are a variety of things on the menu besides cheesesteaks (wings, hot dogs and appetizers) and the prices are reasonable. All of the sandwiches are a very nice size and there is more than enough to get you full. I thought that they were over-priced, but I ordered anyway. After more than 45 min. my order was finally ready. There was a lot of meat w/ very few onions & bell peppers, & there weren't extra onions as I had asked for. There was some kind of orange sauce on it which after taking a few bites I threw it away! A true P Cs is made w/ provolone cheese (this was an ingredient written on their bd, but there was none) & is topped w/ lettuce & tomatoes. Definitely NOT "the best Philly Cheesesteak in TX"! The veggie joint wasn't mine but I was told it was good and flavorful. The original Philly was full of meat and very good. I usually 86 the mushrooms when other places ask if I want to add them but it was a nice addition .. I only wish I would have asked for extra cheese. The only thing that will stop me from coming back frequently depends on the tag they add to their fries. The hot boy sandwich was hot but not overpowering and you could definitely enjoy the taste. I had to give 4 stars only because all fries we got were under cooked and soggy. They take your number so they can text you when your food is ready which is great because you can go run some errands while you wait. So finally the time came for my food. I couldn't get home quick enough because the food smelled so good! Got home and prepared to eat my sub and from the first nite I was in love!!!
