YAY NO MORE DRIVING TO ROWLAND HEIGHTS FOR TASTEA! Although I do admit Tastea is the pricier side of boba, it really is good because of their fresh fruit that they use. I highly recommend their seasonal Watermelon Slush with boba as well as the Lychee Peachee with boba. This place can get pretty crowded with the local high school kids sitting around so the tables can get pretty full during the day. I am sooo mad!!! I usually have a good experience and i enjoy their drinks. Today, July 4th, i decided to go and order drinks for my family. The line was long but understandable being a holiday. I ordered my 6 drinks and some snacks and waited outside. After close to 20 minuets they called my name. I told the employee i ordered 6 drinks and he said no i only ordered 5. I said im sorry i ordered 6 drinks. He stared at me and said... i only ordered 5.... I said look, i need 6 drinks. He looked at me, i stared at him... i said im missing a drink. He said well... go wait in line and order. I was like WTH!!! The line was 10 people deep!!!! I was not planning on spending another 30 minutes there. It was real bad experience. I have been to the other locations numerous times and the alhambra location needs to make the drinks right. They are always water downed and missing ingredients. I have ordered they lychee peachee three times and it was always disappointing. First time no peach flavor/unsweetened when I ordered regular sweet. Second time still not sweet and hardly any lychee when I asked for extra sweet. Third time and will be my last was completely watered down no sugar or tea/peach flavor. I have to say, this location does not disappoint. SOO FUCKING HAPPY that there's a location so close to home rather than driving all the way to Rowland. I always order their buttload fries and kryptonite with honey boba. It taste just like the other location even tho the workers look like their in training. I talked to the supervisor?? that was working on 7/15 about their loyalty program & she ensured me that they will have their program up and running soon which made me kinda sad because all my rewards ): but definitely come to this location and bring some sunscreen. If you placed an order at the wrong location don't bother to call them to cancel the order. They won't pick up the call because they are "too busy". If they finally pick up the call after the 10th call. They will offer to issue a partial refund for sth you never even gotten. read more

Tea is sooooooo good here. Stopped by on a hot day and no line. I had no idea what I wanted to order but I saw something that caught my eye that had dried jackfruit. Mmmm. I ordered 3 drinks. One Thai tea, mango slushy and a green tea. Drinks were made to order. My cousin had the Thai tea and it came with green boba? He said it tasted like regular boba. I've been here a couple of times before covid hit since they have a good selection of fruity drinks that you can't find elsewhere. I decided to come back after a year try their new winter melon with cheese foam and was surprised that the drink was so sweet. I would definitely recommend half sweet at minimum depending on your tolerance level if getting that drink. read more

I usually go to Tastea in Rowland Heights and love it everytime. I was excited that they opened one in Alhambra so I stopped by before work. I ordered the Sunset peach and Buttload fries. I can't complain about the drink. However, those Buttload fries were a buttload of nasty. It was soggy, oily, bland, and just not very good. Tried a couple pieces then I threw it away. I don't understand what went wrong because I ALWAYS get fries at the Rowland Heights location and they are ALWAYS crunchy and flavorful. Now I don't know if I could trust this location again. The owners are great guys they always welcome you and always helping out their staff. I come here for lunch and get the fried shrimp top notch A1! I called Tastea, and they were extremely unhelpful and told me that they had nothing to do with delivery, even though I ordered through their own site. They also persistently told me to contact Door Dash even though their website mentions nothing about Door Dash and my order/receipt had no contact info for Door Dash whatsoever. I understand that the website provides inaccurate info, however, it was the employees' lack of desire to help as well as cluelessness about how their own delivery process works that left me appalled. In the end, when I asked how I could receive a refund for the $15 delivery fee, all they could provide me was the general phone number for Door Dash (which took 10 minutes to retrieve), when I could have googled that information for myself. Honestly so done with this Tastea location considering how slow they work and how little they care. read more

A friend told me about this place so my husband and I decided to try it out and we were glad we did,we ordered the Muddy Melon tea and their watermelon orange tea both were fresh very good...we also had their Shrimp on it,Karate chicken and Buttload fries they were all amazing with the right amount of spiciness, so good that my husband ordered more shrimp.I also ordered Orange Dream drink wich was DELICIOUSLY dreamy like an orange creamsicle. As a (now former) loyal customer of Tastea Alhambra, it saddens me to have to write this review, especially during the difficult times of COVID-19 when restaurants need the support of local patrons. However, my customer service experience today was so horrible that I feel compelled to let management know this is NOT OKAY. Tastea as a chain has lost a loyal customer today, as I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. On May 3, 2020 at 5:10pm, I made several attempts to place an online order on the Tastea website to try and support one of my favorite local tea spots. I kept getting an error message that the website was unable to accept online orders due to high volume. I decided to walk the 15 minutes over from my house to try to order in person. When I arrived, there were two other people outside the store waiting for their order. The store had placed red tape on the ground to facilitate physical distancing, however, it was not clear AT ALL where the line started or ended. I approached the table to place my order. At the same time, the supervisor on duty brought one of the waiting customers her order. The supervisor then very rudely barked at me to stand behind the red line. There were six different red lines - again not clear at all where to stand. This Tastea never really impressed me with their customer service even pre-COVID, but I let it go because I enjoy their drinks. After the other customer grabbed her order, I approached the table again and explained to the supervisor that I could not place my order online. She said that I had to keep refreshing the page every 5 minutes until it goes through because the store cannot accept cash or credit. I explained that I've been trying for the last 20 minutes from the time I left my house. She just shrugged and said "Sorry, there's nothing I can do" in the most blase/indifferent tone possible. I understand this is probably a mandate from corporate, which is not necessarily her fault, but... First of all, restaurants should not be making it HARDER for customers to support them. If you're going to require that customers order online in advance and not give stores the ability to take orders over the phone or in person, then you need to have a better back up plan when the website is down than asking customers to refresh every 5 minutes as they are standing in front of your store. There are dozens of other boba shops in Alhambra alone; no one is going to do that. There is plenty of technology out there for contactless payment; get with the times! Second, even if corporate is not setting up the store for success, the store employees (especially one with "SUPERVISOR" written on her name tag) need to be better trained to not speak to customers in such a rude way. I understand they are working in a stressful environment, but it doesn't give them license to be hostile to customers. We are still paying customers (some of us going OUT OF OUR WAY to support local businesses like yours) and should be treated with basic kindness and respect. When I was a manager in hospitality a long time ago, at times our servers would go down too. Instead of throwing our hands in the air and disappointing our customers, we would give out "Please come again" vouchers for 10% off their next visit as a way of showing our appreciation for their patronage. Even without the discount, at the very least, a sincere apology is in order. Final note to management and corporate: get on grip on your customer service if you want to stay in business. read more

I go to Tastea quite often and when I do, I order anywhere from a couple drinks to over 20 drinks when I decide to treat my coworkers. I don't usually write bad reviews or reviews at all but I felt like I had to after my last visit. On the times I've gone before, Beverly and Jose had been very helpful and quick when it came to making the many drinks I ordered. They always got me a box and even offered to help me carry the drinks to my car. Drinks were a hit and I went back multiple times to order 15+ drinks. They're the reason this review isn't one star, so thank you to them! So, I went in in the early afternoon and I ordered 6 32 ounces of avocado avalanches with Kenneth at the front. He didn't give me my change with my receipt but I didn't trip over it because it was only a dollar. When my drinks were ready, I asked Diane for a box since I was by myself and I clearly couldn't carry them all by myself. She told me that there were no boxes and then she asked Kenneth and he said there was no box that they can give me. I would've understood that they didn't have time to check if it was busy but I was literally one of two people in the store at the time. They didn't even bother to check the back and fake it, they just said no. I was over them and their attitudes so I just started making the trips back to my car. To be honest, I'll probably only go in if Beverly or Jose is working. I'd rather drive all the way to their Rowland Heights location instead. read more

this location isn't that hard to miss - in the huge parking complex next to 99 ranch. the shop itself is a bit small, which allows for everyone to get in and out really quickly with the super fast service, but the parking lot is huge!! with this pandemic and the added service sliding window it lets you go there super fast and get out just as quickly. the tastea app, where you order, allows you to pick and choose your customized order super easily and i've never had any troubles using it. they follow all the right guidelines and i'm really looking forward to being able to sit back in this shop when the pandemic gets better. the atmosphere of the shop is really great too. read more

The current covid-19 workflow for purchase and pickup is very inefficient. They dont have signs that the don't take phone orders. The only way to purchase is online and on the mobile app. For someone who has never been to this shop, this was very confusing. When you go online, the ability to customize drinks is also confusing. You have to do it one at a time and add it to the cart. There's no way to do it on one screen or attemp. During the pick-up, I encountered a huge crowd outside with staff not enforcing social distancing. Honestly, we were all so lost and not knowing what to do. It looked like everyones' drinks were late. People looking frustrated looking at there watches and phones. There's a small speaker outside the store with staff calling out names, but you can hardly hear a thing. I waited 18 minutes more than my assigned pick-up time. I came here intead of going to the Alhambra 7 leaves cafe. I regret coming here because I waited way longer than staying at the 7 leaves cafe drive-thru. I recommend 7 leaves cafe over Tastea because of their taste and overall experience. FYI, I live here in the city of Alhambra off of Main st. Poor service, poor taste, and poor experience. read more
