Garden salad with chicken
Brandon C.

We were fortunate enough to be invited to the funeral for Smashmouth's Steve Harwell and we were staying at the hotel so we decided to give this place a try. We ate here for dinner two nights in a row if that says anything! The restaurant is pretty much just the bar with a few tables on the outside. There is a lot of seating in the hotel lobby though. The bartender advised ordering the food "to go" so we could sit anywhere. We had dinner during the free happy hour so we just ordered from the bartender. All three of the bartenders I interacted with were polite and professional. The food came out within a reasonable amount of time. Both nights I ordered the garden salad with chicken. Although, one night they must not have heard me and did not include the chicken. The salad had greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, and dried cranberries. However, much like the chicken, I only received the cranberries on one of the nights. The chicken was cold and flavorless. I definitely recommend this place if you are staying at the hotel.

Our small group of friends came here on a weekday evening. This restaurant located inside the renovated Embassy Suites is quite interesting as the tables are spread out with some close to the lobby/lounge area. There's also a bar one one corner of the hotel. To my own curiosity, there were hardly anyone around except for a couple of occupied tables. Perhaps weeknight business is tough during off seasons. Anyhow, the service was expedient and we ordered the following: Steak frites, charred onion and arugula, fish & chips, and the fried chicken with provolone and aioli telera. I did not know what the telera is so looked it up and apparently, telera is the bread of choice used to make the Mexican sandwiches or torts. It tasted slight sour and had a nice firm texture. To my surprise, I found the sandwich to be really delicious. All the ingredients come together beautifully. The presentation of the dishes was a feast for the eyes. All the items on the plates were beautifully-laid out. The steak frites were cooked to perfection. The fish and chips also looked delightful. As for the taste and flavors, some were just okay but for the most part, it was as expected from a hotel restaurant. I may return in the future for certain occasions as the atmosphere is quite nice and conducive to business meetings and intimate discussions.

Tried TASTE for the first time couple weeks back, and we were pleasantly surprised. They've gone through a major remodel, which includes the installation of Tesla chargers, which is how we ended up here. Figured we'd grab dinner while the Tesla charged. There were only 2 other groups when we arrived on a Friday evening. They had a kids menu, which was great. My son got the chicken strips and fries, along with their Pink Lemonade. He loved his food. My husband got the fish and chips, I had one of their bacon burgers with criss-cut fries. Food wasn't bad. The servers were so friendly! We had a great experience, will definitely go back.

The service here is no doubt very friendly. I wish they had a better menu of food, but I guess typical hotel fare were standard pizzas and burgers. They did have quesadillas and chicken and waffles... I saw the chicken and waffles from a different table and I wasn't impressed with it. The full bar was a hit or miss. The Bloody Mary I got was okay, but they carried 209 Gin so that was great. It's very rare to find 209 in a hotel in the Bay Area. Anyway, I believe they also catered the daily breakfast as well as our event's lunch buffet. The breakfast had all the food groups needed to start the day. I really enjoyed the made-to-order Omelette. It was definitely carefully made with a nice smile. It went well with the salsa. I also loved their Orange Juice with pulp. Love the pulp! The lunch buffet was fantastic. I love the Beef Bourguignon. It reminded me of the Filipino dish Beef Kaldereta, although very different in flavor. I wish I'd taken photos of the breakfast and lunch buffet, but I'm sure I'll come back here for another event maybe.

The status : at the holiday inn hotel . Overall 2/5 stars…read morebeginning with SERVICE / BARTENDER : as amazing as the service was the bartender AND another employee came over and looked as we tried to make a choice . After feeling the pressure and ordering a drink the other employee chimed in that we could also buy a beer . ( not to mention during our stay she asked us to come down for happy hour over 4 times , and my husband is sober living ) so we declined again* .and he ordered a steak med rare and I ordered the wings extra crispy . MEAL / PRICE The steak was chewy and took for ever for me to eat the one bite I stole from my husband, and my wings tasted as if they were sauce first and then air fried . Over cooked and dried out . My husbands steak was NOT med rare there was no signs of life coming from this steak it was made as if the meat was gonna be used for tacos . And it was upwards of 20.00 along with my wings for about 16.00 and without a tip spending 40.00. OVERVIEW / TLTR : if you are hungry spend money on doordash and even if the food comes cold it would still be better, and the same price .

The waffles were pretty good, light, fluffy and covered in fruit. My was just ok. I had to add a lot of hot sauce to add flavor. My husband's omelette was completely missing salt. We had to add salt with each bite it was so bad. This place isn't bad to visit if you don't want your basic hotel breakfast, but I need to try dinner first to make a well rounded decision. If I am back in the area, I will try their dinner.

Nice place to go bowling, watch a sports game, and just hang out. There's a fairly big arcade too…read more There's a small bar in the front and then a bigger sports bar/dining area in the back. Plenty of TVs to watch games. The few bowling alley's in the front are meant for parties. Last time we went bowling, the service was nice. They have QR codes on the tables so that you can order when you're ready and it links to what aisle you're in. You can keep the tab open until you're done. Food was pretty good. The platters were way larger than we thought, but I guess we should've known from the price...Beer is about $10 for 16oz. Depending on if there's games or parties, parking can be harder to find. Overall, I do like this place and I'd rather come here than D&Bs.

Our group had a private area roped off and a plethora of food laid out for a buffet feast. There was salad, chicken kabobs, plates of antipasto, cheese, peppers, hummus, and of course nachos. Everything was delicious, as well as being lovely to look at. In fact, I think it was the first time in my Yelp history that I was so busy eating and having fun that I forgot to take photos! *eyes crossed* The area we were in had pool tables and shuffle board. I think there was pingpong too. I didn't interact much with the servers since it was a buffet and I was there for a function, but we had everything we needed while there. Be prepared for a lot of noise when you go. We had to use a karaoke machine in order to hear our main speaker. Lots of TVs blaring sports, video games and music. It's a great place for families or groups.
