Look at that Carrot Cake!

My wife and I grabbed a quick bite. Erik's Reuben: Pastrami, Swiss, sauerkraut, Erik's Thousand Island, on swirl rye bread. Served warm (4/5). One of my favorites here at Erik's. Flavorful and meaty. The tartness of the sauerkraut with the thousand island dressing was good. Service was friendly and welcoming.

Lovely staff, clean tables. half sandwich a salad for the win for a light and healthier lunch option. Thank you for reusable plates when dining in! I am so appreciative of reducing single-use serve-ware.

Still very good and fresh here. It was a very quiet morning today, so I came back for another delicious soup and sandwich fix. Erik's DeliCafe of Milpitas masters it all. Great customer service, helpful, good foods, cleanliness, and well maintained cafe deli. I had a very good Farmer's Market Sandwich which was filled with more than enough fresh and crunchy veggies for me. Huge portion. The pickle and orange slice is still fresh and good. There's no other place with sweeter orange slices/wedges other than this location. Quick service. Cashier and employees are always super friendly and polite hardworking sandwich makers. My tomato bisque soup was good tasting as usual. It wasn't crowded inside and the mood of the place is still very comfortable with lots of great selections on menu to choose from. Some places are overrated, but Erik's DeliCafe has definitely made a very good mark on my list for years. Casual deli with good foods. Must love. Affordable good eats.

I have passed by this place dozens if not hundreds of times only to come here in the pursuit of healthy food. I ordered two items, the pilgrims progress and tomato soup cup. I was impressed, you got a decent food place offering healthier food options with healthier nutritional value. Sometimes we all just need some quality sandwiches and not the usual.... Places

Erik's Burger (ham, Swiss, gooey sauce, sprouts on an onion bun)

Erik's motto "Sandwiches with character" still holds true. I've been sliding through the Milpitas spot for 30 years and every bite takes me back like a family recipe to when everything was simple. These dayz there's louder flavors, bigger portions, and TikTok influenced sandwich joints everywhere. But sometimes, you just wanna rewind and take it back. The ambiance here brings back that vibe. Front and center: my jam right here is called the classic Erik's Burger with ham, Swiss, that gooey Erik's sauce, sprouts on a warm onion bun. Add the pasta salad, and boom... straight 90s lunchtime nostalgia.

I've been going there for over 35 years but didn't realize it was there still so I've been going back the last 3 years. I love the pilgrim progress, very healthy and good. They give senior citizens discount. It depends who's working there if you're gonna get it automatically.

This place is my oasis all the time. Friendly staffs, calm atmosphere. I love the fresh sandwiches and delicious clam chowder. (half & half)

Met the boyfriend here on his lunch break. We ordered our favorites from the Erik's Deli menu. Sat outside on a warm sunny weekday afternoon. Service was fast -- they brought our sandwiches out. The sandwiches were fresh as always. Produce and meats are of good quality, and the bread never disappoints. Good location. Ample parking.

Hilarious marketing picture. They're measuring it width-wise over length-wise. Also the measuring tape isn't even synced up. LOL!

It's the most average of sandwiches/soups/salads available. Does the job honorably, but that's it. If you're writing home about it but grew up eating sandwiches your entire life, then perhaps you ought to continue to try more tasty foods. Their MO is to put sprouts in their sandwiches. If you have a sweet spot for sprouts, this place may be for you. Service is good, workers are kind, and I really like them. I do like the convenience of ordering through their app and picking it up in a shelf near the quick take-out door. The app is pretty outdated though, but gets the job done. Also, their portion sizes aren't the greatest either. I would consider it on the medium/small size of sandwich offerings in today's world. Maybe in the 70s-80s they would've been above average, but not today. Lastly, their marketing picture on their app for their Big "E" sandwich always cracks me up. They're measuring the sandwich using a measuring tape, but it's width-wise and not length-wise. I understand you can't see the insides as well, but I'm not sure you can get an accurate read doing it that way.

Sorry to ding a local spot but I did not enjoy my sandwich. I ordered the half Pilgrim's Progress on sourdough with cup of clam chowder. The chowder was good but the sandwich was dryyy. Dry bread, dry turkey, not enough goo. One anorexic slice of tomato and barely any onion. I liked the sprouts though. On top of that, my friend ordered a full sandwich but the cashier charged it wrong and gave her a half sandwich so that took some time to clear up. Kindly they quickly made her another half sandwich.

Since my sister and I were in need of lunch I decided on Erik's DeliCafe since it was within the same complex I was currently shopping in. We walked in and placed our order for a chicken gorgonzola salad and a pot belly sandwich. The initial ordering process and making payment was a breeze but there was a delay in receiving our meal. In fact, there were plenty of other patrons awaiting for their meals as well. I'm not sure if the establishment is understaffed or if they just work at a slower pace but I'm thankful that our food was eventually handed off by a friendly gentleman. Food: Hands down, this was one of the freshest salads I've ever had. The greens in the chicken gorgonzola salad were crisp, vibrant, and very tasty. The highlight of this dish were the honey maple walnuts- the sweetness was well balanced with blueberry pomegranate vinaigrette and the added crunch was seriously addicting. The pot belly sandwich was fully loaded when it came to the pastrami and turkey. The sandwich was neat, beautifully made, and tasted amazing. 5/5 stars because our lunch was flawless. The ingredients used were high quality and worth every penny. My only complaint was the dry customer service provided at checkout. Kudos to the friendly guy who handed off our order, the cashier could use a few pointers from him.

Excellent sandwiches! Could be a little more generous with the content, but can't beat the price! Fast and made fresh. Went there to order 5 sandwiches and some soups, once order was taken took about 15 minutes. Entire bill was under $70! And included pickles. Everyone loved their sandwiches and soups. We got Rio Grande, Ceasar Salad Wrap, Raging Bull, tomato basil soup (very hearty & yummy!) Isle of Capri & Chicken pesto sandwiches. We all were full & happy! Perfect choice for quick lunch.

Pilgrim's Progress on sourdough bread
Angelica N.

If you're asking me where to get a sandwich, 9 times out of 10, I'll recommend Erik's DeliCafé. I always go for their famous Pilgrim's Progress on sourdough, and there's just something about the combo of their secret goo and sprouts that makes it unbeatable. It's a hearty meal that leaves me satisfied without feeling overly stuffed or sluggish afterward. You can't go wrong with a sandwich, chips, and soda for lunch that always hits the spot. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that they consistently forget my pickle!

Service was fast and the sandwiches were very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was casual and definitely gave off "mom & pop" vibes, a no frills kind of place. Both sandwiches were very tasty. The bread was a tiny bit soggy by the time we ate our sandwiches (our fault since we didn't eat our sandwiches right away) but still great. They are located in a strip mall, so parking is super convenient. Highly recommend, would love to go back for more.

I went in Wednesday evening to ask about pricing for 100 egg rolls to be picked up Friday at 10:45 AM. The price was reasonable at $175 for 100 pieces. I also asked if the egg rolls could be cut in half. The employee told me no because of how they would look and because the lettuce could become messy. I accepted that and figured we would cut them ourselves. I also tried to get a copy of the receipt, but the employee told me to just take a picture of it instead. I specifically let him know ahead of time that my mom would be picking up the order on Friday. When Friday came, my mom contacted me at work because there was confusion about the pickup date. She was told the order was supposed to be ready the following day, even though I had clearly ordered it for Friday. Another employee apparently told her they could prepare the order in about 20 minutes. This became a bigger issue because the event was scheduled for 11:30 AM, and the order was supposed to be picked up at 10:45 AM specifically to allow enough time to bring everything to the event. Because of the confusion and delay, the food was not ready as planned, which delayed the actual event. As the person hosting the birthday event, it was frustrating and honestly brought down my mood because I was trying to make sure everything went smoothly for everyone. Unfortunately, when my mom picked up the egg rolls, she found that they were crispy on the outside but not fully cooked inside. They also weren't as crispy as expected. It seemed like the order was rushed to get it prepared quickly. To make matters worse, we were not even given any dipping sauce for the egg rolls. For an order of 100 egg rolls costing $175, I would have expected the order to be complete and include the appropriate sauce, especially since I had placed the order in advance for a birthday event. For $175, I expected 100 properly cooked egg rolls, ready at the agreed-upon time, and a complete order. I understand that mistakes and miscommunication can happen, but when you're placing a large order in advance, you expect the order to be ready on the correct day, prepared properly, and ready at the agreed-upon time. The pricing was decent, but the combination of the communication issues, delay, rushed preparation, partially cooked egg rolls, and lack of dipping sauce made the experience very disappointing. I would have much rather waited a little longer for the order to be properly prepared than receive 100 egg rolls that weren't fully cooked and have to deal with missing items afterward. What a way to celebrate my birthday.

However, when I got home I immediately noticed the color and thought they had mistakenly used roast beef. I looked at some of the other reviews and their doordash image and I'm confused on what I got. There's plenty of small tables for two people and some long tables inside. Outside is very basic. Narrow space. Not huge. I went for the coconut matcha cloud beverage. It's more like very light matcha taste with jelly in it. I didn't taste coconut in mine. Perhaps I was thinking about the cloud beverages at other places that are more cloudy white blue and green in colors. Overall, it was still hydrating and the size is good value.
