Got the new big city pastrami egg sandwich on a six cheese bagel (instead of everything bagel) with two eggs. There was no line to order on a Sunday morning, and it took just a few minutes wait for my sandwich to be ready. The pastrami was a tad salty and didn't really stand out in any way, but the sandwich as a whole was delicious and filling, with a thick layer of scrambled eggs and yummy melted swiss on a cheesy bagel. The garlic aioli went well with the other ingredients too. Even though I took my order to go, the place had a good amount of seating inside and easy parking right out front.

Simple decor ; has nyc 80s feel Bagel is above average. Ingredients fresh & cooked to order. Friendly counter service. Had my free annual birthday bagel today. Ordered an OJ... priced cheaper than water. See receipt.

Where's the Pastrami...Does Not look as Advertise! Over $10 for this! NEW! Big City Pastrami Egg

WHERE'S the Pastrami! False advertisement. Doesnt look anything like Ad! Paid over $10 for this...

Came here b/c I was craving a lox bagel but I come to find out they're completely out of salmon which was a huge bummer. Decided to try one of their bagel sandwiches. Specifically requested for toasted bagels for my order and it wasn't fulfilled which ruined the taste of the bagel sandwich. I didn't realize until I got home unfortunately. But reading from other reviews, this is a common occurrence. Also, note to keep in mind, their prefilled cups of orange juice is not freshly squeezed orange juice. It's Minute Maid concentrate with water. If I had known this, I would've just bought the bottled OJ. Usually I'm a fan of this franchise but just not this location.

GM Manager counts t that her team tried to lie over the phone saying it's her!!!

If there's a negative star I'd definitely put that!!! Today 6/15 I walk into store around 10am requesting a bagel box (10asiago) the guy cashier refused my request because they don't have enough to fulfill my order. (Over 20pieces) on display. I was so upset request they get a Store Manager approve on if they can or can't give me my 10bagel flavor I chose. Mallory on the phone & said she will contact me tomorrow but didn't give a clear answer if they could of couldn't? I was told after 9am they DO not sell bagel boxes due to inventory of bagels? How the heck do you stay open from 10-2 with no bagels to service the public? There was a rack on the side of variety of bagels!!! Nothing in writing states NO bagel box after 9am!!' I've been a customer of Noah's for the past 16yrs & now with this experience I'll take my business elsewhere.

Cinnamon Raisin bagel with plain shmear
Lon H.

Been back a few times when my wife and I are craving a bagel. It's fairly close to our house and they typically have a decent assortment of bagels to choose from when I go in the morning. They were out of blueberry bagels, so I ordered a cinnamon raisin with plain shmear and a plain bagel with onion and chive shmear. I asked them to toast both bagels, but these were barely toasted. It's almost like they didn't run them through the toaster. However, I didn't realize this till I got home, so I'll have to keep an eye on that for future visits. They put a good amount of shmear in the bagels, which I really like. Service is typically sound and the staff are friendly.

If you close by 1.50 pm on a Sunday then you should make your timings should say till 1.50 pm and not 2 pm . Worst customer experience . Not once they close early than 2 pm always.

No lines and no crowds on a rainy day morning with plenty of available parking spots in the huge lot. Nothing attractive on the outside in this old popular plaza. The place turned out great with the old fashioned retro red color style interior and the experience was wonderful. Good vibes and positive feelings when walking into it. My lady server provided excellent service and the Hispanic male worker was quick and efficient. Place is clean and menu had good variety of selections. Breakfast is served all day while lunch items start at 11am. My breakfast was very fulfilling and total was $25.30 with everything included. I paid in cash and tipped them $5. Loved my sweet lady server. There was another older woman at the cash register. She's a local as well. I really enjoyed the stop. I had the Fajitas Omelette breakfast and the steak meats in it were very generous. Delicious breakfast exactly as I had expected. My onions green peppers potatoes were perfect with a side of salsa. Sourdough toast was delicious with the garlic butter taste. I really came for my favorite hot chocolate with whipped cream in the morning. I do miss big American breakfasts, especially in these old fashioned and traditional retro spots. Love it. Why didn't I visit this place much earlier? Because they're always busy or full inside and the plaza parking is usually congested with heavy traffic here. Overall, I love the vibes and the service. It's one of those places where you can just have normal casual conversations with the staffs working inside if you are open to it. Beautiful diner. Yes, I will be revisiting in the future. If you love huge food portions, there's great value here. One plate can easily be shared between two people. Nice.

We moved to Milpitas about a year ago and my son started going to Mil's and is a current 'Regular'. They have good food. So after a while, my husband and I started going there and we too started going there pretty regularly for breakfast, at least once or twice a week. All in all, between the family we drop a few hundred a week. And we do tip well. Most of the wait staff knows us. Today, my husband had to stop on his way home to use the restroom. He doesn't look homeless or unkempt in anyway. When he asked, they told him he couldn't unless he's a 'paying customer'. This was to a newer employee he hadnt seen before. He proceeded to explain that we eat here regularly and she still said no. He asked to speak to the manager, who does know him. He too said no. I find it ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS that for a supposed family atmosphere restaurant, they couldn't extend a small courtesy. What exactly was it going to take away from them? As mentioned, we drop a good chunk of change there, and they didnt want to help out a patron that frequents the restaurant? Well, have no fear, we will NEVER darken your doorstep EVER again.

Since every drink is freshly brewed to order, I decided to give it a try--and I was completely blown away. The jasmine tea was incredibly rich and flavorful, perfectly balanced with the creamy A2 milk. As someone who's extremely picky about boba tea, I have to say they got everything exactly right. So many places make their jasmine tea taste overly floral or perfume-like, but here the flavor was delicate, smooth, and just the right intensity. And let's talk about the boba--it was cooked perfectly! Soft, fresh, and delightfully chewy, exactly how boba should be. Beyond the drinks, the atmosphere is absolutely charming. The décor is beautiful, warm, and thoughtfully designed. It feels like stepping into a little fairyland rather than a typical grab-your-drink-and-go boba shop. Every detail--from the chairs and tables to the decorations--comes together to create an elegant, high-end experience that makes you want to stay and relax. The prices are very reasonable for the quality you receive. I also want to give a special shout-out to Lynda, who was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and happy to answer all of my questions and concerns. I wholeheartedly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back. If you appreciate high-quality tea made with care and attention to detail, Latthe Roast & Toast is absolutely worth a visit!

I've been frequenting this restaurant for about 3 years. I almost always have the same server,…read moreMiriam. She's outstanding and always helps me with my every-time request - make it spicy! It started with the barbacoa chilaquiles. When I saw that that the chilaquiles in the menu had habaneros on it, I knew I had found my place. I often cook at home with ghost and scorpion peppers, which are not traditionally found in restaurants, but they've done some pretty amazing improvisation when I've asked to make it work. One time, I recall getting the chilaquiles and asking for extra habaneros and asking if their chef had a secret hot sauce that was stronger than "white people spicy." Miriam brought me a little ramekin of a pepper sauce puree that the chef prepared - and it was EPIC. I don't ask for that every time, but you know whoever was on the line took the request seriously and actually had some fun making my mouth burn. I can't tell you how appreciative I am of their willingness to "play" in the kitchen. Today, I went for breakfast and ordered the Carne En Su Jugo for my first time. Not just here - first time ever eating it anywhere. I had totally forgotten to ask them to make it spicy! I asked Miriam if there was anything they could do to spice it up. She assured me they could. Then I received it. And I tasted it. And it was cathartic. The chefs prepared a PERFECTLY spicy stew, and I downed that whole thing in 7 minutes. It was delicious, put some sweat on my brow, and left me feeling more than satisfied with my meal. I love this place! Miriam is always great every time I've been there. I will continue supporting this business as long as they keep doing business. Please give my compliments to the chefs again. Their creativity keeps me coming back for spicy treats!

Bonus points for having fun seasonal choices. The kids menu has good options but it is kinda pricey for being the kids menu. Bonus points because they use handmade tortillas for the kids taco. They also offer unique things like a breakfast molcajete and a mini birria pambazo. We didn't try those but it sounded intriguing. Also so many drink choices if you're looking for a michelada or mimosa. Cute vibes inside & love the plates and ceramics they use. It is small though so wouldn't really accommodate a large group easily, especially if it's busy. There is parking but even though it wasn't busy it was hard to find a spot. All that said, it was a very mid experience. The meat for the kids birria and the chilaquiles was more on the dry side. Same for the rice. The Grinch milkshake was good and cute. The tamarindo mimosa was good after we asked for extra tamarindo. Initially it was very heavy on the champagne. The country potatoes were yummy. The gingerbread pancakes were also dry & didn't taste like gingerbread. Also was sad that they were out of the advertised Holiday drinks: chocolate abuelita and atole de mazapán. I ordered the hot chocolate in its place but even though it looked cute, it tasted watery. I came here specifically for the Holiday items so that's why I was so disappointed with that. Service was okay. Our server was friendly when we interacted with her but it was very limited. Pretty much when she took our order & then when I flagged her down to return my pancakes & hot chocolate. She was very understanding though about that so I appreciated that. Overall, if they made adjustments to their flavor & quality it could be really good. From this visit I would say their Mexican food is better than their American food. I'd try again in the future, just not any time soon.

It's almost like walking into a thrift shop that has random things going on from hundreds of photos of Kenny with customers, US flags, a table full of military business cards, Mercedes Benz trinkets, etc etc. Please be informed that Kenny is THE only person in here which means, he's the greeter, the cook, the cashier, and entertainer lol. The food can take long for a reason and there's no music or TV anywhere so it's quiet. The furniture is random as well; some from an office space, elementary school, and an all wooden table with chairs from someone's grandma's house. Me and my co workers ordered 2 burritos: Regular steak and eggs and a steak bulgogi. We waited maybe 15 mins for our which wasn't too long. The burritos had this soft white cheese melted on top which gave the tortilla this vanilla sweetness. I didn't really like that. The steak meat was sweet but didn't have that bulgogi marinade taste. Both of our burritos tasted like a plain egg, potato, and blank steak breakfast burrito. It was nothing special but the size is huge and one can be shared by two people. The burritos came with this sweet chipotle sauce with some sweet peppers in which it did add some flavor. Kenny is the man though! He's super nice and proud. He's very entertaining and enjoys talking to his guests. His son is in the army so it's one of the reasons why he's very patriotic. Is it a bit much?! Sure, but this cafe wouldn't be what it is without all of this randomness. It's a neighborhood gem and a historic landmark in this side of town. Kenny is well known to the area and is beloved. We enjoyed his company. Thank you so much Kenny!!

I love having breakfast at Bill's Cafe. Unfortunately, this location is not the same experience as the two other locations I've tried. The hostess told us they had no tables, and we could sit at the bar. My daughter stated she would rather be seated at a table, and we could wait. Three customers were walking past us, and the hostess said we could have their table. We were immediately seated in a booth, and we noticed there were at least five empty tables around us, peculiar. Whatever, we had time to look and decide what we each wanted. When our waiter came for our orders, he was quick and efficient. We didn't have to wait long for our meals and drinks to arrive. We generally liked our food, but the country potatoes were a little too firm, and seemed like they weren't cooked all the way through. We had to wait awhile for refills on our drinks. We caught the hostess walking by, and asked if we could get refills and napkins. She said okay, but brought only napkins, and we waited some more for refills on coffee and water. The hostess seemed a bit brusque, on the other hand our waiter was, quick and professional. I will drive a little further to the Alameda location, because the Newbury location is not as great, or team conscious as the other location.
