I got takeout from this Bill's Cafe twice so far, and they were all great experiences. It's always so busy with lots of people waiting outside and inside the restaurant. The staff is friendly and helpful. Parking seems to be street parking only, I think. This past Sunday we got breakfast burritos, biscuit & gravy, kids pancakes, and peach mango mimosa. Everything was very tasty & scrumptious! Maybe one day we'll come dine here, but I definitely enjoying getting takeout because it's faster. Lol read more

I took my family out to breakfast this morning, and usually frequent the Alameda location, but my son made me aware the Newbury location is closer to us. I love having breakfast at Bill's Cafe. Unfortunately, this location is not the same experience as the two other locations I've tried. The hostess told us they had no tables, and we could sit at the bar. My daughter stated she would rather be seated at a table, and we could wait. Three customers were walking past us, and the hostess said we could have their table. We were immediately seated in a booth, and we noticed there were at least five empty tables around us, peculiar. Whatever, we had time to look and decide what we each wanted. When our waiter came for our orders, he was quick and efficient. We didn't have to wait long for our meals and drinks to arrive. We generally liked our food, but the country potatoes were a little too firm, and seemed like they weren't cooked all the way through. We had to wait awhile for refills on our drinks. We caught the hostess walking by, and asked if we could get refills and napkins. She said okay, but brought only napkins, and we waited some more for refills on coffee and water. The hostess seemed a bit brusque, on the other hand our waiter was, quick and professional. I will drive a little further to the Alameda location, because the Newbury location is not as great, or team conscious as the other location. read more

We come to this location a lot, it is under some apartment buildings and you can find the parking under neath the apartments or on side streets. My boyfriend loves the steak and eggs and they give you a pretty big size steak here which is nice! I tried their seasonal omelette which was described as 4 eggs with ham, chicken, and cheese with hollondaise sauce on top. The hash browns were crispy on the outside but not cooked in the center. They offered to redo them but at that point, I was full and I still had a pancake to eat. I like the gesture though. I called to make reservations. They said they do but I have to go on their website. I couldn't find it anywhere. I called back. They directed me to "Post" or "Toast" and said it's on Google or to look again on the website. Nothing. So I called back a 3rd time. At this point, I gave up. The pancakes were massive and the bread pudding French toast was top tier. If you're feeling a little extra, the menu has a fun mix of American and Southern fusion. The atmosphere is lively and time flies when you're there. It can get a bit noisy at times. The only downside for me were the hash browns. The eating area has counter seating and it's very clean. We arrived about 10 am and we're seated right away. Nice variety of meals and some had a special twist to them.
