It's nice to see this restaurant doing well, since they do a nice job, whether you decide to dine-in or take your food to go. Service is always friendly and quick. I like that they bus tables often to allow customers places to sit. You should leave fulfilled, since they don't skimp on portions. The pitas are stuffed more than most gyro restaurants in the area. You also can't go wrong whether you order their Gyro or Chicken Souvlaki. Their half Lemon Chicken is also really good. On this trip, I enjoyed the Chicken Souvlaki Plate, which comes with awesome Chicken Souvlaki, Pita and Tzatziki sauce with a choice of two sides. I have been coming to Mikonos Grill for almost 15 years. The service is always warm and fast. Their kitchen is always humming with activity during the dinner hour. The food is remarkably consistent and very good. I have always enjoyed their lamb and the sauce they put on their chicken skewers is delicious. Another standout is their rice. It is perfectly seasoned and a great compliment to the meat. The restaurant is always clean and bright. Parking is easy, and the restrooms are very clean. I wanted a Gyro sooooo bad so I went onto DoorDash (bc I was at work and couldn't leave my site), and found Mikonos Grill. I was skeptical at first but the photos and reviews on the app gave me the push I needed. OMG FAM!!! When I tell you this thing was HUGE! I couldn't finish it and had to finish it at home. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful, meat seasoned to perfection. I think I may order some for lunch again today bc just remembering I'm making my mouth water. This restaurant has been around ever since I was a kid and typically, I would get the Chicken Souvlaki Plate, which is packed with rice, fries, chicken, and comes with pita and tzatziki sauce. This is a good deal in itself. However, I ordered their salmon gyro as it's currently Lent, and for $~16 with tax, it is absolutely packed with salmon. I did not expect the amount of salmon that was loaded on the pita. It was very filling and flavorful and I'd definitely get this again. Only qualms I got with this is that it was pretty hard to eat as the pita was soggy and didn't hold itself. That doesn't really matter though because I still ate it up. This was a surpise stop while in Milpitas! You walk into the dinning room and instantly see the pictures decorating the walls of Greece. Reminded us of our trip out there. There were several tables to eat in at or you can take your food home. The service was on point and were quick to take our order at the counter. We sat our selves and the food came out quickly. We ordered the Chicken Gyro plate. There was a lot of food and we were glad to share the plate. The salad was fresh and crisp with just the right amount of dressing. The french fries were crispy, hot and seasoned well. The Gyro was huge! There was ample chicken in the bread and a good amount of veggies and dressing. They have a nice hot sauce that added more flavor and heat to the meal. The prices are fairly steep for the food, but that is to be expected in the Bay Area. The parking lot is small and narrow in the plaza. The restaurant was quite big inside. Older looking layout with a large printed menu behind the cashier. Dark wooden tables and chairs. The cashier took orders quickly and was friendly. I got the super gyro plate with sides of salad and soup, a fish and chips plate with side of more fries and salad, and an order of 5 pieces of falafel. Every plate order gets a choice of two sides, and asking for a side of fries to go with the fish and chips seemed to have confused the cashier. I ordered more fries to share with the table. In the end it didn't look like the side of fries were added. I didn't bother asking for the side, there was already so much food. The salad was good, the soup was basically another dish, and the falafel were so crunchy crispy. The super gyro was super big. The meat filling was ok because it was on the dry side. To start off, the dish was amazing! It took around 6-8 minutes to come out and was served to our table.
