Task is a Sacramento-based professional organizing and move-management company helping people create calm, functional spaces in every season of life. Whether you’re downsizing, moving, settling into a new home, or simply trying to regain control of your space, Task brings structure, clarity, and compassionate support to what can often feel overwhelming.
History
Established in 2015.
Task was founded by two friends, Wendy Minervini and Amy Klee, who saw how deeply our physical environments affect our emotional and mental well-being. What began as a small organizing practice grew into a trusted company known for meeting clients where they are, offering practical systems, and treating every home and every story with respect.
Their vision built the foundation that Task stands on today. In 2025, Wendy and Amy chose to retire from the business, turning their focus toward family, travel, and the next chapter of their lives. With their support, Task entered a new phase of leadership — one that carries their original vision forward while continuing to serve clients with the same care and integrity they established.
Meet the Business Owner: Lisa H.
Task is owned and led by Lisa Hershey, whose background in public health, psychology, and wellness shapes the way she approaches every home and every client. Through decades of high-intensity leadership, Lisa came to deeply understand both the power of strong organization and the reality of burnout. In 2022, she chose to step away from traditional career structures and realign her life with her values. She downsized her family home, let go of decades of belongings, and experienced firsthand how profoundly organizing and simplifying can restore clarity, energy, and peace. That experience led Lisa to become a Certified Professional Organizer through the American Society of Professional Organizers, and ultimately to take the helm of Task. Under Lisa’s leadership, Task now serves clients exclusively in the Sacramento region, allowing the company to remain personal, hands-on, and deeply connected to the community.
