I bought my Ford Edge here back in 2015 (new). All of the staff I've ever dealt with here are courteous and helpful. I love the look of their new dealership and I come here for my oil changes and quick lane services so I cannot comment about anything else. My past two oil changes I have asked for the full service (where they rotate your tires, etc.). I travel a lot so I want to make sure everything is good to go. Both times they had told me that I didn't need the rotation (the tire were pretty new) and therefore didn't charge me the more expensive rate. A lot of places will just do what you ask and charge you accordingly. I was impressed that they actually told me I DIDN'T need something!! I was recently here for an inspection and I needed a rear wiper in order for it to pass, which is fine. I never replaced it since I owned the vehicle. I was also told I would need rear brakes in the near future, which is understandable since I travel so much and have not had brakes installed since I bought the SUV. They gave me an estimate of what they would cost and explained why. I do want to note that I have almost 80,000 miles on my 2015 Edge and with regular maintenance (basically just oil changes) have had no major problems. I owned a 2012 Ford Focus (bought new) before this that I also had no major issues with. I know Ford has had a bad name, but after owning the two Ford vehicles as stated above, I would definitely buy another. read more

I would never recommend this dealership to anyone! This is not our first time buying a car and I have never had such a bad experience. Please do not waste your time like we did and go somewhere else. They gave us the run around for over a week. We left 3 messages for the manager to call us back and he could not bother. When we went to Tasca and spoke to Eric the Sales mgr and explained the frustration that we just wanted to buy a car, he could care less!! He did not care at all and would rather watch us walk out of the dealership. Never said what can i do to make it right? When we walked out another couple said we are leaving too and going to another dealer! Never again! Since Tasca took over, this place has gone downhill. Ridiculous wait times in the Quick Lane! I have my car for a year and a half and take it for service routinely. It was brand new and my first service they told me I needed brakes! Paperwork put brake pads at 4mm. I refused as I only had 5,000 miles. Lo and behold, next time I went they were at 8 and 9mm. I only go there because of the 3yr/36,000 mile warranty. My car was first in line to be serviced upon opening. I came in for the works and the tech offered an inspection as well since it was up in July. I wish I never accepted. I was there for over THREE hours and told my car would not pass inspection because the wiper streaked. Never again will I have an inspection done there.Who buys wipers at a dealer? The price is double! I was so annoyed that I had to. I did not receive a copy of the multi point inspection sheet or the work that was done. I have no idea about the mm on my brake pads I only received a bill.I forgot to check for the other paper because I could not wait to leave after sitting there that long and I was so annoyed. Very Disappointed in this dealership. We Love Ford but will never buy from them again. They sold us a vehicle that we found out this past summer had been previously in an accident. They didn't disclose that to us at all. They sold us the clear coat to ensure the paint wouldn't chip, guess what? Yep, the paint is chipping. (I thought in PA they had to tell you if a vehicle has previously been in an accident, apparently, it's not required.) Lesson learned, always ask for Car Facts. Where do I begin? Brought my daughter's 2017 Escape here for a new battery and a radio reset due to power loss. The battery in the car was the original and on this cold morning the car was dead as a door nail. Jumped it and brought it here. Few hours later I get the call to pick up the car. The bill shows a new battery plus labor $303. A fair price. When I got in the car the radio was not reset. Long story but it gets better...They never put a battery in but charged me to buy and install a new one. Let me say that one more time.....charged me to purchase and install a battery but never did. After discovering this upon pick up they took the car back inside to install the new battery I had already paid for. I was given a Ford Mug and $100 points towards future service for my troubles. Maybe I'll use those credits to come back for an oil change but get no oil? Buyer beware. This used to be a locally owned family business. It's clearly not the same as before. My name is Gibbons. This dealer operates unethically and uses misrepresentation to manipulate and lie to the customer to purchase a vehicle. This is fraudulent and illegal and called common law fraud where the dealer made a false representation of a past or present material fact. Both the sales manager and general sales manager, along with finance purposely lied to me to get me to buy a vehicle. Days later when the truth was revealed, they state the truck is mine and nothing can be done. I took delivery of the truck with damage to the drivers side rear door glass. After almost walking out of the dealership and refusing to purchase, both manager stated they have a certified technician who has done over 1000 of the F-150 glass replacements and I would never know the repair was done. 6 days later, I drove two hours round trip on my own dime and took vacation time to have repair fixed. While there, I watched Paul, the glass installer, struggle with the glass replacement. After over two hours later when Paul pulled the truck around back, I inspected the truck to find damage to both front and rear door panels, paint scratched down to the metal, A-pillar scratched badly, and door sills scratched. I asked Paul if he was indeed a certified tech with over 1000 Ford F-150 glass replacements, and to my dismay, he stated he is not a certified technician, doesn't work for Ford, and more disturbingly had NEVER replaced the glass in a 2024 Ford F-150. It was then I realized Tony (general sales manager) and Andy (sales manager) had lied to me and used misrepresentation to bait and switch to get me to buy the truck. Frankly, they lied and were unethical and I had been deceived. To not have a conscious and purposely lie via misrepresentation is illegal and it's unfortunate to think about how many people they are taking advantage of, with disregard to how the fraud will negatively effect the customer. This dealership needs investigated and I will not stop until they are held accountable. read more

Why do you advertise a "Quick Lane"? I bought my truck back in 2020 and have used your services because of the service credit dollars that I got with the truck. I have put up with long waits to get regular, routine service. I have no incentive to bring my truck in to your service department now. I have tried to make appointments and was told "we no longer take appointments for oil changes" and "all you have to do is bring it into the quick lane." Today, I go to the quick lane, am overjoyed that there aren't any cars waiting there, go in, only to be told "you'll be here until we close" (which is 2 hours later). I guess your definition of "quick" is much different than the rest of the world. read more

I tried to order a battery for my f150 on the ford web site to be delivered directly to Tasca for $150. They were on back order. They said to call the dealer. I called the dealer and they wanted $226 for the same battery. Sounds like a price gouge. read more

I really expected more from a dealership. My step mom had a great experience buying a NEW car. I had the opposite with my USED car. The day I brought it home I could tell the brakes were not working properly and there was an odd smell when I get out after parking. I brought it back immediately and they did fix it free of charge and Mark p hooked me up with a 2025 bronco as there were no loaners. I was working off of 3 brakes instead of 4 and there was something else wrong to do with my brakes. All I was told should have been caught during their "thorough" inspection required for every vehicle. I had to take off work for this to be fixed. A week or 2 later 2 tire pressure sensors were not functioning. I had to take off work again and they did fix it free of charge as I only had the car 3 weeks. Service did however try to charge me and if i hadnt advocated for myself and make then look more into everything i would have paid. I complained from day 1 of a delay I'm acceleration but was blown off.​ 4 months later my engine light is on and it's really not accelerating. I called taryn the women who sold me this car but she just blew me off. It was clear she had no interest in helping me after getting the sale completed. I also reached out to one of the sales managers mark p since he'd been about the only helpful person, but he hasn't even responded. This is my first big purchase. Took a loan out, stuck with 4 years worth of monthly payments on a car that's been issue after issue. I should be enjoying my new (used) car but instead I have to worry what might go wrong next and how much this engine work is going to cost me. I'm pretty disgusted and won't ever purchase from them in the future. read more

If I could give them more stars I would. First of all Donnie, my sales agent is excellent. He got me the car of my dreams and checks in now and then...refreshing. Now Jason, the Service Advisor is incredible. Because the repair was going to take about 6 hours (and I didn't want to really be sitting around all that time) arranged a ride home which was 45 minutes away. They will also pick me up and bring me back to pick up my car. Vinny, the driver was very easy to ride with. He's an extremely careful driver. An additional charge for a filter cap was added, telling me my dealer screwed out in too tight and it broke! What BS! Will never go there again!! read more

on TCM. Part backordered, that's fine. Asked for a loaner and was told they don't offer that anymore for warranty coverage. Called Ford Customer Service and was told that was not true. Back and forth I have been told multiple stories about only having 3 loaners, not having loaners, loaner list, no loaner list, they are always loaned out, etc. Frustrated from Matt's misinformation and the dealers lack of answering phones, I went to look for myself. Easily found 6 loaners sitting on the lot for multiple days, not moved or driven. (Have photos) I have spoke with employees at your business and was told this is prior practice. They let loaner cars sit on the lot when ford customers desperately need transportation. I wish Ford stood behind their warranty coverage that details rental coverage or allows me to be reimbursed for an enterprise rental (who has rentals available). This repair is beyond my control and I have zero options. If my car didn't have a faulty transmission and would start I would take it to a different ford dealership. Hopefully you find staff who are honest with customers and stand by the products they sell. Please don't ask me to call the Service Manager at my earliest convenience because he does not answer the phone, I have tried and Ford Customer Service has tried. read more

Went to trade my Subaru in for a certified car to get out from under payments. Due to pandemic did a lot of emails back and forth, and research on trade in and purchase. I specified before appt no games, and I was ready to purchase. Offered ridiculous trade in, not willing to compromise, pretty uninterested in doing business. We left. 2 days later, offered me another deal. Ummmm same pricing? Mysterious fees and charges? Could care less about selling you a car. When I say you get one shot, I mean it. Came in for a tire repair due to a nail on one of my tires. Instead, they told me it was unrepairable and that I needed a new tire. Not only that, they told me I need all 4 new tires. Except I only have 14,000 miles on my car-- only use it to drive from home and to work. I took my car to a small garage (Express Lane in Scranton) and they repaired my tire for only $15 and said absolutely no way do I need to get 4 new tires! they saved me a bunch of money and I do not recommend this place unless you want to get scammed. It's a shame because the people were friendly and I thought I could trust them with what my car needed but turns out they just try to unreasonably over charge you. read more

Took my car in to get fixed and they kept it for 2 weeks and, i kid you not, they told me straight up that my car "was not a priority". 2 1/2 weeks ago, my transmission light came on in my SUV in the way home from work. I called the dealership, the lady in the phone ( who conveniently did not tell me her name) told me I can bring it up on Saturday (8/14). I tookit up and the guy told me they are too backed up to look at it. They will when they have time. They would not give me a loaner. The suv is a 2019 and still under warranty. So here we are 8/31. No one has called about it, even to say they didn't get to it yet. I have called 3 times and left 3 messages on the service dept's vm, all with no return call. This is a great way to treat a customer. My family has bought 8 vehicles from there. My lease is up in May and I will NOT be purchasing my next vehicle at #gibbonsford. read more

My car broke down in the middle of a rain storm at night. We were lucky enough to be towed to Gibbons Ford. We arrived just 10 minutes before closing yet they welcomed us and took great care of us. They gave us a ride to our hotel. They brought us back the next day. First thing the next morning they secured the part we needed and worked on my car promptly to get us safely back on our way. Started off by calling around 9:30 and bringing my truck in at 10:30. When I dropped it off I explained what needed to be done to the person who assisted me. I was told to talk to the person standing next to me who was standing waiting with her clip board. I looked at her and said do I need to tell you again and she said yes so I repeated myself. I was told the truck would be ready in an hour. I then got a call an hour later by another person who told me they found what the truck needed. I explained that I knew that and that's what I told the person when I dropped it off. She said oh, ok they are working on it and will call you when done. An hour later I figure I'll go there and wait. When I get there I find my truck sitting outside. I go in and am redirected to the original clipboard girl who tells me I'll have to wait cause she was at lunch and now she has to do paperwork so o should go have a seat. I said no I'll just stand here and she said fine. She finished and handed it off to someone else. I would have given 5 stars if the person the checked me in and out hadn't had such an attitude. I have read some of the reviews tonight and I have to disagree with all the negative comments, I bought a 2013 Ford Escape and since then I have had a couple of very small issues and had to take the car back, and each time the service department was not only helpful but went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. I went for an oil change at the "quick lane" 1 hour and 20 minutes later, my vehicle was taken in. yes they were sorta busy but no way 80 mins busy. You pay more for quick service but you don't get it. Secondly after the multiple point checkup, my transmission fluid was completely empty eventhough it was checked according to the list. This review is based on their service department... I had the unfortunate experience of a pseudo-lemon. Pseudo in that my problems occurred shortly after one can still qualify under the lemon law. I spent quite a bit of time dealing with the folks here at Gibbons Ford. The bottom line is that if you are looking to be treated as a respected customer, avoid coming here. The office staff does not explain what the problem is at an appropriate level and when you ask for them to explain the workings of your vehicles issue you are met with attitude and frustration. The quality of the work performed here is also sub-standard, and that is coming from a different Ford dealer located in my home state. Massive oversights that necessitated a rebuilding of my vehicles transmission. They ignored my requests to replace seats that fell under a Ford Technical Service Bulletin, the list goes on. Silly, but I consider relevant mention... they advertise free wifi in the waiting area, and they are correct, however, it is password protected and when the desk staff was asked for this password, the three gentlemen did not know it and I was informed of this with a similar attitude mentioned earlier in this review. I have had multiple other issues with this dealership with my girlfriends vehicle. Bottom line, avoid it if at all possible. It's tough to do when you need your vehicle towed for warranty work. Worst place ever, they could care less about you or doing far or upstanding business with you. I bought a truck there, been back to buy other vehicles because it's close. But each time I've been treated like crap. So has my wife as well, we now drive to Coccia Ford which is far far better service and business. Gibbons cares about ripping you off and giving you crap service and management could care less, they actually laugh at you and then turn it to you as it was your fault not them. Salesman have talked down to us, told us we have no clue and far worse. After posting this gibbons called me and responded by rectifying the issues I had by fixing a tier issue with my truck. That said I am glad they responded and took the right action to, fix the issue, I have seen that their service department has been much more thoughtful as far as the sales side I don't know about that or what action they have taken. But they did make this situation right by correcting the tier issue by putting on new tiers for me. read more

Took my car there in June for my inspection. This car has had 0 problems up to this point. Since then it has been nothing BUT problems. It took 4 hours for an inspection, they charged me over $500 for work (that another mechanic later told me was unnecessary) and I left with a hole in the flex pipe that wasn't there before and the right side traction control screwed up. Ended up having to have another mechanic fix all the problems that Gibbons caused and cost me another couple hundred dollars. Never again. read more

Horrific service department. They push Quick Lane for most service so no appointments and lots of waiting. Then both the customer and vehicle are treated horribly. In all fairness the sales experience is great. Too bad this does not even come close to transferring to an unbelievably awful service experience. I now take my new F150 to Coccia Ford for service. Thought I would give this place a try with what I though would be a simple fix for a dealership. I wanted to get two tire stems replaced, thought the quick lane would be quick and easy. Arrived at 6:45am as they open at 7am. Thought I'd drop it off and pick it up in a few hours, no big deal. Called at noon - hadn't been pulled in yet! They said they would call when done - another hour. I called at 5:30 because I had heard nothing. Got voicemail. They called back at 6:15 - car not done. Service closed. Did you know each ford dealership has nothing to answer to ford corporate? Ford corporate said each dealership sets own rules and policies. I purchased a Navigator that I have wanted for years and they got me the terms, including a great extended warranty, that fit my needs and budget. My vehicle was towed there Sunday and it is still sitting and no one will even look at it. told me I was number 7, then number 8 and today they told me I'm number 9 in line.
