Dear Subaru, As my wife Bonnie and I contemplated our future move to the Phoenix area, we knew we wanted a new Forester Touring in order to enjoy our ride across the country. We are, however, saddened by the fact that we will no longer have the comfort of dealing with Minooka Subaru when we buy our cars and bring them in for service. Our most recent experience at Minooka Subaru brought us into contact with Sales Rep Chris Corbett. We were pleased, but not surprised, when Chris treated as if we were old friends. He answered all of our questions and addressed all of our concerns. He worked with and for us to create the best deal possible, so that when we were out the door we had a new friend that helped us and made us feel as though we got a great deal. The safety of a Subaru, particularly a Forester, gives me peace of mind. With the Touring Edition, we got a car that has many creature comforts - some of which were unfamiliar to us. That said, Jim Corbett walked us through how to use all of the bells and whistles this car has to offer. We are old and he listened to all of our questions and answered in a way we could understand. He made sure we knew how to optimize the use of our new car and gave us his undivided attention. Jim made us feel like we had another new friend making us feel like family. We were then directed to an office where we met Trish Corbett. She walked us through the credit and financing process, quickly, thoroughly, and as painlessly as possible. Trish also was a delight to work with in spite of working with a new, not yet mastered computer application. I highly recommend everyone I know to, not just get a Subaru but get a Minooka Subaru and become part of the their family, with no requirement to change your last name to Corbett. I have been to Minooka several times. My entire family has purchased vehicles from there and I have had nothing but poor experiences since moving back to PA from TX. I initially wanted to purchase a crosstrek and the sales man was rude and spoke to me as if I knew nothing about vehicles. I went in for service once after shopping and when I got my car back, the undergarments I purchased were spread throughout the car. I complained and they said it couldn't have been the guys that worked on the car (who else was allowed in my car while they were working on it?). Today, I called for service on a vehicle that was purchased at another dealership and they were again rude, annoyed that it was purchased elsewhere, and do not offer Saturday appointments. Needless to say, I scheduled at Wyoming Valley for a Saturday and they were kind and accommodating! Please note, we also did not buy the car from the Wyoming Valley dealership. read more

Great experience. Fast and easy to buy a car. Mike was up front about all the fees and they were right in line with other dealers we went to, but I liked that they're a family run business and they don't play games. They don't add any fees or try to nickle and dime us. They even traded another dealer for the color and options I wanted. Then didn't miss a beat when I saw a different color that I really liked. They just went and found another car. No complaints, no attitude, they just went out and got me what I wanted. It had been almost seven years since I purchased a car. I was dreading having to work with a stereotypical car salesman, one who just wanted to take advantage of me to make a quick buck and try to sell me unnecessary up charges. Enter Minooka Subaru. I came in guarded, but was needing to purchase a car. My salesman Mike was friendly and put me at ease. He answered all of my wife and I's questions and took his time. When he found out that we were new to the area he recommended some great restaurants, and fun places to take our kids. Mike was absolutely phenomenal and I wish more salesmen were like him. Next came financing. I worked with Clare. When the interest rates came back higher than I expected, we realized that since I just moved, my credit had been run several times for services-cable, electric, rent, etc. Clare called the lending company personally and explained my situation to them, which got me a better rate. While working with Clare, Mike checked in and made sure we didn't need anything. He brought us bottled waters and even got snacks for my kids. I actually enjoyed purchasing my vehicle, which is not something that I expected. Minooka is a family owned dealership that treats their customers like family. I felt like I was working with old friends instead of worki g with car salesmen. Here's the other thing to know. There are a couple of other dealerships that sell Subaru besides Minooka. However, Minooka truly knows their Subaru like the back of their hands. They Only sell Subaru and have ONLY been selling Subaru for over 30 years. They are not pushy and treat every single person that walks through their door like family. I'm SO happy that I bought my Subaru at Minooka. While I won't be needing another car anytime soon, I will certainly be going to Minooka for my future Subaru needs. read more
