Update: I demanded a 2pm pick-up of my vehicle, and surprisingly, it was finished. They did give me an $80 discount for "being misinformed of the time it would take to repair the vehicle". I'm still wondering how a quoted 3-3.5 hour job only took 50 minutes, but I suppose I will find out down the road when, or if, something breaks. Because of the discount and my vehicle being off the lift and drivable, I'll change my zero stars to 2. I will always still warn others to be mindful of what the service department tells you. Their suggestions are a money making scheme and should you need recalls done, you're better off staying there and waiting (and then asking every hour when the vehicle will be done)...apparently the only way to get your car back in an appropriate time frame is to act like a lunatic. If I could leave zero stars, I would. The service department is horrible. Told that 1 repair (for a part that I needed to pay in advance for) and 2 recalls would take 3-3.5 hours from start to finish. Dropped my vehicle off at 9am and then get an update at the 4 hour mark (after I asked for one) that my vehicle wouldn't be done until 5pm because they were short on service technicians. Couldn't call to reschedule me? No. Couldn't let me know in advance that it would take MUCH longer than the quoted time frame? No. Do yourselves a favor and stop over scheduling and make your paying customers happy with your prompt and professional service, because right now, your service is garbage. read more

I see that I am not the first person this happened too as well. All I wanted to do was look at a couple cars and get an idea of what I was looking at for my possible purchase a few months down the road. I was brought into the office told to fill out paperwork after I specifically said YOU ARE NOT PULLING MY CREDIT CORRECT? I was told it was to do the carfax on my current car.. Ian the car salesman insisted that he was NOT pulling my credit LIED to my face and boom next thing you know there's a hard pull on my credit. Called management to get it figured out & he insisted that "Ian would not do that" So I replied and said if that was the case we would not be having this conversation ... When you go into a doctor's office and they say "hey this paper is stating were charging your insurance" most people take their word for it and sign because lying about what is being signed would be ILLEGAL! Not much good to say about my purchase of a $36,000 used 2024 Ram 1500 Classic on Saturday December 13th. I showed up later on that Saturday interested in buying a new truck. The salesman, Ian was super aggressive, running across Route 11 to get me a minute after pulling in the lot. He works out a truck for me to test drive, during the test drive noticed the steering wheel was far off-center. I mention it and he tells me he'll have it aligned at no cost at their location. He's in a huge rush to get me gone because of some after work party. We get all the papers signed, and he rushes me to move my stuff from my car to my truck. He immediately takes my car away and I never saw him again. I noticed before even pulling out of the parking lot that the rim had a huge gouge/ dent right on the lip of the wheel, like it was curbed very hard. I called him immediately and of course he was already gone. He answers my phone call and suggests I should use my wheel package and have it repaired. Few days go by and I'm back for my alignment. While there I go across the street to find him or anybody that can help me. Two nice women helped me because Ian wasnt there. These women told me the finance manager offered to repair it for me and I thought all was good, but I was told I still need to talk Ian and that if he doesnt call me by noon the following day that I need to call him. So I call Ian and he tells me whatever I want to hear to get me off the phone. Told him I'd like to have it fixed between December 26th and January 1st. It is now the 26th and I have not heard anything and he has not responded to my text. I got my truck back and still the steering wheel was still crooked and off center (they actually implied it was road crown, just for some odd reason every road im on my steering wheel is crooked) Ian did mention during the test drive that some of the mechanics are incompetent and we laughed about it. I have since gave the truck a good look over, which is my fault for not going more indepth before sale. My brakes have felt spongy and need to be pumped to get harder and work properly. This caused me to check the brake fluid which was pretty dark. Today the 26th I paid to have an outside shop do an alignment and flush/bleed my brakes and surprise everything is better than it was. Kinda of disappointing that according to the Carfax they had this truck since October, have their own service department, and clearly never serviced it. Maybe they slapped a November inspection sticker on it and cleaned the interior. I would like my wheel fixed as I paid to fix these other things on my own, which should have been done before sale. I just kinda expect when I go to a larger dealership that sells new cars that everything would be serviced and ready to go on their used cars. I was wrong and it's on me. I don't know about the rest, but this is your stereotypical car salesman. Even though he gave me his business card and told me his cell is on there and that I can call anytime, he never wants to respond. I was told this would be covered and I shouldn't have to go to such great lengths to make contact to get this fixed. As hes selling me my truck hes trying to get a sale out of my girlfriend too, insisting on showing her brand new Kias after finding out she had just paid off her previous loan. The way this was handled won't get you more business, even though she was super interested in that Kia. He actually referred to them as a "real dealership" when telling him I was at smaller lots. This "real dealership" also put 2 new tires on the front that dont match the backs. The biggest vehicle purchase I ever made and mistakenly it happened to be at this dealer. Never trust a car salesman. I should have looked that thing over up and down. All this instead of either repairing or replacing with 150- 200$ used rim. Now you get a bad review and also lose out on the sale of a new Kia. I would not recommend buying a used car here. Im pretty mechanically inclined, but I let my guard down and overall expected a better experience for the price I paid. They absolutely would not give me a price on the truck. I asked 10 times and every time it was "I dont know". They want you to focus on the payment per month. They don't want to tell you the total sales price. They use this as their tactic to maneuver the numbers whatever way they want. Claimed to pay the 5000$ left on my car but truly just tacked it on the other end of my loan. After leaving here and comparing prices of others in the area I would consider myself hosed. read more

Bought a 2025 Kia Sportage, at the time of pick up the computer system wasn't working correctly, a few hours later picked up the car and they told me it was fine. since then the back up camera works when it wants to. if you accept a phone call the heat may decide to go up by itself. when sitting in the passenger seat I pulled down the sun visor and it came right off! it's been 2 months since I purchased the car and still haven't received the license plates. when asked if they had a loaner car they told me they didn't and they don't do any diagnostics on the weekend. when it was Gateway Kia I never had any problems, now that it is owned by Performance, it is TERRIBLE. They weren't ready. Then while going over the Bill of Sale they did not include a $300 Military Rebate. Tracy our salesman said he'd credit out credit card. Each day for 10 consecutive days I called asking for Those two to call me back. We are up to day 15 and they still haven't. I sent Cory my DD214 on May 12. He denies, says I never spoke to them about the rebate. May is Military Appreciation Month. They are not honest people, treatment after the sale is non existent. read more

The time I had spent at performance Kia was absolutely terrible. I was talked to as if I was a child and their attitudes were awful. They acted like I did not know what a credit score was, how financing worked, etc. They ran my credit score when I strictly told them not to, and even after we talked about not running it. I only found out that they ran my credit score when I got a paper in the mail. The employees were smoking cigarettes and vapes right outside by me and my two friends that were with me when we were sitting on the outside bench. Over heard the employees outside making fun of customers who pulled into the parking lot based on how their vehicles looked and their personal appearance. The employees were also not wearing masks inside the building, and if they were wearing one it was incorrectly. Do not recommend this business. Absolutely terrible and a waste of time. read more

I wish zero stars were possible. The Moosic, Pennsylvania (4225 Birney Ave, Moosic, PA 18507) location of Performance Kia has annoyed and harassed me for over a year and a half. I purchased a Volkswagen a few years ago and everything was great! Unfortunately, about a year and a half ago I was in an accident that totaled this car. I made sure the next day to call Kia and cancel any service appointments I have coming up and to please make a note in their system that the car no longer exists. They agreed and we moved on. Not much after this happened, I began receiving letters from that specific Kia location about how they were interested in giving me money towards the car that no longer exists. I gave a call, spoke to COREY KIME (who sold me the car initially), and let him know about the accident and the car being totaled. I mentioned I was interested in another Volkswagen in the near future and would keep an eye on the website if something popped up. He acknowledged the conversation and was motivated to get me into a new car although I kept mentioning I wasn't immediately interested. From there I was receiving a letter about once a month with an updated amount each time for how much they would like to trade for my TOTALLED car. I have run out of times to count how many times I or my husband called to remind them this car doesn't exist and to please update the mailing list or their records to spare themselves from wasting their time. The letters continued. Hell, the letters began getting sent to my parent's address and I haven't lived there for years. The absolute ignorance these employees have shown every single time we call is astounding. I've been hung up on and cursed at. We called as far corporate as we could, and nothing has been done. I was ready to make the deal, I asked for the price of the car and how much for my trade. I was told by the salesperson that he couldn't give me that answer, I would have to speak to his manager. I have never heard of a salesperson not being able to answer that question. I asked him can you find out for me and he told me no, I would have to sign some papers and then the manager would let me know what price of the car and my trade would be. The sales people are nice, as they tend to be, however after purchasing a car here with the promise of heated seats to be installed for free at a later date the experience went down hill. I had a 10:30am appointment to have the seats installed, made 2 weeks in advance. The person on the phone promised me there was no need to leave the car overnight as it would only take a couple of hours. I get to the dealership for my appointment to get greeted with a "what do you mean you aren't dropping the car off??". So after dealing with their attitude and telling them that there scheduling person told me I could wait and it wouldn't be a problem, I was forced to wait outside for the first 2 hours due to them not having any open seats. I finally make it inside, and my car is still not moved until 3 hours past it's appointment time when I was promised it would only take 2 over the phone. So in total it took 4 hours for the work to be completed, and I get to the car to see that someone left a disgusting dirty cloth kia face mask on the front passenger seat. I had enough at the point and went back inside, only for the person who took me out to my car to laugh in my face and try to tell me that he, a man working at a Kia service department, had no idea where a dirty cloth kia face mask could have possibly come from. I was so angry at this point I went and spoke to the salesman who sold us the car, who took it back across the street and made them clean the inside of the car. This was a nice gesture however it added another hour to my now 5 hour stay at the service department, due to the utter carelessness of the service department. The man in question who laughed on my face never even bothered to apologize for this, only the salesperson did and he wasn't even responsible for the issue. If they expect me to come back they need to do far, far better, as there are much closer service places to my house than this one (being an hour drive) and it's not worth saving $50 on an oil change to drive so far and have to kill an entire day to be treated with such disrespect. read more

When I accompanied her, they told me some of the same lies. Once we left, we later learned that they never honored the voucher and they placed a ton of hidden fees in the sale. They also failed to do proper maintenance on the used car. We returned the car for faulty brakes and they gave us a slip for the "work" done. Typically was able to get in to have vehicle inspected however the receptionist was ride and disrespectful. I didn't realize that when you purchase a vehicle in PA that the inspection doesn't coincide with the purchase. It is a new vehicle purchased with 5 miles. I was ready to buy a car and drive it off the lot (given if the price was right or at the very least, fair!)... however, we worked with Tracie who was not only in knowledgeable about the cars in their lot, but he wasted nearly 2 hours of our time, giving us the run around about irrelevant crap and avoiding giving us ANY numbers to discuss and negotiate, till we finally said, what is the price... then, after giving us a RIDICULOUS price, didn't even ATTEMPT to negotiate it down. We didn't even get introduced to the manager, he expected us to cross a busy street to meet him instead of the other way around... then as we left, instead of even saying goodbye or thank you fir your time, he quickly rushed into helping the next customer that walked in the door. Called and talked to Cory and he assured me they were giving 135% over kbb trade so I went in for an appraisal done by the sales manager. After receive numbers on my excellent trade by the way is flawless with low miles was told they were appraising it actually $2000 under book value which is unexceptable. Heads up everyone they will tell you anything you want to hear to get you in that door and sit down. If I were you don't sit down intimidate them. So next I got number on monthly payments on a vehicle that's msrp was 32,350 with out even telling me they threw a $9000 market increase on the car bringing it to 41,450. These people are scammers and low life's do not go to this dealership. Then right before I left the manager says to me we don't normally take people like you we care more about people in shitty situations with bad credit. From everything I gathered from this dealership basically if your in a good or bad situation there is a great chance that you will end up in a even bigger of a bad situation if you buy from these people. Not to mention they don't even look for banks with good rates they go for banks that will approve you and they don't care about the rate. They will sweet talk you about the better gas mileage you'll be getting but in all reality your paying more in the long run from the high apr's and terms they are only dealership that's offering a 10 year loan at 12.99% interest people that is crazy your payment will be around the same at a 6 year loan at 2.99%. I was looking for a specific car at a specific price. They had at least 3 of them on the lot. I was planning on a buying a car before the end of the week. We emailed several times, and texted, all I asked is that they let me know the price of the vehicles before i came down. I even gave them specifics of the cars, the mileage, and the price i was looking for. Despite literally 10 e-mails they would not give me a ballpark on the price. I will be buying a truck in the next few days but not from this place! I saw a truck on the lot for sale for about TWO WEEKS. I went to the website to get the price, its not listed says call for price. Website has a "text us" button so i fill out the info because i'm at work and in a meeting. I simply ask "How much for the 2020 Ram..." I don't get a text back, I get a phone call....so i walk out of my meeting and i take the call cause i really need a truck. So now I am a bit annoyed having to be interrupted from my meeting but happy that I'm getting the information requested. I take the call and ask "how much for the truck..." what i get next is a bunch of lies. The salesman tells me they just got the truck in, it just came from the shop being serviced and he hasn't received the shop costs. He proceeds to tell me how he can't give me the price today but i can schedule a test drive tomorrow... Why lie? I've been driving by this truck for two weeks? If the first words out of your mouth are lies, I have no confidence anything else you say or are selling is true or worthy. This is what a backfired high pressure sale looks like. This place sent me an email to draw me in, test drive a car and get $100 gift card. I was iffy at first because I heard sooooo many bad things about them from my family not just from reviews or strangers but I took a chance and went up there with the actual intent to trade my car. Boy was that a mistake! I got there and I told the the salesman Ron about the email and that I wanted to look at and test drive an Optima. He told me that I first had to "qualify" to be able purchase a vehicle?!? He wanted to assess my trade, get my pay off, and start a credit app. I have yet to look at a car or even decide to buy. After I told him 3 times that I didn't want to do the credit app and showed him the email twice that it says free $100 gift card for test drive, there was no fine print, trust me I re-read it several times. There is just a coupon for $2,500 off a new vehicle. I had never heard that you had to qualify to be able to purchase a vehicle and have had to go a credit app before even looking at a car or test driving a car and I trade my car about once every 1-1/2 years. Finally he asked me what features I liked and didn't take me out to the lot to show me them rather he went to pick one out for me he thought I'd like and brought it to the door briefly showed me the front drivers side and we went for a quick ride during the ride I told him I don't think I was ready to get it right now because I was trying to say that I didn't like it, and I don't like any of their other models I've had a few of them. When we got back to his desk he went to the back office which I thought he was going to get my car keys which I had to give him when he had my cars value checked. But I was way off. Not only did he keep my keys in the office (which was probably so I couldn't just leave) he brought out the "big boss Bill". He was trying to pressure me so hard into the purchase it was unbelievable! Finally I told him that I couldn't sign my dad would be the one to sign for it when I trade my car thinking I would get him off of my back because my dad wasn't with me. But then it gets worse, he wants to call my dad, I told him I needed to discuss what I was going to do with him because I didn't think I was interested. Then he wanted us to come up as soon as I got back to my house so I can pick up my dad (I live 12 miles away). I told him I can't answer for my dad and make plans for him, he went as far as asking for his work schedule. So I finally said I need to go and the salesman said he would get my keys. I asked if I could have my gift card, the "big boss Bill" said to go talk to my dad and he will keep my file open and when I come back up with my dad he will give it to me?!? I said uh I came up to look at and test drive a car which this email states and I'm entitled to this and he just ignored it. So on 8/11/17 Ron called me and asked me what I decided or if I can come up. I told him I wasn't interested I told him that I had my eyes on a car at a different dealership that I liked much better. I asked him if I could come up for the gift card he said yes as long as it's by Saturday because the Sale ends then. So I made it up there before they closed and met Ron in the lobby, he went into the back office to get the card. When he came out he handed me one $25 gift card and said that they ran out of $100 gift cards, I said I was supposed to get $100 and he said that I wasn't eligible because I couldn't submit the credit app that my dad is the one eligible because he would of been doing the app. I told them I was going to call the attorney general and they said go ahead! This is bullshit!! But as I was typing this I just realized that on the letter it says to come in from 8/1-8/17 for the gift card so I will call Ron tomorrow to speak with Bill and refresh their memory on what the email says and make sure I have several printed copies because this isn't about a gift card any more this is about false advertisement! So if they'd like I'll bring my dad up there on Monday, hey they said he was the one who would qualify to do the credit app and get the gift card but he's not going to go up there a happy camper doing a credit app buying a car. Oh no, he is the one that qualifies, so if they don't want to give me the remaining balance they owe me for the gift cards they can give my dad the full $100 plus gas for the back and forth nonsense. read more

make sure you check your paperwork! they told me they were paying off my previous car almost 17000$ like it was a great deal... what they really did was paid only 11,000 added 3200 to my new loan plus a 2500 warranty i did not even say i wanted! my new loan was supposed to be 32000 and when i called the bank they told me its 37000! my payment for the month was over 700$ ...checked with another dealership and my current lenders bank whom told me i could get approved for the same vehicle 200 less than what i am paying through performance kia! they are shady, dont inform you of all the details .. if you dont ask and just sign the papers they show you they will not tell you! read more
