Trucks are way overpriced! Ask for the Carfax on the trucks, you'll be happy you did. Every used or certified truck I looked at is from Canada. Transferring trucks from Canada to US makes them worth way less. Canada gets tons of snow which equals lots of salt. I could take a 2hr drive from here and pay THOUSANDS less. Service is horrible! This has happened twice in one month. My husband took his truck in for an inspection and new tires. He had an appointment. They didn't even look at his truck the entire day! The next day they said they didn't have the tires to fit his truck. He bought the truck there so tires shouldn't be an issue. It took 3 days to complete a simple inspection and new tires. Now my daughter is going through the same thing. She brought her car in for an inspection and a recall. Again, made an appointment. They said they needed to get parts for the recall (which they should have had since we made an appointment). Finally they said they have the parts. Dropped it off at 7:30 am. Luckily gave her a loaner since they didn't complete the work today. These are not complicated issues and they should be able to complete inspections in a day. This is also regarding the service department. I travel all over the US and at times will need service on a vehicle with a dealership. My experiences are typically cordial and helpful and I can be on my way. My experience here was anything but that. In fact, the attitude when dropping the car for service started out poor when I stood alone in front of their counter for 10 minutes with them not responding. Once the car was in, I was told 2 hours, which turned into 5 because "only one mechanic can work in that particular issue". When asking about specifics I was met with an air of superiority mixed with condescension. Even when asking and finally speaking to a manager I was not treated like a customer, but more like a problem. Needless to say, this was the worst experience I have had with the service of a vehicle. Avoid them at all costs - drive to another dealership. read more

The service dept is horrible unless you have a ford and under warranty you are going to get fooled here. The staff is smiling when you come in the door and laughing as you go out the door. They are disrespectful, dismissive, and not honest at all. I brought my car in for a check engine light and a leak. A day and half later which is fine if they needed that much time to go over the entire truck. Kim from service called and gave us a surprising list of issues that were around the 4500 cost. We gave the green light 2 more days go by and the phone came to pick up the truck. That weekend the truck was still leaking fluids so back down to Gibbs Ford another day and half goes by and now the manager Joe from service calls and explains the leak is now fixed but I have 6 other issues including 6 fuel injectors etc. when I asked why didn't it come up a few days ago with all these other issues I was told the 1st time they had the truck it was a visual inspection and since I have a programmer in the truck the codes can't be read. Now if this was slightly true how the hell did they solve my check engine light the 1st time when truck was brought in ? No answer that's when his cuteness and lie after lie kicked in. He also said the truck is falling apart what happened to Kim telling me it just needs a little tlc? What happened not telling us that the 1st time we would of had a option to put money into the truck or not instead they mislead us or overlooked the inspection either way it leads up to one thing unprofessional and extremely costly on the customer. We had to call server all times they out this issue because nobody would call is back for days this truck sat we we had to contact Daryl which is supposed to be the store manager another useless character pretending to care but blow you off like your some low life. Now we can see how they are making so much money to be moving over to the mall area from taken from customers. Because of us lol that's their commercial slogan. The whole experience was about 1 1/4 hours long, I was treated courteously and kept up to date on anything I needed to do with the car beyond what I'd been informed about at check in. Would have not given any stars, but had to give one. They are TERRIBLE! Service department is the worst. My vehicle was there for a week before they even looked at it to diagnose the problem and that was only after I called to complain. Once diagnosed on a Saturday, was told the part would be in Tuesday and repaired by the end of the day. That was a lie! Told me Tuesday the part was in but wouldn't be done till Wednesday. I called Wednesday and was told the part hadn't come in yet! That was a lie! Was told later that day that the part was in and would be fixed that day.....guess what...That was a lie! Was told Thursday that it would be done no later than Friday. I was going out of town so I asked them to leave the keys in it and I would pick it up on Father's Day on my way home....Happy Father's Day to me.....TRUCK WAS NOT DONE....AGAIN!!! Finally after calling again on Monday, the truck was finally fixed that afternoon! I was told " it fell through the cracks!" BULL$hi!..... I will never go to Gibbons ever again..... read more

Do not go to this dealership!! Terrible customer service. I have been dealing with this business for the past five years and have had terrible service since the beginning but was forced to get service here because it is one of the only local ford dealerships. It all began when I had to get a heater replaced, long story short I have been back five times because the work was not done right. Next I had popped a tire (living in nepa this is inevitable) and had it replaced there. After 11 tires with them I said that's enough. Went to fire stone and have never had a problem since. Not to mention, they never have an appointment available. 2 month wait? How is that even logical. When someone has car trouble they have to wait two months.. worst dealership I have ever been to. Mr. Jayne, I figured my reply to your comment would not receive much thus I'm back here. However I feel it is important to ensure that you understand a few things and make it known what is factual and what is not. The truck in question was not recently purchased by me or my father in law. It has been owned by him for a number of years with detailed maintenance documentation. I have recently become co-owner with him. Additionally, a diesel truck with 110k miles is hardly high mileage. A statement I'm sure every sales person on your floor says to a prospective buyer of a used diesel. I hope that you can understand our position on this issue. We are stuck between two Ford techs with each pointing their finger at the other. I ask you to sit in my shoes regarding this issue. How would you handle something like this? My guess is you would not just let it be after you spent $17k getting the truck back on the road. I now have the full repair order from Ford with documentation of the cause. Yes, it was a broken intake tube that allowed dust and debris to enter the turbo and engine per Ford. Your techs were the last to have all if these components apart while repairing the turbo. No damage to the intake tube was reported nor was it recommended to be replaced. It would be very difficult to miss the hole. That tells me that between the repair at Gibbons and the subsequent tear down of the engine the hose failed. Our Ford tech believes the hose failed due to a worm clamp being too tight, breaking the hose. The time between the two events is a little over a week. We have yet to have any detailed report or the mention of any investigation into the issue by you or representatives of Gibbons Ford beyond a conversation you reported you had to us with your tech. I don't feel our issue is being heard or truely cared about. To ensure the clarity of my feelings; I'm stuck between two different opinions from certified Ford Techs. One that cost me $17k. All the parts in question were removed and reinstalled to replace the turbo at your shop. No mention of a giant hole in the intake hose. No fault codes about the cylinders reported. In little over a week it needed a new engine and a second turbo. I saw all the damage parts including cylinder 8. Please tell me how you would handle this if it was your family member bring their truck to you after being worked on a week before at another ford dealer and needed this much work? I'm certainly open to more conversations but I'm not just going to go away. read more

Today I tried to use the Quick lane service for an oil change. What a joke. I waited 1 hour and 20 minutes and my truck was still not on the lift. I went to the counter to get my truck and they told me it was next in and it would only be 30 more minutes. You call that quick . Give me a break. I asked again for my truck and it was finally brought around. The people at the counter never said they were sorry or at least give an excuse. The girl brought my truck around ,she got out with her back to me and never said a word. I will never go there again and I will never buy a vehicle from there. read more

I leased a 2016 Edge Titanium in June 2016. I chose Gibbons cause they found the car I had been looking around for with the color, equipment and extras we wanted on a new car. I decided to lease it for 3 years. As my lease was approaching to end we were discussing buying it or turning it in. I spoke to a financial advisor a few months before to find out what we had to do when the time came. He said come back in June and we'll do the paperwork for you since you actually have the car till July. On Good Friday I had an appointment to have the car completely looked over. I had made the appointment weeks before knowing I had the day off from work. The service department person asked if I was leaving it, I said , "No I live 45 miles one way and didn't want to have to locate someone to come get me and bring me back down. Not too mention, I had the whole day set aside for it. I was there for them to check the Vista sunroof cause it got stuck the weekend before when we opened it, and to have the transmission checked for leaks. We have a good friend that's a mechanic and he said before you buy it make them check for leaks cause they've been known in the past to have issues. Well when I arrived to the service department the person behind the desk asked if I was leaving it. I said, "No the person I made the appointment with said I didn't have too". She said it would probably be 2 1/2 & 3 hours I said that's fine. When they finally came out and said it was done she proceeded to say they put some lubricant on the sun roof and as far as the transmission leaking they, couldn't find anything. But... But we're going to charge you 1/2 of the labor for checking cause we didn't find anything. REALLY? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? It has 28,XXX miles and its under warranty till at least 30,000. Oh and the Best yet........ The mechanic said, who ever changed your oil last time didn't put the filter on tight enough, you need to have it checked it looks like it's leaking. They wouldn't tighten it there? Are you FOR REAL? First off all, you charged me to check my transmission when it is under warranty. Second this is your vehicle, I am leasing it. If I decide to turn it back in when the lease is done, NOW this issue you basically ignored is your problem. Third, When I called to talk to the Financial advisor I spoke to months before, I find out he's no longer an employee. So the girl I talked too took my name and number to call me back after she was done with the customers she had. Here we are almost 2 months later still waiting for her call back. And we were told we had the car till July 18 WRONG! The buyout needed to be done by June 18. So if we hadn't taken it upon ourselves to purse it, we probably would of lost the car. Well Gibbons Ford The car is NOW MINE!!! No Thanks to you but to Montrose Motors. Why? Because they actually care about their customers. I went locally and bought it out off the lease. From now on I will buy locally cause you people don't know how to treat your customers. Obviously you have enough business that you don't need mine ever again. read more

Carlos who works in the service department is wonderful!!!!He actually cares!! Ed the shuttle driver was fabulous & also cares!!! Appointment was at 7:30, told another person via email that I truly needed my car by 3:30. She never communicated this to Carlos, but Carlos went above & beyond to get me finished & the shuttle driver Ed went above & beyond to help me. These 2 people are great, the person who sent the email does not listen what so ever. Gibbons needs to find more people like Carlos!! & Ed!!! I went to Gibbon's Ford to get an oil change in their quick lane service. It was anything but quick. It took 11/2 hours. I Inquired about what the $34.99 service included. The girl showed me a paper and said everything is included, the oil change, rotating the tires, topping off the fluids etc.. When my car was Finally finished they gave me the bill for $60. The girl reviewed an assortment of extra charges added on my bill. When I made it perfectly clear that I was not paying $ 60 for an oil change specifically since I inquired about the price and what was included. I told her it was false advertisement since it is on their website and posted in the garage. She agreed it is definitely false advertisement and that they hear it all the time. They ended up adjusting my bill to $41. I will never go back there again! read more

Recently had my 2017 F150 there for "quick lane" service. Over 2 hours later I got it back and all they did was change the oil. They explained to me they didn't rotate the tires because their tech didn't feel it was necessary. I'm a paying customer if I want them rotated I'm not looking for his opinion I want them rotated. We had been looking for a very specific make and model car and since we live in NJ, it just made sense that we searched around here. We browsed various used car sites. Cars.com and Autotrader. We visited several dealerships and the last we visited in NJ had hidden fees woven into the final discussion. We felt insulted and ultimately left. We loved the car, but just didn't want to feel taken advantage of. We then did a search outside of our state and found Gibbons. They had several cars of the make and model we were looking for. No hidden fees and an amazingly helpful staff. We spoke to Cindy on the phone and she assured us we wouldn't be surprised by anything. We took the drive, was assisted by a very empowered and friendly reception desk, tested the cars, met Cindy and bought the car right then and there. It was a great experience. Truly the best we've had. I'd highly recommend the place. Oh, and the facility is very new and comfortable. We felt very at home in the state of the art facility. Well done everyone. read more

THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT SUCKS! I purchased a certified 2008 Mustang on 4-4-2013. On 4-10-13 I notified the salesman of issues I was having with the car via e-mail. Two days later I placed a call since I received no reply. Long story short, this car has been in for service 4 times to Gibbons and twice to another Ford dealer. $241.10 later I am still having problems.(Ball joints were out of spec, after market headlights were not aimed correctly and had to be replaced, exhaust is faulty and hits the underside of the car, muffler needs to be changed - all verified by another Ford dealership and independent mechanics). The other Ford dealership said they could fix the problem but I would need to pay for it since I did not purchase the car from them. Gibbons keeps making new appointments and putting the issue off. I leave with nothing having been corrected. They were quick to sell the car but not so quick to correct the problems. Dealing with Joe the service mgr is no better. He claims he doesn't get messages until days later, even though he has a voice mail. I have put less than 3,000 miles on this car since I bought it and most of that was driving back for service, killing a whole day. If you want a dependable used car, look someplace else. This was my third car purchased from them and I can say for sure it was also my last. read more

Buyer beware. Our new 2017 Fusion had electrical problems and after several months ford company, not Gibbons, finally found that there was a problem but could not find out what it was. Gibbons would not lift a finger to help solve the matter. Ford company finally agreed to repurchase vehicle and when we signed the papers at Gibbons, the papers sat in a FEDEX envelope on a shelf for 5-6 days. Until we called and than General Sales Manager Andy "oh just found them, no idea why they weren't sent out" bottom line bought a brand new vehicle at Gibbons and 6 months later we are still waiting for this nightmare to end. I'm surprised by all of the bad reviews for the service department. I brought my car to Gibbons Ford due to a safety recall. I had never been there before and I was pleasantly surprised. I usually take my car to a local, privately-owned garage because I know and trust the mechanic. However, the staff was very polite and welcoming. They fixed my car quickly and answered all of my questions. I'm a 25-year old woman with zero car knowledge and they could have very easily (and deservedly) rolled their eyes at me, but they didn't. Bought a 2012 f150 with 32,000 miles on it and got a certified pre owned warranty, which with getting that there was a supposed 60 point safety inspection! Put 2200 miles on my truck and rear brakes were down to nothing so had to replace them and when I got the rear tire off I found a hole in my shock, now I am a certified mechanic and those things don't go wrong in 2200 miles and of course when I called dealership about issues none of it is covered with warranty! THE most rude and nasty auto service dept. I have EVER dealt with!! I am originally from the area and I spend a lot of time there with my extended family and had never heard anything bad about the dealership. So, when my Ford broke down, I had it towed to their lot. I bought the car at another Ford dealership in a different state. I guess since we were not potential return customers, we could be refused service. My husband I were missing work and thought that when we called, they would give us a date that they could work on the car. On the phone they told me that they didn't know when they could get to it. Maybe they would know the next day. On the second day, my husband and I went to the service department and the only person more rude than the guy behind the counter, was the manager who happened to come through. We were told in a nasty and derogatory manner that they couldn't even tell me when they would be able to work on the car. They said that it wouldn't be the current week, and they didn't know when they could 'fit it in'. I automatically had the car towed to a Ford dealer because of the wonderful service department that we deal with where the car was purchased. (Sunnyside Ford, Holden, MA). I couldn't believe how rudely I was treated!!! I had the car towed to another auto service center and it was fixed the next day. How long does it take to install an alternator? It wasn't some wierd unknown issue! DONT even think of buying a car here. They certainly have no idea how to deal with customers. I have family in the area and I have made sure that they have all been warned not to patronzie this dealership! read more
