The store manager MELISSA has a disgusting attitude and the workers don't fall far behind. I guess that speak to company culture as most target employee seem to have the same attitude when you bother them by trying to shop in their store. My wife and I tired to ad match a product that we found cheaper in a local Walmart ad. Upon showing the ad to the clerk she said that I made the ad up myself personally and that the sell was a lie and they would not honor that!!!! Confused by this I left the store without the product, but then decided that it may be a good idea to call and get some clarity on the policy from the actual store manager. Huge mistake!!!!!!! Let's just say I had to call 3 times and was hung up on twice simply for asking questions about their policy and gain an understanding for future visits. There will be none to this store. And don't bother trying to complain! I called corporate to file a complaint and they sent it to the same store manager I have the issue with.... yeah thanks for nothing! Today I went to return a gas fire pit that we purchased around March 3, 2021. We paid cash for the unit and unfortunately we lost our receipt as we just moved. The fire pit would not stay lit, we had realized this a few days earlier. When I went to Target today to return the defective fire pit I was told I could not return it because it was over the 100.00 amount. The funny thing is we only paid 75.00 plus tax and the store shelf confirmed this fact. In their computer system the item shows 109.00 plus tax. All I wanted was to get an in store credit for what we paid for the fire pit. Needless to say I left very disappointed. When I got home I decided to call Target and speak with a manager and his name was Justin DiNatale. I explained the situation which he requested some time to check everything out. 10 minutes later Justin called me back and told me to come back with the defective gas fire pit and my receipt from last Saturday when I purchased a much nicer, more expensive fire pit and that he would make it right. He confirmed that there is a glitch with their computer system. Let me just say that he made it better than right. he credited me the 109.00 as per the system and allowed me to apply that credit to the purchase we had made last Saturday on our new fire pit. In today's climate no one ever wants to go the extra mile however in this case it was clear that Justin was determined to find a solution. His ability went above and beyond any of my expectations in today's world. Thank you Justin for instilling some faith in me today! This Target location consistently does not have enough registers open. Wait time of 5-10 mins is reasonable but that's NOT what shoppers face while at this store. I visited this Target and had to use the restroom and I'd just like to share the state of their women's restroom. I don't even want to see what the men's looked like. Every single toilet had poop in it! Multiple had no toilet paper and It is falling apart! And to top it off someone hooked a febreeze car vent clip on the air vent to help the smell of the restroom. I went to Target to purchase printer ink for the reason I needed to print something out and send it to the IRS but when I got there they couldn't sell it to me because it was a non essential item. But as I was walking out of the store they have the makeup for women there which you can purchase. So what makes makeup an essential but printer ink not. So I drove across the street to staples and was able to but printer ink there. So how come I can buy it at one place but not another it makes no sense what so ever. So out of curiosity who are the people that makes these decisions what is essential & non essential ? Or the candy that's at the end of the end caps by the registers. But at the end of the day, Target has everything I need and it's much cleaner than Walmart. Still, I'd recommend the Target on the other side of town over this one. I come to this target often as I live very close to it. I almost always see a pet when I come here. For those that don't know, Target is NOT pet friendly at ALL. They can get this location shut down if this keeps happening. Anyway, last night I had been there with my service dog who by law is allowed to be in the store with me. I see a little dog in a cart before we even enter. Despite Target having security, they get in as gross as that is. I record the entire time I'm in there so I can protect my dog. In the game section my service dog and I are spooked by the little dog barking and growling next to us. I just wanted to leave so we finished up and headed to checkout when I see a pile of dog crap that's been run through by a shopping cart. Gross. That's a heart code violation. I take this up with some staff, checkout, and leave. I'm writing this not after one instance, but after maybe 10+. This is our local Target and we've been shopping there for many years and that won't change. But it is so annoying to grab a cart and have it be full of trash. It's not just the odd one, I went through 8 today....all had more trash than is acceptable. The cart people should clean as you go...just like Smart & Final, Vons, and other stores do. It's not that difficult. Having carts with trash in them is low class and a bad experience. If I want that I'll go to Walmart, where it's expected. Target should be a nicer experience. read more

The past couple months I've noticed this target location has a lot of items out of stock consistently. I stopped at another target location down in Burbank, which is a lot bigger I realize, and they had all of the products that I normally purchase in stock there. I feel like recently when I go to this target on my routine runs, the shelves are very empty and the website says that they have the products I'm looking for in stock, but they're clearly in the back and not being put back on the shelves, so I've been ordering pickup instead of going in store to find things. This store is poorly managed. It is dirty, poorly organized and always and I mean always out of stock. Example: wife uses Revlon #43 hair color and for the last two years it has been frequently out of stock. When we asked one of the Target employees why the #43 color seems to always be out of stock she replied, "Oh that's the most popular color." Well then common sense says to order more of that color and yet this Target store doesn't do that. That is only one example of poor decisions made on the management side. The explanation is and has been due to "Covid" we can't get the stock. However, the other Target store in Simi Valley isn't out of stock. Time to change stores to another vendor. read more

TARGET PUT YOUR EMPLOYEES ON CHECK! It is not pleasant to see a couple making out, and the girl's legs is wide open right by the main entrance. Oh, not only that, the girl had her ass on top of STARBUCKS TABLE!!!! People seat and put their drinks, arms on that same table that her ass was seating on! We had ordered a crib through this store and got sent home with the wrong one by accident. We came is quite a while later and went to customer service to get it exchanged for the correct crib. Came here cause it's on the way to a graduation ceremony at Santa Susana High and found some fine flower bouquet here. I thought this Target was clean (compared to the Signal Hill/LB Target). No complaints really. Not really a crowd at this one. Lots of parking to choose from. Bathrooms IMO was very clean. Lots of stock for the cheapie $1 - 2 - 3 bins up front for 4th of July. I decided to wait the entire day prior to writing this. I work about 6 minutes away from this Target so it is the most convenient to do some quick shopping and this is one of the only stores that still has front parking (all have drive up no contact spaces now) near the entrance. I have an arthritic knee so when it flares up I am in utter pain. This morning I decided to do a quick stop prior to heading in to work. For the past 6 months I have been going here at least once a week, every single time I checked out through their self checkout system. Anytime I have interacted with an attendant it was less than hospitable. Generally I just bite my tongue and just move on without any confrontation and without attempting to be a jerk. I don't understand why this and only this Target I always have an issue, not just by the lack of help but the consistent attitude. Today wasn't any different; I used the self checkout, my total was about $190.00 and since they don't provide a sensible packing area I used the scanning bed by covering it up with my bag. I managed to get entire purchase into my bag but one item accidentally scanned in so I pushed the cancel button. The attendant had to come over and place her code in to cancel it out. I thanked her (no reaction or reply) and proceeded to organize my bag a bit and headed towards the door, as I looked the the attendant stared me down as if I had committed some sort of crime. I just said wow and walked out. Now this maybe no big deal to many but like I mentioned before, anytime that I had any interaction at the self checkout was very uncomfortable and in some cases very nasty attitude. I have access to 4 Targets by my house and only 1 other has close walking access. I really hope that a few of them begin to open parking access so I would be able just to go to the other Targets and never go to this one ever again. read more

The last few times I went to the ER were due to injuries, so wtf do you expect? I went to the Target store this morning to return a camera I just bought a few days ago. I had the receipt. I also had a bag I got the same day, but no receipt. There are 2 Target stores in this town. I shop at the big new one, but I was close to the old smaller one. They take back anything supposedly that was bought at Target at any store. First the woman nastily told me my bag was clearance in the store. I said no. She said all Target stores are different.Then she said they do not carry that bag at any Target. I said I just bought it. She got very rude, told me she will not take it back. I said "I will put it on Facebook, Tweet it, Yelp, Target corporate site, letters to the editor. She then went and got security. I guess that must be construed as a terrorist threat or what? She inspected my camera return next, told me I cannot return it, "it had no battery". She searched every inch of the camera, inside and out. I showed her battery was in the niche in the packaging it came in. She did not say sorry! She gave the camera to the security man to recheck the numbers to make sure they were correct. I was totally humiliated, and told her she should get a star for making a senior citizen with handicapped plates on their car, cry today!!!!!!!! I was so embarrassed so fed up, I even never counted my money for the camera. I cannot see small things always, my hand twitches, my knees are worn out. I walk terrible, and a hard time seeing in florescent lights. I hate shopping. I hate returning stuff even more. Security stood there, as though I am a threat to Target. I left stating it is a shame so many nice nice people are out of work. She needs an attitude change. I will shop at the better Target! Really annoying, today I took the bag to the other Target, where I bought it. I had a receipt, found it. BUT I get a gift card, which I must use in their store. I paid with ATM.... they got the money instantly,. Now they have the bag, and still my money, which I must now spend at their stores again. This is probably the worst Target I've ever been to. Seriously, avoid it at all costs. Drive the 3.9 miles to the Tierra Rejada Target instead! It's newer, cleaner, and the staff is infinitely more accommodating. Geez, I'd even go next door to Wal-Mart before coming here again. I had received a $5 off any $25 apparel/accessories purchase coupon in the mail and was in the market for some new pants. So I went to this Target out of convenience (I have always preferred the Tierra Rejada one) and found myself a pair of pants for $24.99. However, when I tried to use the coupon at checkout the cashier rudely informed me that I was ONE CENT short of qualifying for the coupon. Is that really Target policy? To refuse a customer based on one cent? She called another woman over, presumably a manager, who also bluntly informed me that I needed to go "buy a scarf or something." You want me to buy a $14.99 scarf to make up for the one cent difference? To use a $5 off coupon?? Seriously??? I told them I didn't want the pants after all. On this particular trip I also chose to be that incredibly annoying customer that brings a stack of coupons to check-out. That cashier argued with me on literally every single coupon and whether I was eligible to use it. It was as if she thought I was taking the money out of her own pocket. I've been to other Targets where they've allowed customers to use expired coupons and multiple coupons for one item. They have the worst people at the return counter. A girl named Marlene wasn't helpful at all. I tried returning the crib bed sheet that i ordered online and she said the system is down only because she couldn't find my order. She asked me to come back and when I asked her when, she said "I don't know. Maybe an hour, maybe tomorrow. I don't control the system." I ended up going to Moorpark Marketplace and those people were way too nice! They helped me with my return with no problems. I don't recommend the Simi Valley Cochran St. location. read more

I'm disgusted and dissatisfied with how target employee's present themselves and handle things. I for one know firsthand what it's like in a customer service driven business, that being said when a customer is upset the manager, or employee should go above and beyond expectations to make sure that customer does not leave with a bad taste in their mouth. After I spent my entire day. Giving children with cancer/diseases Christmas gifts which were purchased out of my own pocket, just for The fact as I pray for their health and happiness everyday as putting a smile on a sick child is something everyone should try. BUT I was just done eating dinner and I had spent 14 Hrs working and Getting the gifts ready for the weekend And the night prior I had Bought a Jacket from target that I did not need for $30 so I was planning on returning it. Along with Hair Gel. The Gel receipt was in my wallet and the Jacket receipt had been in my pocket all day... Me being EXTREMELY tired. Having to go back their all weekend, not thinking I put the receipt in a ball and when it was my time to return I opened the receipt and with a smile on my face I said "I Apologize". Maybe because I was tired or the young 22 yr old Hispanic woman said yeah we aren't taking your receipt.. And I completely thought she was joking and her other 22 yr old Caucasian friend looked at the receipt, where you could see all the #s, the Price, all tags were on the merchandise and they told me they would not accept that receipt even though they knew everything was correct. But maybe because I looked tired they wanted to make my day bad. I was COMPLETELY ASTONISHED and I looked at the Hispanic young lady and I said are you serious? And she says ya we don't except krinkled receipts. Than I went to say " it's Christmas time and because my receipt was in my pocket all day you aren't gonna take it back? I'm a grown man and you are Clearly a child still but when you grow up you will realize it's probably nice to be kind to everyone instead of threaten an elder n tell them he won't get his money back ever. She thought she was being smart but little did she know I was with cancer patients and sick children all day, giving them gifts and for these 2 little brats, not take my receipt is utterly disrespectful, disgusting and disheartening. It's the Holidays, you don't know what ANYONE. Is Going through and what if I needed That $25 to pay my mothers water bill or something as such? and she denied my ability because the little brat thought she was being cool..
