    Optical Department

Large, well-organized Target in the Western Burbs of Chicago. It was clearly custom built for Target recently, having one huge rectangular space, which gives opportunity for reorganization as consumer trends change. Some of the highlights are an optical department, a really big separated section for alcohol (wine and spirits) and plenty of self checkout. The store looked plenty stocked and was able to find and purchase what we needed quickly and effectively.

This is how Target on Schaumburg Rd looks like. What a hot mess!

What happened to Target on Schaumburg Rd? Why is this place such a mess? I have never been to a store that looked so bad. Who runs this store? I'm absolutely discussed. I went there to buy jeans for my teenage son and the place looked like a bomb exploded. I couldn't wait to get out of this disaster of a store. I will definitely not be coming back.

Excellent Service at the West Schaumburg Target. The manager Mike was very helpful and treated my boyfriend and I so great. I had a terrible day today and when I came in to the West Schaumburg Target all the team members greeted me and made my experience great. I am very happy with the service I got from this store. I will definitely be coming back again. Thank you mike and guest services team!

Some girls grow up dreaming of a white dress and a big day and beautiful man, but not this one. Marriage has never been a dream or desire of mine, but that doesn't mean I don't have life goals and aspirations. Every time I need to escape from the real world and all my many menial problems and mental short-comings I close my eyes and dream of my version of the typical white dress. Only it's not a dress... it's a pair of khakis topped with a red polo shirt and name tag with a red and white bulls-eye. I'd trade my big day for the big store, a SUPER store and my beautiful man could easily be transformed into a scene full of sales racks with orange clearance stickers galore. My 'crying game' sometimes involves rocking back and forth while while hugging myself and repeating 'You don't work at Target. You don't work at Target. You don't work at Target'. Sad, but true. Not that I've got a bad gig now, but c'mon. First dibs on a cornucopia of clearance racks and getting to ravage the new season's virgin displays... how can I deny my lust for all things red and white and nominally priced? And this Target is one of the very BEST I've found. Even on my two Target a day habit. The best in sales pricing. The best in size selection. The best in customer service (big ups to Jane at the CS counter). Yet somehow, this place is never as crowded as the other Targets. It's like... a dream come true. For a few more bulls-eye quality Target shopping tips, read on with your bad shopping self... New markdowns are as follows: * Electronics and kids clothes on Monday. * Women's clothes and pets on Tuesday. * Men's clothes, beauty, misc lawn and toys on Wednesday. * House goods, pjs and undies, shoes, music and movies, sports ish is Thursday. * Jewelry and accessories on Friday. * If something is marked down to a price ending in an '8' ($34.98), it will be marked down again, usually in two weeks. If it's marked down to a price ending in a '4', buy that ish because that's as low as it's gonna go. An DO sign up for a Target Red Card; you get 5% off all your purchases on the card. Viva La Target!

First of all, she needs to learn how to welcome people into the store and not just stare and ignore people and not even try to talk to people. My checkout experience was terrible with her. Tried small talk and got silence from her. Literally!!! Secondly, someone needs to train her on how to use the computer bc either she didn't want to do her job or she has no idea how to do anything on the computer. She had to "redo" it like 5 times with the customer before me and with me. And lastly, (the main reason why I'm leaving this review), the AUDACITY with this lady to talk about other customers while customers are literally standing right next to her waiting....she spoke badly about an Indian gentlemen that goes into the store to buy rugs and how she can't believe he could actually have a house that big enough to even buy that many rugs so she believes he resells them. Thankfully the customer corrected her and said "we don't know that". And she's like "oh come on you think he actually has a house that big".....seriously pathetic of her. She should be fired. On another note, Mike was there and was the sweetest person and introduced himself and asked if he could help us with anything. Miranda you need to reassess your morals and remember YOU work there and WE are shopping there...sad woman. It's hilarious, workers like these act like they're somehow better than the customers when they are the ones working there lol. Leaving two stars bc Mike was cool but miranda, awful soul.

They have the largest selection by far, and most of what they accept is in good condition. There's always something interesting in their collection, which at any time has handmade, vintage, collectible, and other unique items alongside more conventional ones. The more desirable vintage and antique items won't be cheap, but they'll be cheaper than at a curated vintage or antique furniture shop. Jubilee isn't a thrift store, and in some cases their prices can be a bit high. Everything is final sale, so there's an element of "buyer beware," like most resale shops. They put the brand name on the price tag if it's a selling point, but not so much for cheaper brands. Once I purchased an item here, and when I got home I found the label and saw it was made in China by a low-end furniture company. I never would have paid as much had I known, so I felt a bit duped. However I still wound up going back as I never found as much furniture I liked anywhere else. And for what it's worth, the item has held up. Most of their service is provided by volunteers, who are nice, but some are more knowledgeable than others. To sum up, it's not perfect, but in a retail landscape where most new furniture is either flimsy "manufactured wood" or ultra-expensive high end brands, Jubilee helps fill an important gap for affordable quality furniture.

Well, I should say I wasn't really eager to travel to a brick-and-mortar store since online shopping for home is more convenient, and often times, cheaper without having to leave the comfort of my own residence. The first impression I had was how similar it was to "HomeGoods," except it was a larger space. There were Christmas trees and decorations near the entrance, three (3) aisles of chairs I saw next, and planters, gardening essentials, poufs and ottomans against the walls. I then spotted some sofas, loveseats, and outdoor furniture toward the back of venue. I then walked through the rug and carpet department. It was quite disorganized. Items were picked over and placed on the floor instead of getting put back on the shelves. Well, this phenomenon was often seen in many retail stores post-holidays or on the weekends. I wasn't shocked, but I knew perhaps the associates and managers there could do a better job on maintaining the best visual. In addition, I noticed some items were damaged or having minor defects. Hubby and I were looking for a planning board with the days of week that we could write on daily activities or meal-prep-related messages. The one we originally wanted to purchase had a broken hook. Fortunately, we spotted another style on the other side. With that being said, conduct detailed quality check before you commit on buying anything at the store. Many tables already had scratches, dents, or uneven legs. I guess we would meet these damaged goods pretty soon at Marshall's, TJ Maxx, or HomeGoods with deeper discounts? No se, pero "we shall see!" The trip to "At Home" wasn't exactly a waste, even though I did have to admit the prices weren't exactly the lowest one could find. This is the year of 2018. E-commerce is now the sh*t. Therefore, I would certainly encourage you all to do more web browsing before cruising on the road.

Finally, after nine long months, my furniture has arrived! Yay!…read more I ordered the furniture on New Year's Day 2022, and today was the day. What brought me here was two-fold: the immediate reason is that they had a daybed on clearance and I needed a guest bed; I had been looking for a full-sized daybed since it could serve multiple purposes. In addition, I had been looking at sofas for months and noticed in their catalog a couch with arms that had a pleated arm, which I have not seen before. Usually in couches I see a standard track, sock, or some other similar arm, but I loved the look of the pleat. I had intended to only purchase the daybed, but decided I might as well just get it all. I didn't realize how backlogged they were so it's good I did. The process of ordering was... for me... involved, but others I am certain won't take as long. I wanted to make the perfect choice for me, so I looked at basically every fabric they had. You might think that's hyperbole but I honestly think I did. The only thing I knew I wanted was for it to be very firm and for it to have pleats on the arms. I spent 3-5 hours at the store that day viewing couches, fabrics, deciding on pillow fabrics, and so on. There actually was a big snowstorm that day and they sent a few people home and by the time I left I had to drive like 40 miles per hour home from Glendale Heights to Ravenswood, but Chris (who no longer works there) was very patient and the other folks who work there were great too. I need to get an ottoman for my new couch, and I'd be happy to work with any of these designers. However, my review is a bit mixed, unfortunately. Whilst working with the designers was good and they were very helpful, the delivery wasn't as good. I decided to err on the side of a higher review so that I don't give too much weight to this somewhat small thing, but the delivery was a problem in two ways. One, when I asked the guy if he could lift the daybed slightly so I could adjust the rug that was underneath, he gave me a look like I had called him a slur and grudgingly moved it a tiny bit. His reaction made me not want to ask him for help so I just struggled with it later on my own. Secondly, I noticed when I returned upstairs that they had gotten some sort of brown goo on my brand new (fewer than two and a half weeks) painted walls. I tried washing it off but only got so much. So now I have to correct that, which is really, really annoying.

We ordered a couch and selected a delivery date based on the delivery options the company provided. We planned around it, expecting a normal delivery of brand-new furniture. Instead, we've dealt with repeated damage, failed deliveries and no clear point of contact. And when you try to get help, there's effectively no human support to resolve the problem. Here's what happened from start to finish: Delivery attempt No. 1: No warning, then "it's damaged" On the scheduled delivery day, we received no advance notice of any issues. The delivery team arrived and told us the couch had been damaged at the warehouse and would not be delivered. The drivers even said we should have been notified ahead of time, but we weren't. They proceeded with the rest of the order, but once the truck was opened it was clear additional pieces were damaged, too -- specifically the coffee table and side tables. The drivers refused to deliver them because the damage was obvious. So after waiting for delivery, we ended the day with no couch and damaged items that could not be delivered. Delivery attempt No. 2: Couch arrives -- but defective and incorrectly assembled We waited for a second attempt. This time the couch did arrive, but it was in unacceptable condition for a new purchase. It had: * a rip/tear * improper assembly * a bend in the center * a bottom riser dragging * the wrong legs We were not comfortable sitting on it. We were also pushed toward "repair" as a solution, which is not reasonable for a brand-new couch that arrived defective and incorrectly assembled. Delivery attempt No. 3: The "replacement" is broken on the truck This attempt was supposed to be the fix: exchange the broken couch for a new, non-broken couch. Instead, the delivery team told us the replacement couch had a bent footrest while still on the truck. They said they tried to repair it, but it still wasn't functioning properly. After three delivery attempts, we were once again left without a working couch. Over a month later: still no resolution It has now been more than a month and we still do not have a functioning couch or a clear resolution. Communication has been slow and inconsistent, we've been bounced between people, and there is no single person taking ownership of the issue through completion. Bottom line We paid for new furniture. We've received damaged items, defective assembly, and a replacement that was broken before it even came off the truck -- plus no reliable way to speak to someone who can fix it. We do not recommend this company. If you're thinking about ordering, be warned: if something goes wrong, you may be stuck for weeks with no clear path to a resolution.
