I am one happy lady living only a mere six minutes from this Target. I'm here on a weekly basis to buy everything from school supplies, holiday decor, grocery staples, and clothes. During a recent trip, I was aimlessly wondering the makeup aisles when a friendly, young employee asked, "Do you need any help?" Why, yes, I need all the help I can get when it comes to makeup. In fact, though I am quickly approaching 40, I have never really figured out the whole makeup thing. So, I told her I really didn't know what brand to buy, and she recommended a popular foundation. She even let me try on two shades and she told me which one blended in better. She then helped me find a concealer and primer. Seriously, I put on that makeup and felt like I looked better than I had in years. I even got carded when I went out that night! So, a MAJOR shout out to the makeup lady who is helping local ladies feel better and younger. I'm a loyalist to Target and will forever be true. read more

The curbside pickup is a nightmare! One poor employee was working alone at the 5pm after work rush. Cars that arrived after me received their orders first, and I had literally one item. I felt bad for the employee but it was a mess! read more

The Guest Services at this store is horrible. Not only do they never, ever answer their phone line to help a customer, they don't answer the phone when other internal departments are trying to reach them. The guest services at this store should switch their name to Unavailable Services. read more

Writing this in the Drive Up parking lot where I've been waiting for an hour because they gave my $200 order to somebody else. Whoopsy doodle topsy turvy. How does someone put a Hello Kitty suitcase and a bunch of six year old birthday party favors into the wrong car? Who ACCEPTS $200 worth of party favors and presents for a six year old along with their groceries? Manager says. "this is happening too much. I'm going to talk to my staff." Large, well-organized Target in the Western Burbs of Chicago. It was clearly custom built for Target recently, having one huge rectangular space, which gives opportunity for reorganization as consumer trends change. Some of the highlights are an optical department, a really big separated section for alcohol (wine and spirits) and plenty of self checkout. The store looked plenty stocked and was able to find and purchase what we needed quickly and effectively. read more

Drove 30 miles to pick up storage bins that were not available locally. When I returned home I realized that I had 4 bins and only 3 lids. I will not make online purchases with Target in the future, too many problems with fulfillment. read more

Not a huge fan of this Target. A lot more expensive than Walmart, but cleaner and has a better fresher vibe than Walmart. They don't have a huge selection of items and I feel as if they could have more. Not to be THAT person, but they didn't have any LGBTQ/Pride month stuff out this year, which new Target policy makes it optional for select locations which this one took a pass on representing human rights this year. They have in the past, but as soon as it's optional, I guess you see their stance on gay people. Otherwise, it's a better place than Walmart but Aldis has my heart for stuff. Ok this is my go to store but something is just off. First off mostly everyone working there has always been very nice to help me. I went there today and wanted to pick up some deli items. This is no joke but there was a sign that said in so many words...Out to lunch. Sorry I missed you. Seriously? The entire Deli department closes down because someone is at lunch? Ever think that maybe the shopper is also on lunch? And Deli manager please note that the prepackaged lunch meat on one of bags of ham in the container directly in front of the Deli Department EXPIRED 2 days ago. Also, and not quite sure how to mention this but there is a spot in the produce department that smells like someone emptied their bladder. I passed it twice, once to the Deli department that wasn't open and again as I headed back through produce. Really shouldn't be that hard to find. read more

I placed an order for drive up to make my shopping experience easier however, I am completely disappointed in the lack of customer service. I placed an order for 3 small items and they took extremely long, ridiculous. Whoever is in charge of the shipping department should definitely step up and have a talk with their team members. The majority of the shelving in the grocery section is filthy dirty! I'm in there frequently. It's been like that for months. I regret to inform the people of Schaumburg this location has pretty consistently been letting us down. Specifically, in the produce department. Multiple times per week, we end up with spoiled produce. It's one thing to have the occasional icky bell pepper, but it's almost every time we buy onions or peppers and sometimes even carrots or lettuce here, the produce is spoiled. It already is annoying that we find spoiled food we just purchased but then at the prices they charge, it simply ticks me off. I have found several expired pantry items on the shelves and typically gather them and give them to a manager but they just say thank you and don't really do anything about it. These are clear oversights by management and employees that really don't care about these small details. As everyone knows, money is tight for every household so it's typically not worth my husband trekking back out to Target to get new peppers and since the produce is spoiled, we'll throw it out to get the smell out of our kitchen and into the garbage cans outside the house. The few times I have called and spoke to the produce manager, they want us to bring the spoiled food back and they will replace it. How inconvenient...to have to send my hubby back and forth. I'm disabled at the moment so he's been doing all the shopping and a lot of the work around the house so simply put, sending him back and forth to target isn't the highest priority so we are throwing money in the garbage. Otherwise, our service is usually really good. We love Target way more than Walmart so we enjoy shopping here but the produce issue has been going on for way too long and we have brought it to management's attention on several occasions without improvement. It's just disappointing seeing as we use them for our pharmacy needs, weekly shopping and feel forced to go to Costco or Mariano's to buy produce. Hopefully this will be read by someone that can try to improve these issues so we can continue to shop Target for all of our general weekly needs. read more

Whoever the main female who works at the Target in West Schaumburg IL and she brings out the groceries for the pick-up and each time she's brought my groceries to my car she doesn't say one word not even an acknowledgment and when she's done loading up my trunk she slams it, and I mean slams it shut. Yesterday 8/8/2023, she was helping a male associate load my car and as he closed my trunk I watched her take out her cell phone and take a picture of my license plate and whisper something to her coworker. So I rolled down my window and asked her if she took a pic of my car upon which she seemed to become very nervous and flustered, started stuttering and told me no, she was taking a pic of another car to which she pointed in the opposite direction but I clearly saw her take a pic of my car. She is rude, unpleasant, does not know how to properly load a car with groceries, and very unprofessional and as long as she works there, I WILL NOT be visiting that target anymore which is a shame because I shop at that location once sometimes twice a week but I'll just have to start going to the one closer to my house. Please fire her. She is making that Target lose customers. read more

This review is about the Target store in Schaumburg at Schaumburg & Barrington roads. Very poor customer service when it comes to order pick up. This store consistently staffs the pick up desk with 1 person. This would be ok if the staff was trained to call for back up when there is a line waiting or they are tied up with a complicated situation. However, this NEVER occurs. I have given this feedback to them repeatedly but nothing changes. Unfortunately, this Target is the closest to my home so I shop here. For the most part, staff are nice but they seem to have no regard for their customer's time. Last week I went to pick up an order and the customer in front of me at the counter had a cart full of items she wanted to change to a different form of payment. This required the rep to talk to a manager and then re-ring the entire order. There happened to be a manager at the pick up counter talking to 2 other employees. I know he was a manager because he is the one the rep went to- to get help. As I stood in line, the manager & 2 employees had a conversation about space utilization....while I waited. No one acknowledged me or stepped in to help me. After standing there for over 5 minutes, a girl from in back came out and helped me. I did mention to her how frustrated I was that the manager & staff never stopped their conversation to assist me. She politely apologized, While she went to get my order, another customer got into line. The manager quickly acknowledged her and said there would be a short wait. Then after a minute of two he stepped up to a register & assisted her. I was furious! When I got home I contacted Customer Service and relayed this entire story to them. I was especially annoyed by the poor customer service role modeled by the manager. Why would the staff demonstrate good customer service when this is the behavior they see from their manager? The C.S. rep promised he would forward this information to the store's leadership team and someone would follow up with me. Well, no surprise- no one contacted me. I went to the store to pick up an order today and same situation. One girl at the counter with a complicated situation. She does not call for back up, but eventually calls for help handling the customer with the complicated situation. She finally helps me and now there are 3 more people waiting in line. Another rep or manager(?) comes by the desk and steps in helping the customers in line. The girl helping me never apologizes for the delay. She hands me the package and never says another word. Once again- crap service. I am extremely disappointed! I have been to other Target stores and not experienced such poor customer service. And, the leadership team at this store does not seem to care. read more

Cons - Target has an huge issue with accurate counts of items available online. I called around to at least ten target stores to find Beat headphones that were on sale and found hope in this location. Adrienne in electronics actually went and checked the shelf and placed the item on hold to be picked up the next day. I drive 30 miles (an hour in total) to pick up and the girl behind the desk (plus size lady with glasses) looked in one drawer and said they didn't have it. She didn't bother to check the back stock room or anything. She was of no help at all. She should be in a dept with NO customer contact. Pro Finally fed up, I asked for a manager. Out comes Eric (team leader) who was very compassionate and helpful. He went to the stock room to look and came back to offer a raincheck because they didn't have it. He said he didn't know if and when they would restock. He offered an alternative solution and I left the store very happy. Please hire more employees like Eric who value customers and go the extra mile. Thank you, Eric! read more

I was in the Chicago/Schaumburg area to visit my son who recently moved there. We had been on vacation across the U.S. for the two weeks before . On this day, I accidentally sat on my eyeglasses in the motel and was devastated to see I broke them - the nylon string that holds the lenses in snapped! I'm totally blind without them!! Target Optical happened to open at 9am on a Saturday and saved my day!!! I have no idea what I would've done. I wasn't even sure if they could be fixed. The wonderful woman fixed them, cleaned them and didn't charge me a dime. I was in awe! She seriously is my hero. Nothing scarier than not being able to see and not know what to do! This is, by far, the worst Target in the area. The employees are barely trained, don't care about the "guests", and the service desk staff is rude. Lines at cash registers often are 6 or 7 people long, while managers stand around watching and calling for "backup" on their walkie talkies, which never arrives. If the staff is not bad enough, this store regularly uses peak store hours on weekends to fill shelves, blocking aisles with their flatbeds and carts, making it impossible to navigate the store. They also clearly do not care about customer calls, as at most hours the phone is on "night answer" mode, sending a loud ding over the store intercoms instead of to an operator. I would rather spend more money at any other store in the area than visit this target again. I have given them the benefit of the doubt too many times. read more

Its less crowded out here because people in the burbs will just stop by after work instead of waiting until the weekend to do shopping trips. This is the perfect Target to stroll around when you a) absolutely need to get out of the house as the sub-zero temps have rendered you a hermit the last three weeks and b) you have a helluva shopping list. It's Super Target - so you'll find a full grocery section, Starbucks and pretty much anything under the sun. The store itself is huge, thus providing ample opportunity to shop for anything you might need and likely many things you don't. I found the shelves nicely organized and well stocked, exactly what you might seek in a superstore. While this isn't the closest Tar-jay to mi casa, it's a solid stop if I need to pick up a few (or fifty) things. read more

Target.com in store pick up doesn't work at this location. Staff does NOT set aside your items and therefore when you come to pick up your stuff it is out of stock. Instead of transferring to a store that DOES have the items they prefer to cancel the entire order and have you place the order again for the other location. Unhelpful employees. read more

Target, Tarje, whatever you call it. It's fabulous. This is my go to Target based on its proximity to my apt. The best thing about this Target is that there is hardly a wait to check out. Unpopular opinion - Not a fan of the remodel. I found it extremely difficult to find what I was looking for and none of the employees took the time to ask if I needed some help (and I was clearly lost and wandering all over the place). The remodel is visually appealing, but I personally don't feel like the layout makes sense.
