I call to make sure they are not sold out of gingerbread houses so I don't walk in for no reason. I call and ask, "Do you still have gingerbread house kits in stock?" They say yes, I still ask again to make sure, "You're positive they're not sold out?" She says yes again. So I walk into the store looking for it, I can't find it so I ask a worker. He says, "Oh no I'm sorry we don't have any left in stock, we've been sold out for a while now." REALLY? Slightly higher prices than the Dublin store, but it is convenient, cheap food that's always available. My weight increased when they expanded the food section & you would do well to live farther away unless your anorexic. My favorite place ever. I go to target all the time and it's always "dangerous" to walk into with money because I always end up spending it! They always have cute clothing items, and I love that they sell groceries there as well! The store is always clean and the workers there are always happy and helpful! There is also a Starbucks in there as well which is awesome! They do sell beer, wine, and hard alcohol for anyone who thinks they don't, no need to make another trip to the liquor store! The dollar section is also fun to go through, a bunch of little knick knacks and it keeps the kids happy and busy as well! read more

-This is my local Target, so I'm there 2-3/week and I know it WELL -I'm a 40-something mom of 3 young kids, so I buy a lot of essentials + the random junk -I'm not OK waiting in line for over 20 minutes (with a baby hanging off my chest) and two active little ones hanging off my cart -I don't like rude, unnecessary sarcasm or an unhelpful response from people being paid to help -If you are getting paid to help, please be prepared to help, not stand around and observe ...I've been been shopping here since it opened. It has really gone downhill over the past year. Partially because Target corporate had the ingenious idea to treat us like cattle by opening self-checkout lines and only keeping 1-2 lanes open regardless of the demand. There are always employees lurking around the front end who literally do nothing (perhaps ensuring your don't sneak a 10 cent bag?). Asking them to open an additional lane will get you a blank stare. The other reason this place has become funky is because of some key employees who will probably never leave. They are the old-timers who feel it is entirely acceptable to be sarcastic and rude with a smile. Tony (old man with Toe-Knee on his name tag) is always so sarcastic that I refuse to go to his line if I have my kids with me. If a coupon doesn't work, then be prepared to wait until he has slowly flipped through every page of the weekly circular for the promotional fine print. If you beat him to the punch with a photo of the promotion/shelf tag then be prepared for full retail-wrath. He will lower his jaw, peer over his reading glasses, and make your 15 minute checkout total hell by not completing the transaction and calling the supervisor over to approve any Cartwheel or coupon you use. Be good to yourself and just avoid him. Bernadette is another colorful cashier whose intense passive-aggressiveness can either be irritating or mildly amusing (if you're into watching self-destruction). There's also another red-headed male cashier who is just bizarre. He consistently always says inappropriate comments about my young girls' appearance (all under the age of 6)...example, said my 4 year old looked liked she was "having a baby." Really?!? Otherwise, the selection is good and there are a couple of good managers (who I have come to know since the cashiers manage to make my Target "run" a slow crawl). read more

I feel like no one can hate on Target. It's Target, they have everything. While customer service can differ from store to store, I always find what I need (and more) when I visit. The San Ramon store is my local favorite, as they always have items in stock, tend to receive new seasonal items before other stores around the area, and keep the store clean and well maintained. The staff have always been friendly to me as I go about my shopping, and they do their best to keep lines as short as possible during busy times. This location also has a Starbucks inside which is another plus. :) read more

I used to work at this Target years and years ago. Things have changed. Not for the better. By changing I mean the employees have gotten very lazy compared to a few years ago! The last few times I've been at this Target I've needed help finding something and I ask an employee. They NEVER know anything. They just make guesses. When I didn't know where something was I always called on the walkie talkie and asked another employee who might know or I would check on my small electric thing (don't know the name)...it had information on all stalk. Do the employees not even carry any of these necessary items anymore or do they just not want to look because they are lazy? Regardless, they don't even try to help us look or anything. I generally avoid this location because of this reason. I usually go to both Dublin locations. They are much better! read more

Don't buy mascara here. The sale price is never picked up at the Register. The first time this happened a few months ago, I thought it was a fluke. A sale tag was still up, but the sale was over. A few days ago, I look at the price, it says $6.99 but when I looked at my receipt, it was $8.29. No sale tag this time, just the regular sticker to show you the price. I should have checked my receipt before leaving, but then I would have had to go to customer service to get the $1.40. That's too much trouble for just buying something at the advertised price. Once a fluke, but the second time on the same product is just false advertising. read more

The problem here is, within the target, I am not sure who is responsible to the mobile department. I had problem, after I talked to the customer service, I was provided a mobile contractor phone number to call. As I called, they insist I should talk to the store manager, rather than them since it is still the store manager manage the department. Then I call the store manager, I was told she is not responsible for the mobile department. If I need to send complains either for target wrong practice, or the mobile department, I need to call the corresponding phone number. So I am running the cycle here. My suggestion is make sure which department in the store is contracted out, and don't buy anything from such department. Once you have problem, you will find you are running in a cycle and no one will help you resolve it. read more

I bought a fan from them and a week later it broke.. i took it back to them and didnt have my receipt anymore, they refused to do anything about it and the asian lady at the customer service just walked away and completely ignored me while i was trying to talk to her. this is by far my fav target store in the east bay area!! hell it's target great land and it has it all. it's also way too dangerous for me to get anything here because a lil something turns out to be a big something on my credit card. they have everything i need and more of what i dont need but i tend to buy anyway. friendly staff and the shelves are always stocked full of goodness. thank god this place closes at 10pm or i'd be soooo damn broke. they have grocery and everything u would expect from a target store. if they sold jager and cigs i would live there!! lol read more

I am a frequent customer at this Target store. While it's not the biggest or most well stocked Target I've been too (the reason I have given four stars instead of five), the employees are the best and really do try and make things right for customers. I rarely have problems there, but the two times that I have, I have been lucky that Coleen has been working and resolved things quickly for me both times. One time in particular a few months ago, it was my son's birthday and Coleen and her team went above and beyond to make him feel special, after a mix up over birthday balloons. They gave him VIP treatment and made him feel very special. Another employee that makes this store special is Karen; she is very fast and efficient on the register and seems to know 90% of customers by name! She is always so friendly and chats to me and my kids, so much so, that my toddlers always ask if they will see their friend Karen when we head there :) The employees are the reason I come to this store rather than the Dublin location, five stars for them. read more

I absolutely dislike this Target. People are inconsiderate and rude. Many of the customers are so stingy and think they own the joint or something. I have came here a couple times and each visit I left super annoyed. Shoppers need to learn to not leave their carts in the middle of the aisle because guess what?! Other people need to get through too! I would love to give this Target more stars because it is nice but unfortunately I can't stand the fact that people are so inconsiderate and snobby here. This store is beyond disgusting! The bathrooms are so gross you don't want to touch anything; over half of the toilet stalls are overrun with toilet paper and unflushed waste. The shopping carts are blocking the exit of the store. I understand a little chaos during the remodel, but if you can't offer service safely and keep the store open, you should consider closing until it has been remodeled. read more

This is the best Target out of the whole bunch in the Bay Area. Target is the first place I think of when I need something. The aisles are always stocked, the grocery prices are comparable to some grocery stores, and their seasonal items are always worth a look at. The best part of this Target is that it does not have the same weekend crowds as other Targets! You can go there on a Sunday afternoon and not have to wait in long lines like other Targets. read more

My wife loves this Greatland Target. It has to be the best Target store I have ever been to.

Whenever I go here I always find what I want and at reasonable price too. It's hard to walk out under $20 sometimes. I get all my undergarmets and socks here for cheap and I get great service when needed. I haven't bought food at this particular location except for Starbucks and it was fantastic. I will continue coming here for a long time. read more

This review is specifically for the PHARMACY at this Target location. You can read the my review of the ABSOLUTE disgrace that CVS pharmacy on San Ramon Blvd in Danville is. This pharmacy is MUCH farther from where I live, but the difference is like BLACK AND WHITE! I swear, this pharmacy has, with one minor exception, been COMPLETELY PERFECT in EVERY WAY every time I have gone there, which I have been doing for some time now and finding a business that is able to maintain a standard like that is TRULY rare and I don't state that lightly! Why is everyone standing in line at CVS when I can just breeze through the Target pharmacy? I'm not complaining! read more

I usually shop at the Walnut Creek Target, but I was heading back on the 680 and decided to stop by the San Ramon instead. Glad I did! This Target is huge! I just had surgery a couple months back so I am still re-learning how to walk and using a cane. Luckily, Target had the driving carts for me to use. The aisles are really big so shopping is pretty easy and convenient in this store (which I really appreciated). The staff was very friendly as well. I accidentally purchased something I didn't mean to, brought it to Guest Services and they returned it so quickly. I wish I had more time to spend at this Target....but I definitely wanna come back! read more

My review is for Target Tech at this location. Poorly staffed with new/non-supervisory employees on a weekday. Matt Collins, the manager, is condescending, interjects while the customer is speaking, and fails to provide sensible solutions. We received a defective device (confirmed by both the manufacturer and our carrier's technician). Well within the return policy's timeframe and guidelines, neither Target Tech employee knew the process to return a device purchased at this location. Afterwards, we went directly to our carrier and purchased two more expensive devices without hassle. The Target gift card promotion is absolutely not worth the inconvenience and shortage of accountability. read more

I haven't been in since Christmas shopping where the store looked ransacked. I went in yesterday to buy a board game and the store looked pretty much the same. The isle marked hair care had no hair care on it. The game isle looked as if it were looted. I remembered I needed an iphone holder for the air vent on my car so I went up to the young man behind the counter and asked for an iphone holder that clips onto the vent, he said "NO but you can find one on the automotive isle. So I went back looked found nothing and returned suspecting that he might have one and he might just be a clueless by the hour, vacume on society. I was correct and I found one just below were he was standing as I reached for it he asked if I found one and I said "Ya, right here on your display." His answer was well I thought you might want the suction cup one for the dash board better and they are on the automotive isle. I looked at him puzzled and answered back, "But...I asked for this, specifically for this." He replied, "We also have one that fits in the cup holder." I answered, "I'd be interested in seeing that." He just stood there, I looked at him like well?, nothing just blankness. It was like he was having a contest with someone else at Target to see who could give the worst service. So I put it back left the board game on his counter and went to Osh and picked up the iphone holder and ordered the board game on line from Amazon....., for $4.00 less! read more

The only Target around with non thugish looking people in it. I do agree with another reviewer about getting eye'd as a theif for being a male under 30 and shopping here. I come in here weekly or every other week. They should know my MO by now. 3 years since I've live in SR. One time, security in uniform was tailing me. I was buying about $200 from the health/phram section. I had to use up all of my FSA money. Plus, I picked up a prescription before I started adding stuff to my basket, they could easily find out who I was if I were a theif. But I guess I was suspect to them. They also have a Chase branded ATM inside. No need to go to the Chase bank which is pretty far. $400 is the limit and the machine is very slow. One time it didn't spit out any money and said not completed on machine and on reciept. Account later said it was withdrawn. A simple call to Chase yeilded a refund. So becareful with this machine. read more

If you value customer service, then this is probably not the store for you. Go to the Target in Dublin instead, and you will likely have a much better experience. If the customer service experience doesn't matter to you, these stores are all pretty much the same, just as they are designed to be. read more

This store offers lots of selection, BUT don't EVER buy electronics here. I bought an Apple iTouch for my son with a "replacement plan". Of course, he dropped it and it broke and then I was told the plan wasn't actually a replacement plan, but really a service plan and they couldn't help me. Walmart has a great replacement plan & would have honored what they sold. Even after I complained that the sales person promised me the iTouch would be replaced if it was broken, they refused to help. Buy toilet paper, soap or food here--BUT NEVER buy a high priced item or their "replacement plan"! read more
