I live about a few blocks away from here. So, I come here almost every weekend.
I am not sure how Target trains their employees here, but strange events happened while I was here.
1. I was looking for Benadryl anti-itch cream because my sister's finger was stung by a bee. I was looking for it at the allergy medicine section. I couldn't find it, so I asked an employee to see if there's Benadryl for allergy. She told me about the allergy medicine. Then, I asked if there's another kind. And, she said another kind like what (unhappy tone) and stared at me with her big and angry eyes. Of course, I became upset too and I said it's ok, thanks. I found the cream at the next isle. Could she not suggest something else by Benadryl? She is so rude.
2. The cashier rang up the wrong price for the apples I bought. The transaction was already done, so I didn't go back to the cashier, but went to the return dept instead. I told the staff that the price was such and he just adjusted the price and gave me refund. I like that because that means Target values "customer is right."
3. Well, "customer is right" somehow does not apply to the cashier dept. I bought Gala apples (64 cents each). At first, he rang it up for 87 cents per apple (Fuji apple's price). I didn't realize it was wrong, but I did some math in my head thinking he rang it up for two apples at a time. But no, I just bought three apples. So, I told him about it when I was about to slide my credit card. I said, "Hmm I am just curious if the apple is not 64 cents each?" Then, he said, "Oh?" and rang it up for 67 cents each (Grannys apple's price). Then, I said, "I really think it's 64 cents each." I turned to my sister and asked her, "It's 64 cents each, right?" She said, "I think so." The cashier still didn't believe me. He asked another employee if it was 67 cents each. He said, "yeah usually is, " but he also looked at the code on our apple and typed it into the register. Guess what, the register brought up 64 cents for the apple (Gala apple), which is the correct price. The cashier was, I think, pissed off. He asked the other employee, "what was the code again? I didn't see you type it in." The other employee said it, but he still didn't hear it. So, he took our apple and dropped one!
I mean, come on. What's wrong with you? First, you are wrong and now, you are pissed off?
I was going to let it go with 67 cents, but it's the fact that he didn't believe me that made me mad! Can't he at least run to where I got the apples from and check the price instead of punching in the wrong price the second time?
I should have gotten your name, you rude cashier!
I have been a frequent Target shopper. These two employees have made my shopping experience unpleasant at this location. I hope I don't bump into them too often. read more
