One of the better, newer and cleaner Targets in the area. In short, it was my favorite, but the staff service has been hit-or-miss lately. I have had really friendly service here before, which were more common when Target first opened. However, in recent visits, my cashier did not even greet me with a 'hello, hi, thank you, or anything'. Instead, she just looked right at me, and rang me up. Hmm, this, I was not used to from Target. I have been waiting what seems like forever for this Target to open up! I work right down the street and I just LOVE Target. Its my go place for all my baby and home needs, they always got the most cutest things! I came here on the 3rd day that they opened. This Target is HUGE compared to my Target location on Landess. The place has a pharmacy, grocery store, STARBUCKS, and of course their little eatery with a Pizza Hut, did I mention STARBUCKS?! I'll def. be coming here for my regular coffee run, it's less crowded and way more parking than the Starbucks down 1st street. I was greeted when I walked thru the front entrance, and they have workers in every department, always making sure they can assist you if need be. Great Customer service! I would think so because it's very new, but whatever I love my Target visits here.. I would def. drive the extra couple minutes just to get to this location! read more

You are the devil.. To open so close to work that I can go everyday for anything I need in a fly.. My wallet hates you, but.. It'll just have to accept the fact that our relationship is far deeper than any other target and person.. This is just Target people, so it's not likely to expect more/less from others besides the following: Only 1 floor, but everything is spread out so you will be able to get anything you want/need. I love this Target. Large, spacious, roomy store and I love the look of that 3 wheeled security vehicle that is parked in the store's front exit area. Looks like a fun vehicle....yeah, yeah, yeah. I know its for security purposes I'm just saying it looks like it would be fun to ride so don't misunderstand what I'm saying...no, I'm not going to take off on it. I'm just saying I like it...hehehe... Fairly new store that has been open for about the last six months or so. Plenty of parking. Plenty of shopping carts. In store Starbucks Coffee. Hecka check out stations. Clean, spacious women's bathroom with a hand dryer that will have you thinking prepare for lift off...5,4,3,2,1...Houston we have 'lift off'. Their bathroom hand dryers are an incredible 'wind tunnel' experience for the hands. read more

Too bad the large wall of groceries took away retail space, all the other dept got smaller by comparison to non-grocery Target stores. Nice new Target - really clean and organized. A little bit too overstaffed though so that freaks me out from time to time. Always loads of cashiers ready to ring you up which is a plus. I LOVE THIS TARGET!!! The only thing that sucks here is right by Milpitas and it smells like crap...like poo But this target is HUGE and clean (most of the time), the people there are really nice and if you ask them a question, they dont just brush you off and tell you to find someone else. Finally a target in the North 1st Street area! The best thing about this target is they are creating a strip mall complex next door which is going to have multiple restaurants and one of the first chick-fil-a's in the San Jose area! read more

Watch out, fellow Target-goers. The cashier that checked us out mumbled something to my husband and I, but we couldn't hear him. Finally, when he repeated himself he said, 'That lady (referring to the lady who was in front of us) was nasty so I put her things in the wrong bags.' BIG NO NO, Mr. Young Man. So unprofessional. It was our first time to this location. We weren't impressed by what the store carries - definitely prefer the one in downtown Sunnyvale where we go most often. And the cashier's comment was bad! First, you don't talk crap about customers to other customers. Second, you shouldn't be doing mean things to customers and third, don't tell other customers about those mean things! Get a clue!!! I love target! And now that this location has opened near my house I love them even more. This target Is easily accessible from 237 and always has tons of parking. It also has a Starbucks inside. I love the kids section, especially snacks and foods. They always seem to have a bigger selection than other target locations. Customer service desk employees are very courteous. I took away 1 star cause the produce isn't very good, but I think that's true for most targets. read more

They deserves no stars from the way they treated me last night. Goodness graceless! They were very rude and unprofessional and I have been to many Targets in my lifetime and this one is THE WORST! I was treated so poorly by the stock staff and the front end as well, I think they don't care about their customers...only about their profits cause they denied my legitimate return with tags and receipt which I had the item in a week and was brand new....They were so unjust in the way they handled MY SIMPLE TRANSACTION that that I believe it wasn't Target's standards at all...They just DON'T WANT THE HIT!!! Now that Target has food, this is my go-to place before I go home after work for eggs, bananas, simply lemonade raspberry flavor, and whole wheat pasta. Cheaper than Safeway at Rivermark. I think for this new location, they are sending people coupons in the mail every other week for free loaf of bread, a dozen eggs, bag of chips, etc. I like how Target places the cards/giftcards in the front so you can zip in and out of there when you're in a hurry! This location has a Starbucks and Target food vendor as well. read more

If there is ever a way that can make Target even better...it will be a Target without any crowds. Since this one has recently opened in the past few months, I went here to check it out on a weekend and to my surprise, the crowds were not extreme and there wasn't a lot of super long lines everywhere. I stlll don't think that a lot of people know about this Target yet! I searched for this place on Google Maps and this Target doesn't even show up on the map screen. This is my favorite Target, ever! Hands down, feet down, shopping cart down, REDcard down, whatever! Although there's a Walmart literally in my work's backyard, I avoid it all costs and will go out of my way to come here if I ever need anything. Walmart is just disgusting, I'm just saying what you're thinking, alright? This Target is so fresh, so huge and so clean. Even the floors are always so sparkly white! I went back to Target last night to stock up on an unadvertised deal. $5 Target gift card when you buy 10 selected Italian and Mexican food items. Originally, I just wanted pasta noodles. Then I saw refried beans were part of this deal, and thought they would pair perfectly with the Costco pack of flour tortillas I bought earlier this week. While I was there, I ALSO picked up Kashi cereal, red velvet cake mix, tomato paste and food storage containers, etc. You know, that Target effect. Can't stop into Target without buying a bunch of other stuff (that I didn't need). At check-out, I didn't even have to unload my cart - just hand one of each item to the checker and tell him how many to ring up. He tricked me actually, because he saved himself from having to bag my groceries! haha, how clever! read more

Love this location! This will be my new "local" (ish) Target! It's new, it's big, it's located right off the freeway on my way home... what more could I ask for? Well, I didn't have to ask! They have an excellent selection of items here too. Their shelves were stocked just a couple days before Christmas - gotta love it! I filled my cart with last minute gifts that I was sure will be well recieved. I count on Target stores often for everything from groceries, toilet paper, eyeliner, or a cute new sundress to wear to the beach. it's nice to know that I have another one I can count on! I'm not gonna say it's that much more interesting than other Targets you have known, but this one is on my way home from work and since it's only about a year old, there's never really much of a line at the pharmacy. I was ridiculously happy to be able to ditch the Rivermark Safeway for my pill needs. The grocery section is in the back -- they know you're gonna pick up a bunch of other random crap on your way back there to grab something quick for dinner. But that's your own fault. read more

I totally love this Target. It was fairly recently opened, so everything is sparkling new here. The parking lot is big, never had to wait to find a parking spot. The store is big and they are well-staffed at the counter so that one doesn't have to wait in a long time to check out your items. The store has grocery at well; not that I love to do my grocery at Target, but I have certainly bought basic grocery from here. It helped me avoid driving a few extra miles to find another grocery store. They stopped using plastic bags since Jan 2012. Al though I know that it not the most convenient thing (especially if you forget to bring your own tote bag), I do still support the "save-a-tree" cause, so no grousing! Also, they sell tote bags for a dollar or so. read more

Far and away the cleanest, most well laid-out Target I have ever visited. I sometimes work at one of my company's offices that is less than a minute away if you drive but had never come to purchase anything before today, when I just really needed a bottle of Aleve. I never really have liked how the beauty products are closer to the registers than the pharmacy is, so operating under the assumption that all Targets are the same, I breezed on by the pain reliever aisle. When I realized I didn't know where I was going in a supreme way, I turned and saw that all my Target dreams were coming true before my very eyes - THANK YOU for putting every elixir or potion that anyone could ever need right near the registers. I grabbed some candy on the way out and dropped the proverbial mic on this Target trip. read more

yes, the santa clara area has been booming with all the "super" targets all around, including the one being renovated on morrill avenue in san jose. i thought the one that would be tough to beat was the sunnyvale/w. mckinley location. alas, target on w. mckinley has met it's match - or has been beaten! YAY! of course it's a given to expect organized shelves, well stocked items, and over the top friendly customer service, but this target went above and beyond that. being that i never really tire of target, and i was just at my local target yesterday which is pretty cool in itself but undergoing renovations, which will make it much cooler than it is, i must say the stock at target's san jose north is plentiful, awesome, and just plain WOW. why is this target SO much better? because in the last 3 targets i've visited the past couple weeks, NONE of them carried as many trinkets, food choices by different vendors (think mini whole foods section), clothing (paul frank and hello kitty choices are phenomenal here), and the coolest: hard core liquor. that's right. forget safeway. forget costco crowds. you can now purchase your jack daniels, grey goose, sky vodka and more. bacardi (yuck to me, but yum to others..). SO. MANY. CHOICES. but, if it's too out of your way (237 freeway, exit north first street, make a left), you should check it out. it's like the target for dukes and duchesses. really :D but, i'll update around Christmas time. we'll see how they hold up by then! worth a mention: STARBUCKS to the left, upon entry. there is this team of workers there, most notably, "phoebe" (spell?), who is fast, friendly and they made my drink sooooooooooo good. sigh. just divine. This Target is WAAAYY better than the one on Coleman. There's less people on a weeknight and they're more stocked. Still clean and organized too. Last night, I came here after I went to the Coleman one since they didn't have half the stuff that I needed. This place had my shoe size and all the other stuff that I was shopping for. Much more pleasant to walk around. They actually had stuff that the other store didn't have and some of the prices were even cheaper! read more

This Target is right down the street from me, so I make pretty frequent trips. It's fairly clean and new and has a Starbucks inside. Parking is ample and the employees are always friendly. On the downside, I don't think they have quite the selection that some of the other stores do. They did not carry the Jason Wu collection (not that it would have lasted more than 4 minutes anyway) and don't seem to restock anything too often. There are also often solicitors of some sort outside, which can be kind of annoying. They do have a pharmacy but the hours aren't really that great. As others have mentioned, they don't give you plastic bags and charge 10 cents for paper, but please don't blame the store. It's a city ordinance and they're just doing their job! read more

If you need it, Target has it...groceries to electronics--and their prices are a bargain too. I always turn to Target when I need house products, electronics, books, and yes, sometimes even clothes as they have a pretty decent line of clothing that can go a long way if you are looking for a deal. I love love love this Target!! Around Christmas time, I came to this target to do some Christmas shopping, (especially a couple of days before Christmas), and this place was NOT busy at all. To this day, no matter what time of day I go and do my shopping, this Target is NEVER busy, and I LOVE IT! There is plenty of parking spots, they have the newer/sturdier carts, the aisles are wider than some Targets I've been to, this place is ALWAYS clean, the employees always ask me if I need help finding anything, there's a Starbucks inside the store, they practically have a grocery in-house, and a major plus: ITEMS ARE ALWAYS STOCKED! I live really close to another Target, but after comparing this Target to the one by me, I'll be coming here from now on, even if I have to drive a bit. read more

He didn't just pass me over to some, he went and got what I needed. Now that is customer service! It's nice that its fairly new and the lines are always fast. I'm always in and out quickly.
