I always thoght all the Targets are same, you shop no one bothers you. So, I had lunch in Rowland heights and went into this Target for shopping to avoid the heavy traffic hours. It was about 4pm.
I was looking for a squeegee, after I moved to my new place where we had glass door in our bathroom, and some baby clothes for I was 6 months almost 7 months pregnant.
I stopped at the Cleaning supplies department and wasn't able to find a squeegee. so i picked up the red phone and called the operator to have them send someone to help me look for it. They sent me a young kid after 5 min of wait. He wasn't sure what a squeegee was so i had to describe what it was for, cleaning mirror and the car windshield. So, he asked me if it was a mop. I told him it is not a mob, it is made of rubber. he told me he know what it is now, go to the Auto part department. I walked there myself because he had to go back to do whatever he was doing. Walking across to the other side of the store after hours of shopping and driving is not easy for me. I couldn't find a squeegee and i wondered he was picturing the wrong item in his head. So, i walked back to the Cleaning supplies department to seek help again. In my mind, i was pretty sure i should be able to find a squeegee there. Here he comes again, i told him no squeegee over there. He said he was sure and wanted me to follow him.
The worst part is, I felt that he blamed this on me for not finding a squeegee that never existed in the AUTO department. I was walking as fast as i could and he kinda walk and stop walk and stop like i was taking too much of his time. Then he said, "you should have someone come with you." I forgave his naive, he didn't know what he was talking about. This time i had to take off my shoes. I was so exhausted. He went to the aisle and handed me a mop!!! I looked into his eyes and asked him if he knew what a squeegee is?! He said he knows. Then he started looking at the price tags to see where it was located and finally handed me a yellow tag with $14.99 on it. Said it was a squeegee but it was sold out. Nothing on the tag said it was a squeegee. I asked him how he know it was the tag of the squeegee? He asked me what made me think they had it. i said i saw it online. He replied, "then you should get the code or I cannot find it for you." I asked him, "Do you even carry a squeegee in the store? If you dont know, can you ask someone who knows?" I am pretty mad at that moment! He gave me a dirty look and said, "i know what i am doing. It is sold out" he put the tag back and he walked away.
The 3rd time, i walked back to the Cleaning supplies department and found an Asian girl. I stopped her and asked, "Do you have squeegees here? Do you know what a squeegee is?" She said yes and leaded me to the aisle. Of course, she walked much faster than me. Then the next moment, she found me 2 squeegees and asked me which one I wanted. She said they were under some brooms and kinda hidden. I thanked her so much and told her why they sent me that stupid guy and made me walked across the store 2 times and gave me an attitude. She felt very bad because she was the one who told him to come over and explained he worked at the Auto department and thought he knew all the items there.
I wanted to throw the squeegee at the mexican guy called Walter. Oh well, he is just a kid. But i will never go back to this store again! read more
