The manager Darren so hostile rude and refused to help us in the handicap designated cashier. He sent us to the very end of the line. We were never treated like this here at this store.

    Shopping for work....

While I was in quarantines earlier this year, I've been itching to go shopping but got nowhere to go because no discount stores as such this was open back in March/2020!!!! Voila, we stumbled upon this brand name discount store shortly after they opened for 4 days due to CoVid19, finally opened back up about a couple weeks ago. So making This another long overdue review. I've enjoyed spending time in stores such as TJ Maxx due to its sharp discounts for Outlet style brands such as Calvin Klein, Dooney & Burke, Kate Spade...etc to name a few. Of course, they carry more brands than these. I can literally spend hours in this local discount store because of the variety of beyond household items they carry: handbags, clothing, shoes and kitchen ware. From this first shopping trip back, I've scored a new Calvin Klein bag for work: very decent in size and shoulder straps were sturdy. The only issue was since it was after CoVid19 fiasco, I had to sanitize the bag after I brought it home; thank goodness it was a waterproof shoulder bag as well. (Will add a pic later). Will most likely return here again soon~lots of local shoppers immediately returned after store re-opening. W2G, Walnut.

    $1.99 each! Such a steal.

I'm glad that they have an Amazon return booth, which is very convenient, efficient, and trustworthy because Amazon refunds me immediately. The Kohl's staff will give you the return tracking proof with the coupon to shop at Kohl's. Their stuff is usually not cheap, or they charge a higher price without sales, promotion deals, or coupons. However, if you have the Kohl's app with Kohl's Cash and coupons, then you can get a very good deal. Another tip is that I have the Capital One Kohl's Rewards Visa card, and I always use this card to pump gas. You get 7.5% in Kohl's rewards on Kohl's purchases every day, and 3% in Kohl's rewards on gas, 2% in Kohl's rewards at grocery stores, and 1% for other purchases. My daughters bought 2 pairs of jeans today, and guess how much I paid? I only paid less than $7 because I have my Kohl's Cash for $25 in the app, and I also have an instant $10 off when you spend $25 or more in-store & online coupon (expires on June 29, 2025). It's such a steal. My daughters could not believe it. Also, we like to shop at the Sephora inside the Kohl's. They now have the self-checkout, which is another plus for shoppers like me. I like self-checkout and applying coupons and Kohl's cash myself. The layout is so much better than before.

BEWARE of amazon returns at Kohl's make sure you take TIMESTAMPED PHOTOS of ALL your returns so you don't get charged for Kohl's mistake or theft.

At this…read moreBurlington location, customers are forced to enter and exit through a roped barrier system that immediately makes you feel confined. You cannot simply walk in or walk out. You are physically funneled into a controlled area, and in order to leave, you have to wait until a loss prevention employee notices you and opens the barrier. As shown in the photo, the employee wasn't even paying attention, and I had to actively get her attention just to be allowed to exit the store. That is not normal, and it is not okay. Walking in already felt wrong. I genuinely thought the store was closed because someone had to open the barrier for me to enter. That alone set off alarms. Walking out was worse. Standing there, blocked by a rope, waiting to be acknowledged so I could leave a public retail store felt degrading and uncomfortable. No customer should feel trapped, monitored, or controlled just to exit a store. Whether or not receipts are checked is irrelevant. The issue is the loss of basic autonomy. I should be able to come in and out freely, period. I am not blaming the employees personally. This is clearly a policy and leadership issue. But policies reflect the values of a business, and this setup says a lot. It communicates distrust, hostility, and a complete lack of respect for customers. I've shopped at Burlington for years and never experienced anything like this at older locations. This feels like a sharp decline in standards and customer dignity. This is not how a respectable business operates. The environment feels tense, unwelcoming, and frankly embarrassing for a retail brand. Being forced to wait for permission to leave made me feel lumped into a category I don't belong in, and I will not accept that treatment as a customer. This setup alone tells me everything I need to know about the direction of this store. People deserve to be warned. If you are okay with being herded into a barrier, waiting to be noticed, and feeling confined just to leave a store, then maybe this place won't bother you. For me, this experience was enough to make sure I don't come back. It's unacceptable, and it should seriously concern anyone who values being treated with basic respect. It's very unfortunate because like I said this Burlington in the old store was a staple growing up because of the selection and value. You can always find good deals.

Like most discount stores, there are items everywhere and sometimes it can be overwhelming. I walked almost the entire store until I found the section for the item I was looking for. The aisles are narrow, very narrow, especially on the right side of the store. I don't think a shopping cart can even go through some of them. Even when I was in one of the aisles, a shopping cart was coming towards me, but there was no way for them to go around me (or vice versa), so I just ended up exiting the aisle on the opposite end. I had not shopped at a Marshalls in a long time so I was not sure what to expect in terms of quality, brand name items. There were a few items that caught my eye, but other than that, it was pretty average. Like any discount store, sometimes there are not many options in terms of size and quantity. One needs to spend time to search and find. I wanted to purchase 2 of the same item, but after searching, I only found the one item, which was still better than none. The checkout line was quite long for a weekday lunch time, but it moved pretty quickly. They now no longer provide shopping bags, so make sure to bring your own or pay $0.10 for a paper shopping bag. As I was shopping, I saw many employees restocking and etc. Parking are one-way aisles. We'd go here almost every weekend before he moved away and couldn't drive anymore. Moving on, this is a solid Walmart Supercenter. There's a deli and hot foods section, a bakery section, there's a section for camping and fishing, an automotive section, outdoors gardening section, pharmacy, and photos for passports and developing photos. It can get super busy here, especially since they have their own gas station now and the fact that it's near a super busy intersection and near freeway exits. I usually try to park at the periphery since there's o many people. Don't get me started on the past Black Friday's that I've shopped here (only to get a touch lamp). It can get super disorganized in here, again, with a lot of people and items being picked up and placed any which way. Many Walmarts don't have the item price scanner anymore (not sure if this one does, but I couldn't easily find any and this may be a ploy to get workers to interact with people, eugh). I'm also not a fan of self check out not having Apple Pay tap to pay and instead a QR code to scan, opens your Walmart account and checks out. Might have just been my lane only, but fairly annoying. Not a fan of these upgrades and prefer how things were, but I guess that goes with the changing of times. Being greeted immediately by a security guard sets the tone and not in a reassuring way. The layout is so poorly designed that getting to the men's section means squeezing past the cashier area like you're cutting through a barricade. I went on a Saturday night and the store looked completely overwhelmed. Clothes on the floor, aisles blocked, random items everywhere, and this sense of clutter that makes you want to walk right back out. With Walmart now closed, this place has taken a turn for the worse and the parking lot has its own issues. Local Facebook groups have had people reporting stolen tires and other shady activity, so even stepping outside doesn't feel great. Inside, loss prevention was circling around asking if we were finding everything OK, which felt more intrusive than helpful. When I finally got in line, the cashier called me over before she even finished checking out the person ahead of me, making the whole process feel rushed and disorganized. While she was ringing us up, she was already calling the next person, invading personal space and creating unnecessary pressure. Then not even ten feet away another loss prevention employee insisted on checking my receipt despite watching the entire transaction happen and knowing exactly what I purchased. It didn't feel like safety or professionalism, just disorganized low level chaos that leaves a bad taste. The only redeeming part of this visit was finding a pair of shoes at a good price, which is the only reason I bother stopping by. But overall this location feels unsafe, unkempt, and mismanaged. There is so much potential for improvement but it continues to decline each time I go. One star because the experience is honestly horrible.
