We went to this Target in West Covina at around 2:30 p.m. today, which is Friday, and it had a lot of people. We couldn't believe that we lined up for more than 15 minutes at check-out. We saw that only one cash register was available. The self-checkout also had more than 10 people waiting, and we had a lot of stuff, so we did not go to the self-checkout. I spent an abhorrent amount of time without anyone helping or acknowledging my existence in the electronic section. Considering it was a quiet day in a store with not much guest foot traffic on a weekday afternoon. I pressed all three help buttons in the back of the store and had employees walk past me with me waving at them saying hi and literally getting no response as they walk full speed away from me in their target uniform. I stuck my head in the back room behind electronics because I saw people running back there and talking and literally yelled please can I get some help and continue to wait with absolutely no response after 10 then 20 and 25 minutes. I used to work in the Internet so I know what is acceptable and what isn't and having more than eight employees actively ignore somebody who's saying hey can you help me directly looking at them within a 6 foot distance is not quite right. Maybe I'm a ghost lol After half an hour of trying to talk to people who would actively ignore me, I gave up not being able to buy what I needed that was locked away in a cabinet. I really like curbside pickup but this time it was a fail. I confirmed with the young man bringing out my order that all my items were there. He said yes and left. Thank goodness my daughter decided to count the boxes of soda in my trunk and it was short 2 boxes. Really?!? I was kinda upset that I had to go in to the store and go to the Customer Service counter (and there was no one there for about 15 minutes maybe more - argghhh!) I had to go looking for an employee to see if they could send someone to Customer Service. About 25 minutes later and a huge line behind me, someone came and asked me what I was there for. She went to the back to check and 10 minutes later, low and behold she was carrying my 2 missing boxes of soda with my name on the stickers on the boxes confirming they were really mine. She just handed over the soda. No apology or sorry for the inconvenience. Whatever! I was happy to at least get my soda but I decided to boycott coming to this location for awhile. By far the one of the worst Targets I have visited. The drive up order took more than an hour and a half to pick up. None of the employees checked up on us. They only checked up on the cars that were parked in the aisle with the odd number drive up signs. It is infuriating watching cars pull up and getting their drive up orders when there were many other people there before them. I'm not sure how other people were super calm about waiting longer than we were but this was unacceptable. read more

This Target has become my go-to store. I need a specific type of milk, and this is the only location nearby that consistently has it in stock. The milk is also very affordable, allowing me to buy it in bulk. Everyone I interact with provides excellent customer service, and the store is well organized. This location never has the self checkout open. Every time I go it's closed. Today there was about twelve people in line and one register open. Multiple employees walked by and not as single one of the employees thought to call and get some extra help. The poor guy working register was going as fast as he can but this is ridiculous. This location is always under staffed at the registers. I wouldn't usually even bother to leave a review for something like this but it's a consistent problem that management needs to correct. My go-to Target since I don't shop at 'Big Lots,' anymore due to unwilling price adjustment issues as stated in a previous review there. This is quite a neat Target as (aisles) seemed to be always tidy except their Clearance sections. I shopped here due to having gift cards from work: I got their Peets' Ground coffee here before and coffee creamer on top of some snacks and work materials aside from 'Dollar Tree.' I didn't have any problems waiting in long lines because I would visit in off hours~so this would be my alternative to Walmart as well. Just that this plaza can get quite crowded on the weekends....but once again, work around visiting here by avoiding rush hours, doing that should help. read more

This Target needs to work on their employee training. I try to do self check out and something went wrong with the machine for a customer. The employee standing at the self check out was oblivious to the customer waiting at the kiosk who needed help. She then tries to get somebody to help her and without regarding other customers they only help the one whose machine was broken. They don't try to get the line moving or try to get the other customers waiting for a long time helped, and just close the broken machine down. I mostly do online order pickup for orders nowadays, and at the counter, no one is there. I wait, and the only person at the "returns" section just stands there and does her thing. She does not ask if I need help, and keeps doing her thing until I ask if I just wait here. She says she can help me but doesn't tell me where to go so I wait where I am and she stands there, then when I walk over, she helps me. There is a saying, customers are king. I don't expect to be treated like a king, or any different than any customer, but can you (as a whole) put a little effort into trying to help your customers? I hope this Target trains their employees to pay a little attention and at least act like they are working. read more

Britney young employee in the front or cashier was very much kind! She checked to make sure that the target gift cards weren't tampered/ had a code scratched before purchasing. Also makes sure that nothing is charged wrong. As she was helping someone before me, she had patience when it came to the customers payment issue and as I was concern about a price, the price it was on the target app she helped us very well. Don't come to this location much. I was looking for only 2 items. The day I went in was November 18, not even Thanksgiving day, and most of the Christmas decorations were already gone. Some shelves were already empty. I hope they order more Christmas stuff. A friendly employee approached me and helped me out. Unfortunately they were out of what I was looking for, but this guy kept searching to let me know what other Target store may still have some left. He even offered to order it for me.
