I'm really surprised that the rating is a 3.5 stars here. It should be no more than a 1 star rating, at most! My experience was a nightmare from the time I entered this store to the time we left. I really thought I walked into a Walmart instead! It's not only absolutely filthy but everything was so disorganized and all the employees were either very ignorant, rude, or just plain lazy! Actually, out of all the Target stores(except the one at the Glendale Galleria, which is a dump too) I've been to, this is one can be considered as the worst!
I came to this Target only because it was close to where we had dinner and I needed to return something. Anyhow, we were greeted by a bunch of unprofessional-looking employees that resembled thugs, playing around behind the counter in the customer service area. All of them were horsing around, playing like misbehaved kids as if there is no tomorrow! I mean, they were literally throwing merchandise that people returned back and forth like it's a game. And this happened right in front of customers- us! WTF. I can't believe it. Where was the manager? Taking a break from their game, this rude girl finally came to the counter and said, "Yes?" with an attitude, because we interrupted their horsing around. Not even a "Can I help you?" Told her I wanted to return these items, she grabbed my receipts and continued to join in a conversation among the other lazy @$$ behind her... all while I was being "helped" by her. All these people were still playing, talking loudly and having a party right there in front of customers!
One item I was returning was a Batman DVD that I bought over last weekend for only $4, but forgot I already had it in my collection, so I needed to return it. It was unopened and I had an accompanying receipt. I don't know what was wrong with her system, or IT WAS HER. She couldn't find the item in the system! Idiot. She asked me with an attitude and a sigh, did I buy it for that amount? Huh? No... duh, I gave you the receipt, why would I provide you a receipt that I purchased it with if I didn't? Ask me something that makes sense. Some time later, I guess she figures out what she did wrong and completes that transaction. (If she stopped playing and talking, maybe she'd know what she was doing!) The other item I was returning was this Mascara (Lash Blast) that everyone else loves and raves about, but for me it only gave me an allergic reaction. As far as I know, Target still have a cosmetic satisfaction guarantee policy. I've never had a problem returning anything with Target, especially with receipts. Well, this individual acted as if she was some big shot, while still yakking to those behind her, stopped long enough only to ask me, rudely once more... "Hey, why was this opened?" The "hey" was ghetto enough, but along with her low class hand gestures- waving around while speaking to me just made me wonder why Target is now hiring Walmart rejects! Where do these people come from! So low class! Just simply ask me if it was used and I will say yes, I tried it but did not like it. I did not need to be harassed about it. Target does not belong to you!! She finishes the transaction, says, "Here you go", throws me my refund money and returns to the playmates behind her. Some service!
Since we were there, we decided to quickly pick up a few things. Going through the store gave me a big headache. The store was gross, trash was everywhere and yet every corner I turn, there were Target employees standing around. They were all standing around talking, and not working! We grabbed what we needed and went to the check out. The customer in front of us was taking forever to pay, so while she was gathering her cash, the cashier went through our things with no respect...touching everything, reading the labels, and read the back of the DVD we were to purchase. Not that I mind this, if she was nice... but she was another rude employee. She did not smile or say "hi" before she touched(not to scan) our stuff when she was waiting for the customer in front of us to pay. Instead, after she was done reading the back cover of the DVD, she just threw it down hard like it was trash. Hey bitch, I'm buying that! Do you have to attempt to damage it before I pay for it?! Why are these people so low class?! After we paid for our stuff, my sister wanted another to get another bag to split our things, since she shoved everything into one bag. My sister told her we needed another bag, and the bitch yelled at us with, "What for?!" That really pissed me off... what do you mean what for? To put our stuff in? Why else? Man, you have to treat them like trash before they are afraid of you. On the way out, I asked the security guard where the shift manager was, he pointed over to where this guy was chatting on his cell, sitting by Starbucks. Ok... that's why, he was one of them thugs. The Store Manager will be hearing from me for sure! read more
