Target is one of big retailers like Walmart. A few employees today were liars, evil, and they think they could get away. They were not helpful.
I always go to Walmart, use Manufacturer's coupons at the cashier. After scanning the coupon, if the machine does not accept it, an employee would help to check, accept it. Then, the coupon could be dispensed into the deposit slot. My total was being deducted, and it was very easy to redeem Manufacturer's coupon.
This is my first time using manufacturer's coupon at Target. The list of items I was trying to purchase today:
Del Monte Peach Chinnamon Spice Fruit & Oats - 14oz $2.09
Del Monte Peaches in Mango Fruit Refreshers - 14oz $2.29
Del Monte Apple Cinnamon Fruit & Oats - 14oz $2.09
I have 1 Del Monte manufacturer coupon to save $0.75. No other offers used or combined.
The employees did not understand that Target will get reimbursed by Del Monte for this coupon. That's how manufacturer's coupons work.I used a lot of coupons at Walmart, Dollar Tree, etc.
When I scanned the barcode of the coupon, the monitor said the coupon was not found in the system. I got this occassionally at Walmart. The employee needs to manually look at expiration date, check if it is not torn apart, insert their employee ID, accept it. I printed the coupon from coupons.com, it is good. It was not found in the system because it was not a Target coupon.
Damian, the manager insisted that the coupon must be able to be scanned, or they would not accept it.
Two other employees lied to me. Stephanie said that if I can't scan the coupon, no employees could help to validate my coupon...They could, but they did not want too. One of employees said that the coupon is being limited. They lied, there was no proof that the coupon was being limited. They just did not want to help me. No information shown on monitor that there were already many customers redeemed the Del Monte coupon.
They lied because they could get away. Rosemead Target just simply refused to manually check and validate my manufacturer's coupon.
I called Target customer service at (800) 440-0680 and even though "We have the right to refuse, or limit the use of any coupon and/or the subsequent return for any reason, including if guests' reoccurring behavior becomes disruptive", the rep said the Target cashier should manually inspect and check if the coupon is good, not expired, then they can accept it.
But they simply did not want to accept it.
"Target will accept your manufacturer coupon as long as printed limitations and requirements are met. Keep in mind: Manufacturer coupons found on the Internet and printed are accepted."
I think Target should have accepted my coupon. The employees are liars, lazy, wanna be powerful by refusing my coupon.
I would go to Walmart tomorrow. The price is even cheaper:
3 Pack of Del Monte Fruit & Oats Apple Cinnamon for $5.66
On top of that, the cashier and employees are mostly helpful. They always accept my coupon, even if it is not found in the system, they can check, validate, put Walmart employee id, and I can always use multiple coupons.
I will use my Del Monte's coupon tomorrow, so I could save $ 0.75!
I will post my Walmart receipt to proof it. read more
