I'm not sure what I can say about this Target that would make me place it in a negative light. They have tons of high quality items, ranging from fresh groceries and snacks, frozen foods, lots of which are organic, to personal care and grooming, to furniture and electronics, clothes, toys, and gifts. Prices are decent for the quality of items and ease of getting them all in one place instead of having to shop in many separate stores. They also have a pharmacy, optometry section, sandwich shop, a Starbucks, and plenty of other stuff that I'm probably forgetting. It's usually not crazy busy whenever I go and there is a huge two story parking lot. The store is also generally clean and organized with friendly staff. read more

We were in the area and decided to stop by to purchase a few food items we needed in this mega-store. Do to the COVID-19 outbreak we wanted canned or frozen corn to cook at home but couldn't find any at our local supermarkets. This store was well stocked and we bought 6 cans and a few other items. This is the most poorly managed Target in the area. Never enough registers open to deal with the long lines of customers wanting to check out. They constantly try to funnel you into the self check-out line so that you'll do the work that they're supposed to be paying their employees to do. Go to the Target in Duarte. Lots of recent renovations at this target, which enhances its overall 'pleasing to the eye' enhancement factor, but also causes a significant learning curve when searching to find where you normally find your goods! Everything is topsy- turvy so give yourself some extra time to relearn where you thought every department was. Still, I'm loving this big Target.... beauty and makeup department is so expansive that Ulta has its own space now, including many brands only found at one time in the finer department stores..... it's becoming a one-stop shop. Staff has always been accommodating, patient, and receptive to answer questions here- never had a negative encounter from any Target employee. Clean, tidy, and fully stocked shelves....what more could you ask for?! read more

They need to get it together. This is supposed to be an updated Target location, yet their "organization skills" are a hot mess! I went to this location specifically for a certain product, specifically because the Target app said that there were 5 of the item available. When I arrived, the shelf was empty. When I asked an associate about the availability, she discovered that they had been out of the item since May 30, yet it was still currently showing 5 available in stock in store. Why???? As I was shopping the store for a few other items, I found the same issue with 3 other items as well. It is extremely frustrating and disappointing to commute all the way to a specific Target location for a specific item because they were supposed to have it in stock, only to discover that was not true. Self Check out person, older female on 11/27/202 around 2 pm at best has a attitude or worse hates Asians. Bought something that caused the register to show "show ID To attendant" so I figured that's what I'll do and I'm good to go, so I flag down the old lady, tried showing her my ID But she proceeds without indicating what she was doing, tell me to give her the ID, tells me to give her space, telling me to back up etc. with the attitude as if I told her, her mom was a whore or something, like damn, she was acting as if im a walking breathing delta variant. They decided to remodel overnight while keeping the store open. EVERY department was moved with NO signage-- which could have easily been hung from the ceiling. They lowered the fluorescent lighting so low it looks like a police station. Finally, the shelves are only half-full. And when I went to pick up an online order of three, there was only one-- total waste of gas-- and they sent me to the other Colorado Blvd location for the rest. Although parking at the W. Colorado location is difficult, that store is fully stocked and very friendly. read more

Years after FedCo closed at this location, I remember feeling a relative level of excitement that Targrt was opening here. After all, the next closest viable option for Target was in Duarte, and while I don't remember if the Colorado Blvd. location was there yet, I do remember that I hated that two story Target, and so did my parents. Years later, hardly anyone seems to recall FedCo with its strange upstairs parking area and watching the cart collectors roll down the ramp with a train of shopping carts. The last vestige of FedCo is the watch repair, that moved down the street west a bit... I think it's still there? Anyway, Target-- this is a big somewhat organized store. I somehow always need to do a quick lap here to get my bearings, as I get the feeling their layout is different than the standard Target locations for things. Unlike WalMart--where you can essentially walk in blind and find the right department, Target likes to mix things up it seems. This location has a pretty good supermarket portion, added a few years ago to stay competitive. For the most part, this is a store to buy household items and a quick toy when we're on the way to a kid's birthday party. Their clothes are ok, as long as you're only buying packages of socks and tightey-whiteys. Bike department and electronics department and tool department and gardening department and housewares department are ALL sort of meh representations of what you would find at a better specialty store... but isn't that the point of Target, nay, all department stores? Sacrifice selection and top quality for one-stop convenience? In-store Starbucks and WhichWich are as you would expect subbing retail space from the anchor tenant... C+ -ish? Remember to bring your bags, or pony up some dimes. At home I vacuum up dimes without worry, but I get all tight at the store... I dunno. Maybe I should wear boxers more often? I know, I know... some of you treat Target like a church, emoting some kind of religious experience by loyally shopping here. Me? When we're down to the last roll of toilet paper, or I need a six-pack of no-see-em ankle socks, or dammit-- Mark's birthday is in an hour and we can't show up without a gift, or at least a gift card-- yeah, I think of FedCo. If I could give negative stars, I would. I shop at Target all the time. This is my home store. I tried to return some product that did not work for me. But because apparently there is a policy on health and beauty items, you have to have the receipt. The lady at the customer service almost made me cry. All I wanted was my money back or store credit. She gave such a look of disgust like I was asking for something bad. I will never shop at Target ever again. I am closing my account too. Watch out for the hand baskets. Target may disinfect the shopping carts, but the girl was just stacking all the baskets right back at the entrance, no wipes, no cleaning, not even the handles. Still a one-star store. HOWEVER, one (yes, sadly just ONE young lady Target employee in the electronics section actually said HELLO to me! She must be up for termination soon cuz this Target just doesn't allow that kind of excellent customer service. Way to go girl! No Motorcycle Parking available. Just tons of car parking, bicycle parking and even parking for police cars to sit. With gas prices hitting $6 I invested into a Motorcycle Maxi Scooter. Motorcycle's are vulnerable to theft in parking lots that force them to park in car parking far away from an entrance. There is no reason not to have at least one Motorcycle parking spot. Four Motorcycles can share a well located parking spot at the same time. I had seen a few Maxi Scooters and Motorcycles parked to the left of the bicycle racks, but when I went to customer service to ask about it, they told me they're not allowed to park there and they have no Motorcycle parking. I'll start shopping at other stores that provide motorcycle parking or are less congested. Otherwise the store is usually well stocked. Has a decent CVS pharmacy inside that gives you a $5 store coupon after you refill a set number of prescriptions, has frozen food and small fresh vegetables available at a reasonable price. Other than one of its managers, I've only encountered positive and helpful employees. One big issue however, this location does not hire enough human cashiers and depends heavily on it's self-checkout terminals. During my most recent visit, there were thirty people in the self-checkout line, and only three cashiers. read more

Went to quickly purchase a white blouse for an event. All their shirts were super wrinkly and unable to wear. I asked the fitting room employee to help me and steam it. So I'm sitting in the target parking lot with tears in my eyes. Tears of happiness, and it's all because of Sheila. I've had a rough week, and came in to pick some groceries up, I asked her for help, and I feel these days I don't expect much from service workers, i feel a lot of service workers are fed up and don't go above and beyond, with the exception of Sheila. Wow, details aren't needed about how she helped me, the point is she did and she made sure she was able to help me, and treated me like an old friend. I usually come to this target after work as they usually have most of the items I need in stock, sometimes I order from them and things are done pretty quickly. I used to work in fulfillment at a different target location, and I know how stressful of a position it is, however we had a deadline no matter what time of year it was for orders, especially curbside orders. I waited 9 hours for my order to never be picked, and I called the store 10 times and no one answered. I tried all departments as well after choosing guest services 4 times, and not a single person answered the phone. It would ring for about 3 minutes and then disconnect. Probably won't be ordering here again unfortunately, I had a pretty busy day and couldn't spend much time grocery shopping but now I'll have to get everything somewhere else. :( read more

Is anyone aware that Target does not honor prices in its weekly ad unless you belong to Target Circle? I tried to buy something in the ad and it rang up full price. When I questioned it, the cashier said I needed to be a Circle member (no such requirement in the ad). I called customer service and was told this is now their policy. Lauren/Laura (couldn't remember which it is) but she was a wonderful representation of the returns counter. She was sweet, efficient and didn't pass any judgment as I had a lot to return that day. We were in an out with her and made us feel very welcome. Hope she can be recognized with praise and a raise you don't find people that care like that anymore. The facility was nice a lot cleaner than it has been in the past. They were out of toilet seat covers in the bathroom though and I tried to pick something up early from an online order and I couldn't which made me have to wait and come back for one item which was a bit annoying. I recently had an encounter with one of the cashier, and I must say, it was quite disappointing. The cashier moved extremely slowly, causing unnecessary delays. What made matters worse was the way the person handling my items reacted when I tried to place my bread in the bag. He yelled at me, which was quite uncalled for. I understand that they might have their own way of doing things, but it would have been better if they had communicated their preferences in a more respectful manner. Overall, it was an uncomfortable experience, and I hope that the cashier can improve their communication and professionalism in the future. He was an older Asian man. read more

I was in there on Wednesday November 13,2024, I had a online return, I got in line and there wear about 10 people a head of me, there was no one at the counter helping anyone, he was in the back getting a online pick up, only one person working the customer service area, I waited about five minutes, then ask the person in front of me how long she had been there, she said over ten minutes, and no one had been there. So I ask the cashier if she could call a manager, she told me No he'll be back when he's done getting the on line pick up, I said I still want to talk to one, she said I can't , he'll come back when he's done, she was beyond rude, so I ask the guy behind me if he would hold my place while I go get some help on my own, ask the cashier behind her, a manager was there in seconds, he said he's in the back probably looking for a order, we all new that, but what about the rest of us? He told me it just going to get busier, what do you want me to do about it. He did start helping people and the the other guy came back with a cart full of items. It was not his fault at all, he is a really nice and helpful person, he's helped me before, there is usually at least 3 to 4 employees working up there. My real issue it with the cashier, I've managed people in retail for years, she would be doing something else there for a while if she talked to one of my customers like that, I don't think she's ready to be helping customers, maybe putting clothes out or cleaning up the store, something where she doesn't have to be helping or talking to customers, the manager knows the story, he was over there with her when I left, probably saying what a B I was, she definitely was not in trouble, they were laughing. Your Target not Kmart, the service is usually pretty good there, but I can't stand to be disrespected at a place I shop at all the time.when she saw what was going on, she should have call for help. The customer service is awful here. I did rush in at the last minute to try to pick up a couple items for a pick up order that was never processed. I was trying to call on my way. So note that if it is close to closing time, they will not pick up the phone, no matter how many times you call or how long it rings. If someone did, they could have confirmed that it was not ready and I would not have gone there. I asked an associate for help and while I waited at the service desk for him to check on the order, a large overweight guy in all grey rushes up behind me then darts to the aisle across from me pretending to look at some items. I am staring at him wondering why he did that. He had no identifying clothing that I could see. He then leaves the aisle, speaks to a short woman who turns abruptly away from me trying not to laugh and hide her face. But I saw a little red in her clothing and she had a lot of keys. He was telling her 'it was fine' then flings a piece of cardboard or something over the aisles towards the back row. She laughs at him throwing the item. Then I was told by the nice male associate helping me that it was not processed so I could wait to pick up my order tomorrow or I can try to get the items (two) and cancel the order. (I think he got chewed out for helping me.) I rushed off to get the items and one of the small male associates near me in the service area said "woo!" at my back. I am pretty sure it was a small male associate that had walked up later with a small female associate, not the two male associates already in the service area. I was wearing a plain day dress that was not short or revealing. I couldn't find the first item, rushed across the store to get the 2nd and a woman yelled at me from down an aisle "Ma'am let's go!", probably the same woman with the keys. I stopped rushing shortly after and then just left. They were rude and unprofessional. Also keep in mind when you order online (website/app) for pickup/drive up that if you only get a few items, you get the stink eye. Or if it's two like mine, they just won't process your order (this is the 2nd time this has happened between this store and another one.). Today, when my order was processed at another store, two items were not available so I found this store that had the items supposedly. So I had ordered more items at another store but it just got split out due to being unavailable. Also you get automatically charged $1 for bags (that's 10 bags) for online orders. If they don't change the amount to make it accurate as to how many bags you did get, you will not get anything back. It may only be a few dimes but a few dimes from thousands of customers across the country is a lot of money. And I can't tell if the associates are being lazy or they are not doing it on purpose. Get your refund, they make plenty of money off of us already. read more

I order pick up from this location at least once a week and I've never been asked for My ID when picking up my items they simply scan my bar code and I'm on my way home. I ordered my son some pajamas and when I went to pick up the lady in the customer service was being very rude. She was obviously having a bad day or she just had a bad attitude. She asked the lady in front of of me if she was awake because she immediately didn't walk up when the previous customer left. When it was my turn I told her I didn't have my ID because I had lost it and my replacement was coming. I had cards with my name on it along with a school ID and she rudely said "It has to be a government ID". I told her I can show her my history since I work 2 minutes away and I have always ordered pick up after work. I didn't get her name but she was on the heavy side with short blond hair. read more

Don't expect them to honor their mistake. They won't give you the $5 gift card even if you buy 3 of these. They said they can't give you a GC if you didn't spend more than $5. The tag did not state that I need to spend a certain amount to get it. So I told them I can buy a few more to make it over $5 so they can give me the $5 GC. They still said no! Ordered drive up services at 9:00am so I could pick them up about two hours later while I ran errands near by. After 3 hours of waiting and still no update, I drove to the store thinking I'd have maye 15-20 minutes top to wait a little. Once I hit three and half hours of waiting and now update, I drive up to the pick up line and they told me that they were backed up and it could take up to 6 hours!!!! Never have I had this kind of terrible slow service. I mean I sat in the car watching these kids slowly bring stuff out for almost 35 minutes and it was clear that they had no intention of trying to catch up on orders. What's the point of ordering ahead to help with Time constraints if they have no intention of helping? I understand that it's a weekend and yes sometimes it may take longer but I walked in to customer service and all they could come up with was, " well maybe if you wait another hour it should be ready?" I've come here for a few items now, and I've never had any issues looking for anything. Parking was always available, lines were never nasty, and I think the only situation I've ever found myself in was that they were out of baskets around the holidays.
