The prices are going up but, was paying with a gift card which makes the higher prices easier to handle. What other big box store can you go to that has ALL display items folded in such an orderly way? Extremely Upset!!!! My guest went into Target to do some shopping which also included an alcohol purchase. My guest used her valid international passport and was denied because they said they did not accept them. The next day her father went into the same Target to purchase alcohol with the same international passport and his was accepted. She went in the following day and was denied again. I called the store to talk to Lauren the manager, and she had no idea what the id rules were and said her other manager would call me. Then I called corporate and they confirmed that an international passport is valid and they made a mistake. At the end I was told I'm sorry and my guest was not compensated for their time, gas money spent, and risk of constantly leaving the house while their is a shelter in place! An alright Target for me. Usually, if I'm visiting a Target instead of elsewhere I look for several things: - Better upscale selection - Great cleanliness - Less crowds and easier parking - Well arranged shelves and logical layout For me, this location lacks those qualities which help differentiate it from other stores. The selection here is a bit limited comparatively as there's much larger Targets nearby. Store is generally clean, but not as spotless as I've seen other locations. It doesn't get too crowded most of the time, but checkout speeds could be a bit faster. And shelf displays aren't really messy, but not arranged as neatly as I've seen elsewhere. If you live in this area, it's convenient to have a Target nearby for any goods you couldn't find at Wal-Mart, but there could be some improvements to enhance the customer experience at this location. read more

I was at this location on 3/31/23 at 3pm to get a price adjustment. The guest service person (male) was very unhelpful and rude. I wasn't even working with him as another female waited on me. He was interfering with my explanation and butting his big nose into my business, while waiting on another customer!! He told me I have to return to the original location to get this adjusted!! HE DID NOT KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING, AND IT FELT LIKE HE DIDN'T WANT HELP ME! HE WAS VERY DISRESPECTFUL. IF I WAS HIS SUPERVISOR, HE WOULD BE FIRED. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS LOCATION EVER AGAIN! I was in Palatine and I decided to drop by in Target. The store is clean and there are variety of fresh fruits in the produce section but I decided not to buy and I just head to the selections of clothes and other stuffs. I went inside not to buy groceries but to search and buy interesting items. The selections were quite organized and it was my lucky day because there was a lot of sales. I got really interested with the selection of cozy clothes and it is included on the items that are on sale. The clothes are really feels comfortable and that is what exactly I wanted especially for this season. I also found stylish and trendy kicks. I got a lot of items which I did not expect but it was a really great deal so it was worth it. There was a line in the checkout but the staff in there was fast and I did not wait and stand or long. Going here around the holidays is like entering the 7th circle of Hell... but this review isn't even based on that fact of Vida. This is probably one of the worst excuses for a Target, EVER. I can't speak for much of the store beyond the far right hand side near the entrance (Women's clothing and Sbux), but that's because I always give up and leave after just a few minutes of perusing. Do you have any idea how terrible that makes this Target? Think about it, Folks- specifically the ladies: Have you ever REALLY left a Target after 'just a few minutes'? Have you ever left a Target and only purchased the 'one thing you came in for'? Or even more telling of this location, Have you ever left a Target without buying anything at all? Not one single item? Well, I have. All thanks to this Target. The ladies' clothing section is a joke. Why are there only like 8 things in the entire section? And why is it that all the stuff that went on clearance at 75% off at other Target locations 3 months ago is on retail at full price here? And why does their Clearance women's clothing section look like Good Will is having a rummage sale damaged goods? It looks like a junk heap. Period. Things often have no tags on them, they try to cram 900 things onto a rack that only holds 250, there's crap everywhere on the floor, a lot of the items are flawed in some way- yet only marked down *maybe* 30%. Such a crock. I'd accept it as a Walmart, but I take offense to calling this mess a Target. I will say that all the employees I've come across here are friendly... or at least the one's I've encountered at the register since I'm convinced no one actually works in the women's section and that's why it's in such shambles. Also, this location has an easily accessible Starbucks located right by the entrance and the public bathroom doors. Super convenient for that ole 'in one end, out the other saying'. read more

This is my go to Target store. I do not really know why because it is not the closest, or the lowest taxes or even a better Target. But for some reason, I come here. I think it is because it has a Starbucks inside and a nearby Dollar Tree and Walgreen's, which makes it more convenient. Like Candice said, I never really venture past the Starbucks, Women's clothing and dollar section right at the front. The women's section is never very organized. I also agree with Candice that the clearance items are usually older and marked higher than other Targets. I also try and avoid the bathrooms here. This target was recently renovated, but to me it looks the same as it used to be. People are nice and store is big, but when you have a target on the other side of the road just makes it weird that there are two within a 2 mile radius. Full disclosure: when I stopped in this Target I was fighting a cold and was on the edge of a migraine so my experience might be a bit distorted. From what I recall: - this location is very spread out - it felt like we were walking forever to make a loop for the things we needed - we were on the hunt for a white undershirt for my BF to wear under his dress shirt for the wedding we were on our way to and the pickings were slim and expensive for Target - most Targets seem pretty jam-packed, this didn't seem to have as much stock as most, perhaps lending to the spread-out feel It's a Target so I'm down, but it's not a location that makes me bummed that I don't live closer. read more

Went in to get a swimsuit for early February trip to Hawaii- thank you for having swimsuits this time of year! The point of my review is to compliment the woman working the changing rooms in the back corner of the store, Shamina. Women's swimsuits are mix and match these days so I'd gone through several tops and bottoms over two trips to the bathing suit section and back to the changing rooms, and I have neuropathy in my hands and couldn't figure out how to hang the suit pieces back on the hangers, so I left a bit of a mess in the changing room. But instead of giving me the stink eye or making me feel bad for not returning things to where I found them, she stopped me because she found a loose tag on the floor of the changing room I'd used, and wanted to make sure I didn't try to check out an item that had no bar code or pricing info on it! Turned out the tag she found matched the swim suit bottoms I was about to purchase, and her helpfulness and intuition saved me a big headache at checkout. Very grateful to Shamina for her diligence and upbeat, positive attitude. Also thrilled to see living breathing people working the registers as opposed to forcing people to use self checkout like the Walmart down the street from this Target. Self checkout is a great option for people who don't have bad neuropathy in their hands, but for me they're really NOT an option so thank you Target for employing human cashiers read more

I frequent this Target - as "Alin" said, the bathrooms can be not-so-great, but they've been on the better side more often than not. There are always baskets available, which I appreciate, because I detest shopping carts. Merchandise is usually recovered pretty well, and it's not messy. Signage is always clear. The selection is pretty good. I have TWO complaints: one is that some of the cashiers will stuff your clothes into the bag, wrinkling them. I even take the hangers off, fold my selections nicely for the cashiers, and keep the tag visible so the cashier won't have to hunt for them, but they end up getting stuffed anyway. I worked clothing retail for 10 years, and it's really not rocket science to bag clothes without stuffing them like dirty socks. Sigh. The SECOND complaint is that the fitting room staff is less than friendly. Whenever I've gone to the fitting room, the staff seems like I'm inconveniencing them... usually they're just sitting down behind the counter, having conversations with other associates, and not processing any merchandise. I have noticed that I greet the fitting room staff and pepper my conversation with "Please," and "Thank You" more than they've greeted me... sad, sad, sad excuse for customer service. I've never had a problem doing any returns. Actually, one time I was in a semi-lengthy line waiting to do a return, and an associate behind the camera area offered to do my return to cut down on the wait time. That was very nice. So, I like the store itself, but the customer service and general courtesy is often lacking from some associates. read more

Oh Target. How is there ever anything negative to say? Almost every single time I come here I get greeted by at least one employee asking if I need help with anything, even if I'm looking all bummy and a little crazy that day. Minus one star for the fact that with all those employees, it could be a little more neater and organized. Understandable that retail sucks and there's just so much you can do, but there are times I'm there when it's pretty empty and i still feel that way. I think my love for Target stores in general just makes me happy about this one. There are certain locations I do enjoy more but I really can't complain too much here. Not all targets are the same. I really like this one because it is always organized and the employees are friendly and helpful. I was not aware what the Redcard was and I had an employee tell me all about it. Now every time I shop I get 5% off which is great. I take a little saving any day. read more
