Anyway, we knew what we wanted and decided to order a mattress from Costco as opposed to a regular mattress shop as we have always done previously. It was "just" for a guest room queen size mattress and we thought we would see what the experience might be like and we bought a decent looking hybrid firm queen mattress for $800 (listed prices include delivery). Scheduling was seamless and prompt and the deliverers arrived right within their 2 hour window 4 working days after the order. The mattress was nice and clean and new unlike poor experience from some low rated reviewers. The customer service issues we had was with the deliverers who turned out to be 2 younger guys that worked for Costco's sub-contractor Ryder Last Mile. They were friendly and polite, but the first thing was they didn't take their shoes off or use foot coverings. I didn't like that but also didn't say anything not knowing Costco practices. The other thing was when I said don't forget to take the old mattress, they said "you need to call Costco and they will send another truck for it". I was surprised as the Costco.com site specifically said mattress removal was included, but again being Costco, I gave them the benefit of my doubt. I asked them to at least take the mattress downstairs and leave it by the curb, and they complied. After they hurried off, my first thought was I'm glad I didn't tip them as I was going to do if they were nice and competent, but they didn't deserve anything anyway lol. I immediately called Costco.com to schedule the pickup and also complain about the lack of old mattress removal, and the empathetic rep on the phone agreed they should have done so, and he immediately called the management of the cited sub-contractor, who then immediately had the same crew come back and pick up the mattress which they did within an hour. The Costco leverage and quality control really shined then as we have come to expect. In a second later phone call, I called back to complain and pass on customer feedback about their sub not respecting property with their lack of shoe coverings, and again another empathetic Costco.com rep agreed. He also then nicely offered a $50 credit to our account for the bit of trouble and I thought that was a nice touch and again befitting of Costco quality control. Anyway, overall, and despite the mixed experience, we're quite pleased with the Costco.com purchase here.

I needed a dress for some honor thing, and as a really thin person it is hard to find a dress that fits proper. I actually found a few at TJ Maxx that fit perfect. I left there so happy and was speechless. The staff was friendly, and the dressing rooms were clean. The only thing I had issue with is that I wish they had more clothes in my size. They have some really good clothes, but a lot of the time it is for sizes way bigger than me. But, I enjoy my shopping trip every time I go. While The Paper Store is known for gifts, Uncharted focuses on trendy brands, apparel, jewelry, home décor, and personalized in-store events. Some existing Paper Store locations are being converted to the Uncharted format, bringing a fresh look and feel. I was happy to have found a new Uncharted in Arlington Heights, with 13,000 square feet of space to shop. The store looked modern and pleasant, with a lot of different small departments. However, my first visit was just a mission to purchase the new moisturizer, which was on a random free-standing display and was easy to find. Unfortunately, I only had about 10 to 15 minutes to look around in that morning. It sure looked like a store that I would enjoy browsing for a much longer time. The checkout counter was located in the middle of the store, unlike most other stores that have the checkouts near the front entrance. So, I did spend a couple minutes looking for it, especially there was no line at the time. There was one young lady behind the counter who was friendly and helpful. She patiently explained their rewards program to me. It was free and easy to join. After signing up, in my email I received a 10% off coupon for the entire purchase in my next visit. Please note that there are fine prints below the coupon that exclude certain brands.
