There's something fabulous about going through these bins of random products not knowing what you will find. The experience was super fun. The people who go there can be real a$$ holes so I do not think that's a reflection of the business, but just lousy people can be. You hear the big winners who win things like an iPad or a PlayStation or something but if you set your expectations to be reasonable for a $20-30 item that's $6-8 then I feel like I won ( over 50%off!) What did I get? Korak Legos ( over $20), a visual timer( over 50), and a picture box (about $30) for signs that change color which sadly did not have all the letters so will require a little extra work to print up new letters in Order to use the product Because today was eight dollar day, I went big and bought a mystery box. The unboxing was so much fun. Just the horror on my husband's face while I unpacked was worth every penny. But I did find some great deals like insect killer refill that works for the exact product, we have at home. We got swimsuits and 12 really nice iPhone cases that are exactly the same, hiking shoes that fit, my friend, dog food, snacks, Mom blankets. I think a total of three, and a Mom plaque that says I love you. I felt that the store loved me more than the love my family shows me because I've never had so many products in one place in my life. I included a photo of part of me unboxing box. Rule number one, do not open the box. They will open it for you in the back and you can check it out like I said there's some really lousy people there. Who cannot follow the rules and are super rude. They will kick you out if you break the rules Oh and 3 of the cutest babies who were so so good despite the chaos

I would warn if you visit that you may get hit by shopping carts by distracted people. There is a rule that you can't open the boxes yourself, so grab your boxes quickly and then wait in the line for the opener. The owner was really nice, when we told him it was my husband's birthday he gave us a free $8 item. I got some great deals on some home organization pieces that would normally sell for $35. Overall lots of fun!

Before I start with the review, let me say that I do not take writing a critical review lightly as…read moreI fully understand the impact of negative reviews (esp. for a small business). That said, here is my story. We are new to the area and thus not familiar with the popular Indian Grocery stores. Google pointed Shital to be the close store w/ the avg. rating of 4-stars. So, I went there to get some fresh vegetables and a couple of other items. The initial impression of the store was that aisles & racks were tightly packed. Went to the fresh vegetable aisle. All vegetables were on top of a open refrigerator (much like Walmart). Initially, I did not think much of it until I saw okra (bhindi) that did not look fresh at all. It had black spots and seemed "withered". Other vegetables seemed old as well. Now, it was obvious why the vegetables were stored on top of a open refrigerator (which is unlike how most Indian grocery stores store their fresh vegetables): turnaround & restocking was infrequent. Next, I went to the frozen section to get garlic naans. I picked up a large pack of garlic naan. The naan is suppose to kept frozen until use. The naans in this packet felt soft and did not felt frozen. I figured that it might be one off, so I reached for another pack in the same area. Again, naans in the second package also seemed soft. I mentioned the fact to the person behind the counter who was likely the store owner. He said that it might be just that one packet. So, he went back and got another packet. This packet was also not fully frozen. This is alarming and a health hazard as the food that is suppose to be frozen is not actually frozen. I decided not to get naans. Though, I did get a couple of Indian snacks (namkeen). The price seemed a little on the high side, but I decided to go ahead and purchase the snacks as I figured that I would not be returning to this store in the future. During checkout, I was informed that I had to make a $15 minimum purchase to use the credit card otherwise there would be a $0.50 charge. My total (w/o the .50 charge) was around $13.80. It is shady when business owners decide to jack up the minimum purchase amount from the customary $10 to $15. Overall, the food quality/safety, price and overall experience was poor. I would suggest that patrons shop elsewhere for the Indian grocery needs.

PERFECT curbside delivery using electronic pre-ordering using google docs forms and a truly intelligent safety driven approach to the pick up process. Very well stocked with groceries and products still as of May 2020. Shital was one of the first stores to put safety first while still staying open and well stocked for their patrons. Using a simple email, I contacted them to set up a date for pickup. I received an email with a link to google forms and a pickup date 48 hours out. I filled out my form with all the details (sorted by category) of what I wanted. I got a call the next day clarifying substitutes for some products and it was ready for pickup immediately. The pickup experience was completely non contact and they placed the groceries into the trunk of the car. The warm service by the business - Mr. Harshad and Rahi - is another huge plus. I am a fan for life. Well
