I saw a TV on the Simi Valley store that I really wanted but they were sold out. I searched online and found that the Moorpark store had the TV in stock. I called the store and was told they had two in stock. I made a B line to the electronics department, asked the guy if he could get the TV from the back only to be told they don't have it! I don't understand why the website AND system that shows employees what's in stock is not kept up to date. So, lesson learned. If it's not visible on the shelf, you can assume they don't have it... Unorganized aisles so no point in following signs. Not sure if they were reorganizing and hadn't changed signs yet, or what was going on! I was looking for hooks and found an aisle that was labelled hooks but held heaters instead. (See picture). However, the staff was very friendly and helped me find what I was looking for. The one lady who helped me find the correct section for the hooks also apologized for their current lack of organization. But, the girl who helped me check out was just ok. She seemed to not be very interested in helping me (although I do understand the boredom of working in retail). But she was pleasant enough. Overall, nice staff, but don't trust the signs. read more

Siyera was so sweet! It was a hot day and she offered me cold water while I waited for my brother to try on his clothes. No one at a Target has ever offered this to me before, so it took me by surprise (but it was a pleasant one). This is definitely my favorite Target location. The employees truly go above and beyond. read more

What the F! I specifically drive all the way there to buy a house phone in person which they have. But the area that has the phones is blocked off and Im told I must order it online first then go pick it up after 2-4 hours to wait! WTF? Customer service and supporting staff came to my rescue last night. I had bought the wrong gift for my daughter's college graduation and wanted to return it so I could get her something else. Nicolas, Nick, Josh, and the manager Christian went beyond the call of duty to make sure that the transaction went through. It was obvious that their top priority was to take care of my concerns and to get me the refund that I needed. I would recommend this Target to anyone the service is top notch. read more

This Target is so disappointing. For some reason they think that blocking the aisles with large carts of items they are going to stock is a good idea. This is pretty consistent in my last few trips. Yesterday they had a big pile of luggage blocking a grocery aisle. In the food section there are huge gaps where they are out of products. If Target wants to sell groceries they need to actually stock their shelves at night or early in the morning, not in the middle of the afternoon when customers are trying to shop. Also the lines at the checkstands are incredibly long because they open so few. Go to the one on Cochran in Simi Valley! read more

First of all I live in Moorpark so it is convenient to shop there. However I have noticed a real decline at this store in the last year especially. My biggest gripe is cleanliness. Almost every cart has trash in it or is dirty. The area around the trash can to the west of the front doors is absolutely filthy. Don't they ever hose the area down? Or clean the carts? There always seems to be "excess" employees standing around, trying to look official, but the store looks pretty shabby and dirty. the entry carpet is filthy. Also they should have an employee smoking area, not on the side of the building where customers are walking by with their children. Target is also slowly getting rid of certain brands of food they used to carry and they are undependable as far as their stock. Lots of empty shelves and missing items. Whoever their buyer is is not educated or qualified for the job.it's more like an outlet store. The produce section is awful. And yet they have tons of pricey Joanne and Skip Gaines merchandise that most people can't afford. And finally, the bathrooms. Totally gross and dirty. No facilities for nursing mothers. And why is the women's bathroom door ALWAYS open? And yet they spent how much on remodeling, taking out the cafe and putting in self-check registers? And there stands a nice Starbucks right next to the disgusting bathrooms. We have been going to Simi lately because I can't find what I want there. Even the old Target in Simi on Sycamore is nicer than ours and is so completely stocked! Their fresh food area is excellent! read more

I do really like this Target, but can we talk about the obnoxious bald guy (he must be some sort of manager or supervisor) that's always up front barking at the cashiers? Someone needs to tell that guy to zip it. No wonder those poor cashiers look miserable. I was standing in the tampon aisle once when he walked up and asked (yelled) how I was doing. Bad business practice = Lost Revenue Moved to Moorpark 15 months ago. My wife is spending over $100 week here on our 4 children. We purchased a bunch of superhero wall art decorations for one our kids. They didn't stick to the wall so we went to return them a few weeks later. The debit card i used to make the original purchase expired and i received a new debit card in its place. They docked me 20% because i didnt have my original receipt of the expired card that was used.. yet they knew i made the purchase at their store. B.S. This is exactly the reason sites like Amazon continue to dominate local retail biz. I will no longer support this store despite its geographoc convenience since their policies failed to recognize the annual value of our account. read more

This is a pretty fancy target, methinks it is because its in suburbia. It never looks as disheveled as others locations. And the dressing rooms actually have doors that close and don't smell like cabbage. Plentiful parking, which always seems to be the major complaint at other targets. This place either has more to offer then other targets, or is just spread out over a larger space. I wuv target for selling Weleda products. My face lotion of choice. In fact they have a lot of products that tend to be cheaper then CVS. YAY. BUT! I got yelled at for "trying on" the earrings, honestly I wasn't putting them in the hole. Second time this week I have come looking for grocery items. App shows in stock, item not in stock. Very nice employee let me know that the App can take 48hrs to update. App is useless for grocery items. Seems to be an issue with inventory/ordering, especially of popular items. Too bad because they've probably lost a lot of potential sales/revenue. read more

I love Starbucks , but this one in target has very low staffing , everyone literally has to wait for someone else's order in order to order to order their drink . Very slow service . Everyone is usually nice there , except for a lady named Teresa . She was very rude to me and every time she's working she's is in a bad mood , not very friendly. I have purchased several Apple products from Target over the years mainly because of their excellent return policy and incentives. Their technical staff has always been friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. But I want single out my experience at the Moorpark Target and one of their Technical Support staff. His name is Zachary Gearhart and he was so helpful in my recent iPhone purchase. It involved an exchange and setup that took way more time than is usual. Zachary remained cheerful throughout. This is probably one of the nicest Targets I've been to. Everything is well stocked and for the most part, neatly organized; the isles are also wide and clean. They have a Starbucks inside, which is convenient for those long, dragged out shopping trips. But usually, I'm just in and out. A quick visit to grab what I need and there's never any problems. There's also a limited selection of produce, the common fruits and veggies. It's not a grocery store so you get what you get. Can't expect them to carry everything. Another big plus for me is that it's never crowded. Maybe that's why they're able to keep everything neat and clean. read more

My review is about TARGET PHARMACY in Moorpark. For years I have turned in my prescription, at times the presription gets lost by pharmacists. On Jan-12, 2014 I spoke to a young adult in glasses to pay for 2 drugs in the prescription- Ambien & Lorazepam. He says records state that I took back the prescription. I replied back that I know I turned it in. Check your records. He insisted. I told him I need the medications and that they may have lost the prescription. He was arguing with me. Now I am at his mercy. Spoke to the manager and had to relate the whole situation with my anxiety building up. Then I heard a lady call out security to escort me out of the building. She shows up and emphasized I need the medication for anxiety ... I am now in tears and I told her I am BIPOLAR. I need my drugs. Now I am crying. Then the pharmacy manager says: "Excuse me, we found it. It was on the floor!" My Lord, I had to go through the whole emotional process of accusation that I was respnsible and turns out when I said I am having a PANIC ATTACK, the pharmacy found my prescription. I turned away because I was grieved and embarassed. I can say UNKIND persons in this planet-collectively. All were in cahoots. How were these individuals raised by parents? read more

Even since CVS took over the pharmacy at Target in Moorpark, the pharmacy has gone down hill. They tell you the perception is ready and have you standing for 20 minutes while Purvi the pharmacist is standing there doing nothing. This is sad. Usually I enjoy target. Their produce is always fresh, but today I came in for only a couple of things. I asked a boy where some Velcro would be located, they did a half-ass kind of look before telling me they didn't know. I looked on my own and found it a few aisles down, but it was out of stock. I take my items to the register, and use some coupons from my target app, and the lady behind the register got an attitude with me, "Oh, so you'll use our coupons, but don't have a red card?" Uh, is that a problem? I get everyone has their hustles, but being rude isn't the way to go about it. You can find a lot of clearance items throughout the store in each section. Wide variety of baby and kids toys. They also had a good sized clearance rack for infants/toddlers clothing that I've never noticed before. They carry the cutest boys clothes. And most of the time have promotions in the wipes or diapers. Never had any issues with parking as there is tons even on a busy weekend. I never have to wait for more than a few minutes in line and the customer service today was great. I know they have to ask every single person if "they would like to save 15% on today's Purchase by opening up a target credit card" but it never seems to be pushy. I appreciate that. Wide variety of women's summer shoes on sale right now it is usually kept clean and organiZed by style and size. It has gotten much better than a couple years ago where there were always show laying around that lazy people didn't like after trying on and didn't return to its proper place so the organization is much appreciated. read more

The team members here are more than helpful however management here is absolutely horrible!!! I asked a team member where the cookie cutters were and he didn't know which was okay because he called a manger over to help. Once the manager came over I think his name was Alex, was so rude! He wouldn't even look me in the eye and when he did he gave me major attitude. I ended up leaving empty handed. Will not be returning until he is gone. I want to see improvement target!! I went today to shop as I have for years at Moorpark,CA store where I attempted to purchase 35 dollars of merchandise. My Target card was declined despite having 500 dollars of credit available. When I contacted customer care after 6 attempts to make purchase they said "well it came through on our end but store stopped it" after 30 minutes of jumping through hoops they said the primary card holder has to come to store to approve the sale. They left me standing there holding my merchandise and refused to let me use the card. 1. Now my name is on the card. 2. I have drivers license to prove id. 3. The credit card customer service verified that I have more than enough available credit for purchase. 4. My card was not flagged 5. Card was not reported stolen. 6. Account is is good standing. 7. The person in front. Of me also had same problem but was allowed to make purchase after they rerung items. Yet they declined the sale. Now my advise to all target card holders CANCEL your target card accounts they are bad company that plays games. They tried to charge me then charge again ten they said to me "your an authorized card holder but we have to speak with primary account holder" they refused to call my wife who is on file for their "security needs" which is fine I suggested they call number on file they said no my wife had to be in store when me. They are pieces of crap. Maybe they don't like our money we spend on average 7-10k a year with target. I reckon I can't express how horrible it feels to arrive at clerk and be told your payment is declined as if your poor and have. I money despite how much I have available they still refused my business. I am aware customer service died many years ago and yet they still put signs up saying customer aervice but it is not customer service it is a myth or bait and switch. Did a bunch of toy shopping here for a toy drive. And by a lot I mean A LOT. Kat, Celeste, Nicholas, Samantha, and Lauren were all INCREDIBLY patient and helpful. (We bought so much we literally crashed a couple of their registers so we had to break the massive purchase down into several smaller ones). Store is clean and very well stocked. HIGHLY recommended.
