I had a very disappointing experience at Target mainly due to the manager on duty, Regina. I came in to return a play mat from my baby shower without a receipt. A staff member kindly explained the policy about the $100 limit (the mat was over $70 by itself) and tried to help by calling Regina to see if an exception could be made. I had previously spoken to another manager who told me they could override the policy due to the circumstances. Regina arrived with a rude and dismissive attitude from the start. She didn't acknowledge me, interrupted while I was speaking, and looking away every time i tried to say something and spoke down both to me and the employee who was trying to help. When I tried to explain, she brushed me off with, "I already told you, and you still asked for me" and even claimed she was "the only manager." Her behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely unnecessary and I told her that, to what she replied, oh well that's the way it is you have a good night... I've never been treated this way at this store before and Regina should not be representing Target's values. My visit was on 04/22/26 around 6:30 pm in case something needs to be done. read more

I stopped by this Target location today to get my wife her Hibiscus Tea. I found parking easily in the big plaza this store is located in. They were cleaning most of the parking lot here but since I came before the afternoon it didn't affect me. This store has about 6 self checkout station and also the regular cashier station. The produce area is very organized and clean. The staff are friendly here and will answer any questions you have. I also saw that there a Ulta Beauty in this store as well. read more

Great customer service here from 2 different Target employees ! One gal that helped find us peanut butter cookie explosion, on the app said K31 & she took time out to go look in the back and find them for us! She was super sweet & kind. And the other great experience we encountered was at shelf check out, the new drink Spylt wasn't ringing up. The SCO gal came up over and within a few clicks on her devices she was able to add them to our order. I was really impressed how knowledgeable she was and the ease of how she made everything work! Rude customer service, placed pick up order yesterday around 8, that's two hours prior to their closing it, usually most target stores are ready in 2 hrs, it's overnight and at 9 in the morning it's still not ready. On top of that customer service here had a very bad attitude when I kindly asked if it could be picked up quickly in the next half an hour. Already I have reduced my spend at target and repeated bad experiences like this only adds to it. Update it's not ready at 10.30 am the next day either. This is definitely one of the best Targets I have been to. There is always plenty of parking. The place is kept well maintained and clean. Customer service is mediocre. There are plenty of self checkout stations. I have been to the Kaiser Permanente clinic here several times. It is super easy to book an appointment online on the Kaiser Permanente website. I came here to get my TB test done this week for my job, and both visits went well. I last came to the clinic yesterday to get my TB test read; I arrived early for my appointment, but I was seen right away! The clinic gets quite busy, so I highly suggest booking an appointment in advance online. read more

Before the larger store was built in western Simi Valley (Tierra Rejada and Madera), the Moorpark Target was where we used to do most Target runs. While I like many of the shops & restaurants in the Moorpark Marketplace, the Target had started falling behind in appeal. Especially after they closed the garden shop, I didn't find reason to go there very often. Last night, I was on the hunt for a particular item at the S.V. West store, but I couldn't find it there. Online, they showed as supposed to have it, but in limited quantities. The Target app indicated that there was one unit at the Moorpark store, so Dear Hubby and I headed over. First thing I noticed is a sign on the exterior saying that they've remodeled. Well, okay - let's see what that's like. It's definitely lighter and brighter than I remember. They'd spruced up the swim shop area. It was 42 degrees outside in mid-February, but by all means, let's be pushing swimwear right now! They've added a whole section with Ulta Beauty branding, which sits across the center aisle from their normal beauty area. The latter also gets a boost from new cool lighting overhead, which draws attention to the space. After wandering around the kitchen appliances area and almost giving up on the one thing I was there to buy, I found it several aisles over on an endcap featuring GreenPan merchandise. Happily scored the multi-mode cooker to replace a quite well-used Crockpot. It's time for an upgrade. Now, for the same storage space I have an appliance that can steam, stew, sauté, as well as slow cook. They've added a mini Starbucks, too. Our cashier was very friendly, especially after I returned her greeting and asked how she was doing. Works miracles! As I write this and remember how the experience went, I upped 3.5 stars to 4 stars. This is definitely an upgrade over the last time I visited this location. read more

Toilet paper holder is mounted SO low it's almost impossible to reach the paper. And oh that paper.... At home we use double ply. At this Target I think they use HALF ply. It's so thin you have to use about FOUR FEET for each handful just to get anything useful. And trying to pull it out of the dispenser it keeps tearing. I put a piece over my phone, the paper is SO thin you can read through it! Sad - and difficult. read more

I don't like to leave just negative reviews, so I'll begin with I have no problem with the rest of the store, or customer service until The negative: The self checkout area is always a dirty mess. Literally it would take the employee standing by the carts (with his arms crossed) one minute to walk 10 ft. and pick up all the loose baskets and wipe down the surfaces: the glass at the scanners is, for lack of a more descriptive word, gross. I worked in retail and know for certain there is a shortage of help: But if it is Targets policy that workers can not leave that cart station or another floater type worker is too busy to occasionally step over and clean that area, then it's a bad policy. I was really sick so decided to order and pick up. They notified me that my order was ready. I dragged myself out there and only one of my 22 items was ready. WTH? I was so pissed! I asked where the rest of my order was and the rep said it's not ready. Who the heck drives over to pick up each item? Just let me know when the entire order is ready. This store is always out of everything. It's frustrating. Some of the staff is rude. The lines are always long and crazy. I hate using self check out because I don't work there. I want people interaction and I don't want to be forced to one day not have a cashier. However because of the dang lines I am forced to resort to using self check out. Some of the staff there like Kevin and a few others are kind. Unfortunately I think some of the staff is just as annoyed of the lines as we are. They need to re-evaluate who they are hiring cus most of the time the staff let me know they are short staffed. Store needs an upgrade and remodel. Not always the cleanest place. Would love to see them step up and make sure it's staffed correctly and plenty of check outs. read more

Pros and cons pros: This target location is my favorite because it has a Disney store in it and I love it how everything is organized in this area the TV screens were built well and I love it that they play songs and trailers for new movies coming out soon that is only Disney theme no ads just songs and trailers Disney should do this in their own store congratulations target on making the Disney store area so special I would really come back and go there again! Cons: I don't like to go there when students from mesa verde middle school go in this store because they would play, destroy, break, etc ... some toys because then they would be broken, roughly played with, have the box damaged, ripped up, etc period. They should follow the store rules because I always take care of all of the stuff and they should be more careful with the stuff because then the workers would get mad them so be careful with the store's items when you go there. I just left target. I found a product that had a wrong price tag. It was 6 of the same items. I took a picture of the price, went to check out. The cashier was very patient and courteous. While we were waiting for Christian the manager to verify the mistake they made. Christian was very rude. Instead of taking me to the side and speaking to me privately. I can see why they only have three stars. Called to see if they had an item that may have been received in shipment and without missing a beat, this unenthusiastic employee said no they're sold out. When I next asked if he could check his device to see if one may have shown up at another store, again without hesitation he says he looked it up and that I'd just have to call. It's interesting to me that he says he looked it up when he was too busy being disinterested in the conversation we were having let alone belong a customer thereby securing his job. I had received better customer service from a target employee at a Target out of statethat told be how to call and ask for certain items which I did here. This, what I could only imagine being a young guy due to his voice, thinks about his job. He doesn't realize or even care about anything but himself. I used to love coming to this Target just to browse and shop while taking my time, but now all I do is curbside pick-up. I would grab a coffee on my way in and now I don't even do that. The new layout is terrible, and the store is always messy/out of stock on many things. It is always hard to find workers around to help when you need them, and it takes forever to cash out at the registers. There is usually 1-2 cashiers max during peak times. They want you to use self check-out, but there is never anyone there to help. If you are purchasing a promotion that gives you a gift card, you literally have to hunt someone down so that they can give you a gift card to scan because they never have any at self check-out. I avoid going inside as much as possible. Plan to spend at least 20 min checking out. read more

But my wife, daughter and I waited for someone to help us for 20 minutes at a self-checkout stand because the receipt got jammed and no one had the keys to open the compartment. And they were rude about it when I asked for assistance, especially the tall curly-haired, semi-tattooed, Post Malone-looking dude in the front with an "asset management " vest I believe, not doing anything, who talked back and snarled at me when I asked for help. He stared me down asking for confrontation with his eyes. It's such a shame I had this negative experience at my local Target. I bought a 60$ download card from the tech department. I had trouble getting the item to work/download. This particular item was not refundable. Aaron, the manager on duty, went out of his way to help me. In actuality, he was not obligated to do so, but he went out on a limb and let me exchange the card for a new item of equal value. Incredible customer service at the Moorpark Target. Denise and Angela went out of their way to find an item I was looking for. The item (a patio bench) hadn't made it to the storefront yet. Target is basically where I do all my shopping but every time I leave here I am more and more disappointed. The store is dirty, inside and out. Lately I've been going elsewhere. My biggest complaint is the fact that they constantly have pallets and carts in walkways, as well as promotional displays. This makes it hard to get around the store, especially when it is busy. Just today I wanted to talk down an aisle but couldn't get to it because of all the promotional displays in the middle of the walkway. This is also a major safety concern for it is blocking easy egress in the even of an emergency. They need to stop blocking the walkways! read more

I am a breastfeeding mother and was very disappointed that there was not an appropriate spot for me to feed my child while shopping in the store. An associate showed me the family bathroom but when I saw it I realized it did not provide a sanitary way for me to feed my child. It was simply a private bathroom including a toilet, sink, and changing table. I don't expect anything luxurious but I shouldn't have to feed my baby while sitting on a toilet. I know this issue doesn't effect everyone but I would love to see Target at least put a chair in their family bathrooms so that their shoppers can feed their children and resume shopping rather than having to leave the store and feed their children in their cars. Horrible service. All the employees have time to chit chat and text but actually provide a service or answer a questions is impossible. At check out I had a horrible customer service rep. He rolled his eyes as I came up to the register . I greeted him and he ignored me. The someone comes over as I am paying and says they need help at self checkout , he looks at me and starts to walk away . I told him your not done with my transaction . He says just walk around and get your receipt from the register and then you can leave, it's not that hard to do. So since when is a customer suppose to be behind the register . I went into the store this afternoon looking for ink for my printer. After searching online, it showed that the Moorpark store had it in stock. I asked the woman in electronics if they had it. Sorry, I must have bothered her as she was playing on her phone. In a very condescending voice she said, "Everything is on the shelf, we don't have a secret room where we keep anything" Really, this was just asking about having anymore ink since it showed up on line.
