Ok I love the Target closer to my house but stopped in here to get some items that I needed right away when I was in the neighborhood. I walked in and could tell this was not like the Target I'm used to. While it appears there were a lot of different services, such as a CVS Pharmacy and a Starbucks, I felt like it was very difficult to find things. The store felt disorganized and there weren't really sufficient signs to point me in the right direction. There were some items in the Pharmacy area I couldn't even find so I left without them. Then there were other areas like the kids toys that had plenty of options. Whatever. Target is Target. I just felt like finding things in this one was a bit more challenging than usual and there was no one around to ask for help. read more

This is my local go to. Groceries, medicine, ice, whatever, and then I am there today and a guy walks in with no mask. They did nothing but try to get him in and out as quick as possible. I confronted him and the staff and mgmt did nothing, but try to move him along quicker. EVERYONE has a mask on except this flat earthier. The store didn't refuse service or anything. I went out of my way to pick up a pet armor item. I ordered on Target's 5% off subscription, same day pick up. The app took up at least 4 hours of my time trying to order. The In stock certainly does not work. After finding one in stock at the Mission Hills store, I ordered only to get a text that my item is available at the Van Nuys Store. The young long dark haired girl in the online order desk, needs to be fired. What a rude person. She is the reason I will never go to that dreary store. The item was not in stock. Her answer was it takes 72 hours to change the in stock to out of stock. What?????? I'll never order on Targets site again, and will never go to that store. I really wish I could have caught your name so that everyone who was to read this can know how disgustingly rude you are. First of all, if you do not like your job please exist the door, there are thousands of people out there that would appreciate your income. As an essential worker I do understand that you are trying to protect yourself but there is a way to communicate to people. Really happy with this Target Express in the neighborhood. It's so easy and convenient to run in and grab a few things, and I don't lose 2 hours of my life like I do in a regular, full-sized Target. Plenty of parking and the employees were so friendly and helpful. I love that there is a Starbucks inside too, saved me another stop during my errands today. I needed avocados, salsa, sour cream and a few other food items (tacos, anyone?). They had everything in stock and even better the avocados were perfect and ripe and not hard as rocks like most places. They had some cute clothing items too, so I will definitely be back soon when I have some more time. So stoked to have this lil Target in our neighborhood! read more

First time at this store. Wed 4/22. Super long checkout line going down the aisle. Evan, useless, standing by the entrance looking stoned and like he hasn't showered in a week. No eye contact, watches me looking around for the Pick Up Counter, doesn't offer a word of help. I go to the fat black haired guy at a checkout and ask "where is the pick up counter, I have an online order to get." He points to a counter that only says Returns/Exchanges and says "right there, but you need to wait in line". Great. So what's the point of online? I wait in the freaking line, get to the pick up counter, and a friendly girl with short hair tells me that I didn't need to wait in the line. Get your shiit together people. read more

This is a mini Walmart. Waited a year for this Walmart to open. It's great they're putting a Walmart in the neighborhood but this one is a tiny one. It's like half the size of a rid aid. A welcome addition to the neighborhood! While this is an express Target, meaning it is much smaller than a typical Target, it is still a great place to stop for whatever your shopping needs may be. There is ample parking and plenty of self check-out stations, as well as a Starbucks inside. In an area that is severely lacking in quality merchants, or really, merchants altogether, this Target store really livens things up. I've not had an issue with not being able to find an item that I've come in for yet so the smaller size does not bother me, although it would have been nice if it had been a full size Target as I do miss going to the furniture section, but really, I probably don't need anymore furniture! read more

After being standing for a long time in line,(the holidays of course ) finally made it to a register, I couldn't self check out because I bought wine, when I was unloading the chapping car I forgot one item , "Missy" ( the clerk register ) was helping out at that register.When I told her I forgot one item and if can go get it really quick she that she has to suspend my transaction do that she can help the next customer. I was fine with that but when I came back to resume my transaction that she suspended she told me that she has to help the next person in line witch it took long time if I knew that I have to wait for for the next customer to pay a would of gone to another register but that was never communicated to me . At that point I couldn't understand why she couldn't help me quickly after I got my item since the transaction was suspended and all it was needed resume and to add my item and pay . "Missy "saw that I was frustrated and instead to find a another person to help me , she was very dismissed and disrespectful , definitely she enjoyed seeing me extremely disappointed and keep saying to me don't worry I'll help you ! with a smile of satisfaction for keeping waiting. I usually come to this target, it's very convenient. I'm Waiting at the self check out while the attendant Ralph wipes the check out stands .Two people go on the two separate check stands. One person leaves and I'm waiting to be called as the sign to the left states. Still waiting to be called after a few minutes assuming the station was going to be cleaned again, to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Ralph the attendant however for the next few minutes just chats it away with the attendant Kathy while I'm trying to wave them down to get my station wiped. I'm now wondering if target has my best interest in customer service and policies to help stop the spread of COVID-19. This new Target in Mission Hills is smaller than most of the other Target stores in the valley. This store sticks to the basics. All the departments are much smaller than their other stores so you may not find what you need if you're not looking for a top selling item. I always like to look at the DVDs when I go to Target but this store only has a few big hit titles on a card board display. The only CD I saw was the new Taylor Swift. You may not find everything you want at this Target but you will be able to find your way around a lot easier. read more

Seems like I experienced a few hits, but more misses at this new Target. I stopped by this Target today since I've been waiting to see it for over several months during it's construction. I have to say that I really enjoy Targets however this is one I may not return to unless I'm craving a specialty yogurt, like Noosa, that is not offered in the flavors that I like at other nearby supermarkets. I wasn't able to find three items that I'm normally able to find at other Targets and the checkout was confusing since the self checkouts and registers lead to doors that appeared to be locked (around one hour before closing). With these misses, I believe that I'll only go back if I actually see something worthwhile online and will pick it up from the online order area. read more

This Target is an 'urban format' store but despite being this new smaller store format, the aisles are wide, store is clean, and the grocery area is very navigable. Staff is knowledgeable and the checkout lanes are placed in such a way as to give easy access to the self checkout registers and both exits. Ample parking in the back and a lot in the front (Sepulveda side) also. Used to be a Payless Shoe & Family Christian Stores. Massive remodel of plaza. Definitely needed. read more

I love this one in particular because its closer to home for me & my gym is right next to it so a win win.. yes it is smaller but they have just about everything you really need. I was in a hurry to buy new bedding while my bf was sick also an excuse to go there came out spending the best $250 for bedding & other items. We've had the best nights sleep under these blankets . The service here is awful I went to exchange a bathing suit for a different size the exchange was done wrong and only 1/2 of the bathing suit was put in my bag when I went back to get a refund for the second half that I was missing I was treated rudely and told that they need to watch the cameras to make sure I was not lying after 20 minutes they finally came back and the woman did the return with an attitude the whole time acting like it was my fault they did not put the item in the bag needles to say I will not be back to this location read more

They advertise eggs in their weekly newspaper add. I went their to get some eggs and they were out. This was on Sunday. I asked for a rain check and they said they do not offer rain checks.
