While we were shopping, we needed help to have one of the display cases open. Store was almost empty and was not busy. We had 4 different employees walk by stare at us and walk away. Oh my goodness. I see lots of bad reviews about this location. It's next to the gym i go to so I passed by for some items for my upcoming vacation. It's definitely a tiny Target but had plenty to choose from. I got my sunscreen, new dresses, sexy belt, salad mix, kombucha. Im set, I guess the downside is that the employees seemed a little distracted talking and laughing, but hey I've been in that kind of job before and the camaraderie really helps you survive that environment. When I asked for the dressing room and for help with a dress, I did get some nice help though which I appreciate the parking is a little crowded too but hey, I'm not complaining. By far the worst target I've ever been to and honestly if they weren't less than 40 miles away I wouldn't go to this in my wildest dreams but here I am. If there's a target I ever wished would close down it would be this one. They set the bar so exceedingly low even a Walmart could stroll over it. This Target feels like it's straight out of a prison. Needed emergency medicine last minute and didn't want to drive to another. I forgot why I hadn't come to this one in years and I was reminded as to why I never returned. The clothing section is abysmal and everything is disturbingly unorganized, on the floor, and looks like it's already been worn. Self checkout was empty but I was honestly disgusted that I had to use a tissue to touch the pin pad. There was a line of at least 20 people at checkout. Avoid this one at all cost. I purchased AirPods on the 10th, ended up not needing them so I returned same day in a couple hours. We are now 10 days later and they haven't given me a refund on the item I purchased and returned. The manager today asked me if I had a receipt, but the person who took my item back never gave me one. Not sure why they didn't follow protocol which results in me taking time out of my day to wait 30+ minutes just to get a refund I should have received days ago. Absolutely wild. And also when I originally got the item I had to wait 5 minutes for a receipt. They weren't even planning on giving me one originally. I did go in today to Target in Mission Hills at the Olivo center on Sepulveda Blvd. I got to lovely experience of having some really shitty service! They were unfriendly, rude, condescending, and acted like I was bothering them. especially I had problems at the self check out that we do ourselves even though the paid employees are standing around literally doing nothing but giving you rude looks!!! Put in an order for pick up, came to the front of the store. There was no numbers or anywhere no direction of where to park so app directions where to put on your hazards and wait close by. I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Target. As I approached the employees, including someone identified as a manager (Wong), I specifically asked about a product: paint markers and liquid chalk. Three employees, including the manager, all told me to go to a larger Target without even bothering to check or look. Their unwillingness to help was shocking. Despite their lack of assistance, I decided to look for myself -- and guess what? I found exactly what I was looking for right there in the store. This kind of disregard for customer service is unacceptable and reflects poorly on Target. If your employees can't be bothered to help customers, what's the point? One star. They clearly don't care. On a lighter note, I mentioned this to the manager once I was able to acquire the product I was looking for and he did try and offer me a gift card, which I respectively declined and let him know that I'm not here for anything for free. These Target employees would save and get all the sale items instead of having customers like me to buy them. There's this item I wanted that behind the cashier lady and I asked her if I can get it and she said "No you can't. It's for an employee." My experience today is rude and disrespectful to ME, grandbaby that was in the car with me and for my time. Placed a order and little pass hour received notification it was ready and indicated on my way , arrived provided space and no one ever came to ask me for the code. I stopped by this Target to get some lip ointment for my fiancée. I checked their app and it said that this location had the one she wanted. Finding parking was easy since it's in a big lot. I wore my mask inside but I don't think they check anymore. I wasn't able to find the item so I asked an employee for help. She looked up the item number and said it should be at the location the app said it should be but if it's not there then it's likely sold out. This location is nice and large and there's plenty of parking. The customer service is excellent. My mom was looking for a lint roller. We both was walking through the store trying to figure out which aisle it would be on. My mom was speaking to me out loud and one of the associates by the name of Matt overheard her and stop what he was doing to tell her which aisle it's on. I was very impressed by that because most of the time when an associate is busy I don't think they really want you pestering them about an item you're trying to find. But in this case this associate overheard it and jumped right in there to help. I also appreciate that they have available restrooms for the customers. They're Starbucks didn't look too bad either. Who decided to create these mini Targets. They really should have a different name or branding to identify them from the proper-sized Targets. How about writing "target" in all lowercase to show it's a smaller store? I had such high hopes when I heard a Target was opening up in Mission Hills. I thought it would be a great alternative to the Granada Hills location. Anyways, these mini Targets are honestly a waste of time. This location has incredibly terrible parking. Inside, they have such a small assortment of things that either they don't carry what you're looking for or they don't have it in stock. You have as much luck finding what you need here than going to a local 7-11 for deodorant and toothpaste. The last time I went, clothes were on the floor and just overall messy. Save yourself the hassle and go to another location that isn't a mini Target. read more

This is always my go to Target for my home, personal, and all my god children needs, as I never have had an issue here at this Target, I would love to have given them 5 stars but the lack of cashiers at the front end is not cool with me at all. It is a hit and miss with the lines there, but one thing I love about this particular location is that the customer service on the floor is the BEST I've seen and had at any target I've been to by far. They are currently remodeling the store and also I think the parking as well, so parking is currently limited now. Overall, whenever I need assistance someone is always on the floor to help no matter what. After witnessing a few guest shopping on separate days and times walking in carrying a dog, on a leash or placed inside the cart that people use to shop. I over heard an employee ask very politely if their dog was a service dog... The guest lied! They rudely said Yes! If your dog was a service dog, they would be properly identified, on a leash, not carried or placed in side the shopping cart, they would not bark at other shoppers or even worse, having there dog Shit and Pee inside the store because a true service dog is properly trained and certified. The owners I witnessed disregards the mess their pet has made nor notified an employee of what their dog just did. If you pet is not properly trained as a service animal they do not belong inside a store where people shop to purchase food! I purchased a Visa gift card, when the person I gifted to tried using it didn't work. I brought the gift card,receipt, & bank statement with me. I called the number behind the gift card put on speaker and message said "card has not been activated please return to activate at place of purchase" customer service employer said you have to call Visa?!! First things first, dude stocking toys--SUPER NICE. Super helpful. Showed up early because it reflected something in inventory. Didn't appear to have it. Seemed perplexed because his zebra said it should be there. No worries, it happens. I'm looking at something else in the toy aisle when another employee (short, husky with a beard) walks up with the case of the items I was looking for-- it's already open and he has the hard-to-find, single-packed item in his hands. He hands the guy stocking the items the rest of the box and disappears with the hard to find character in the back. I agree with the majority of reviewers, that this particulat Target location (Mission Hills) provides poor customer service. This is truly disappointing. Target should remember that their employees are walking IDs of the Company's mission amd culture. I am an avid patron of Target and as much as possible I tend to stay away from this location unless I have NO CHOICE --like when I do online purchases and the only store that is available is this particular location. I really did not like to make this poor review of Target, however, this is the second time that I have experienced poor customer service from the employees at the pick up area for online purchase in particular the Target personnel, Matthew (the employee with curly hair and mustache). The 1st instance was on Sept. 12, 2019 (I really took note of this day- since I was supposed to make a review regarding Matthew's poor customer service skills and unprofessionalism. However, I let it slide since Kay (another Target personnel) was nice and she made up for Matthew's lack of customer service. On this day, I made several Target pick ups (since some items were just available at a particular store), so I arrived around 9 pm and went straight to the pick up area in Mission Hills (the 3rd Target store I passed by for that day). Matthew immediately approached me and in an unfriendly manner said: "There is no more pick up! It's already late!" And I said, "How come this is the 1st time I've heard of this and normally I get to pick up items even at a later time in other Target stores. And then, Matthew rudely said: "Well, our store is small and our time is different from theirs." I was frustrated with the rudeness but good thing, Kay said: "Let me help you out with the items." Fortunately, Kay had a good sense of customer service. So, that time I decided not to publish this yelp review. However, it seems that Matthew's lack of people/customer service skills is consistent. Today (Oct. 3rd), I went there to pick up a purchase I made online. Aside from taking time for the pick up, Matthew gave my items to another customer--- good thing the customer said it wasn't hers. Also, Matthew kept on goofing around with another lady personnel which is very unprofessional. It seems that the employees here (particularly Matthew) do not value customer service at all. It is sad since Target will tend to lose customers if their employees are not well- trained for customer service (or if they were trained, if the employees don't apply what they have learned about professionalism and customer service).
