I really love the fact that there is a Goodwill near me BUT there is a girl who oversees the drive-up deposit site who needs to be replaced NOW! I had glassware that I had taken the time to individually wrap so it wouldn't break or chip. This girl didn't like that I put the box of glass in a bin. I told her it was glass and shouldn't be dumped in the bin (she told me no boxes allowed). She took the box out of the bin and dropped it on the cement at about 4' distance from the ground. I was furious and took my now broken glassware and put it back in my car and drove away. Who takes a box of glassware and purposely drops it? The last time I took my stuff to Goodwill, there was a GREAT GUY who helped me unload my stuff and gave me a receipt. read more

Same experience as Emily D from a month ago. Passing through from Los Angeles. Emily was generous with 2 stars. Article of clothing missing a price tag. They took it to back room and told me that it will come back out on next rack. About 30 minutes. Which means my article of clothing will be up for grabs by everyone. I waited and still no rack. I explained to an associate that we were from Los Angeles and needed to get going. If she would do us a favor. She said I would need to speak to the supervisor. Instead of supervisor coming out, they brought the rack out. Note to corporate: what customer service model does this follow to make the customer wait for a simple price check/tag? read more

For a Goodwill the place was pretty clean, Prices arent great though. I would check it again.

It's so disappointing but this store has swung the pendulum way over to the extreme with some of their pricing, see photo of Roxy flip flops for $12.99, no they aren't new, soles showed wear. I bet they didn't even retail for that! I was so humiliated by a man out back when I went to donate. He looked in my car and said my dog carrier was dirty and he refused to take my donation. Which was bagged and you couldn't see it. I told him yeah my dog uses that a lot so it's a little dirty and I am not donating it. I am only donating what is in the bags. He didn't care he didn't want any of it!! You really need to train your employees on how to interact with the public, diversity training and how to be professional. Maybe let them know that the little authority they are given should not go to their heads and give them a power trip. Also keep in mind Goodwill would not exist if it were not for the people that show up at the back door and donate so treating them like crap is not a good idea. read more

Do not donate here. I went to drop off a few bags of clothing and one of the workers began to yell at me saying I wasn't following the rules and its only 1 person at a time. 1. Hes yelling at a customer/donor 2. Their were no signs with directions or explaining 1 person at time 3. He saw me drive up and park and yet he chose to wait until I unloaded my car with my item to come up to me and yell at me 4. He tried to deny my donation over like he was the ruler of goodwill because I wasn't following the rules thats not posted anywhere. Very unprofessional, rude, and clearly on a power trip. read more

I was visiting from Los Angeles and stopped in. I was taken back by how organized and clean it was. They do put their racks by color instead of size so you have to look at everything. Ok I get that. But there was a top I really wanted but did not have a price tag. So I asked how much. The lady took it and said I would have to wait until the next rack came out in 30 min. REALLY!!!! They had a GUARANTEE sale. I would have paid whatever it was. But I could not wait around 30 min for it to come back out. Los Angeles does not run this way. This good will was amazing when I first started going prices where great but recently I've noticed there has been a huge spike on prices the staff there is excellent especially April! I usually love good will stores! This one not so much. 1. THEY DO NOT HAVE A FITTING ROOM. 2. RETURNS ONLY WITHIN 7 DAYS FOR STORE CREDIT ONLY. 3. The clothes are only slightly organized, there is no separate section for women's shorts, skirts and capri's. 4. Definitely not arranged by size. 5. Not very cheap prices. I'm not going to shop here anymore, but I have store credit to use. It's a big store and has lots of clothes, but no bowls. AND NO FITTING ROOMS. read more

I'm so impressed with this Goodwill. It was super clean and well organized, and one of the employees voluntarily came over to ask if I was purchasing some of the (very reasonably priced) chairs that I was looking at, and if he could give me a hand carrying them to the front. Not only did he go get two other employees to help me and my husband carry them to the front, he offered to help load them into our car! I noticed that one of the 5 identical chairs I was buying was priced lower than the others. Instead of just charging us for the higher prove for the 4, and the cheaper price for the 1, the checkout girl called her manager to see why that might have been, and what she should do. They gave us all 5 chairs at the lower price! Stellar customer service! I also love how organized this place is. I've been to other Goodwill's where they literally just have giant boxes of junk that you basically have to climb into to sift through. This store had designated areas for furniture, clothing, and home goods. The home goods were neatly arranged in their shelves, and were actually sorted. The clothes were not only separated by type, but by size AND color!!! I live 45 minutes away from this store, and I would make that drive just to shop here. read more

Massive can't even describe the square footage of this location!!! If the music wasn't blaring loudly in some speakers somewhere, I think I could've heard an echo. But maybe what I was hearing was my bewilderment in the shoe area that lacked any kind of pricing signage. I picked up some old ratty shoes that the original owner probably spent the summer of 1996 doing the Macarena in, and saw some numbers etched on the bottom of the shoe that made me say to myself WTH? After the second pair of a similiar experience, I was dumbfounded. Again, no "price as marked" signage anywhere to be found in this area and nobody around to ask, we all know what happens when we assume. My "assumption" was amusement of these inflated preposterously ridiculous price tags, and that someone actually thinks these items are worth this much... But my two pairs of pants I bought for work are adequate and worthy of the $11 I paid for both pairs. I'm just going to ruin them in a few months, why pay more??!! PS: like all goodwills within a forty mile radius that I know of (Grover Beach Goodwill had fitting rooms the last time I was there over a year ago ), DON'T BOTHER SEEKING OUT A FITTING ROOM CUZ YOU WON'T FIND ONE!!! read more

When I first walked in, it appeared very well stocked and organized but after looking through EVERY SINGLE women's shirt they had, I realized that apparently only senior citizens had made donations :/ So I left empty handed. There hasn't been anything in this store worthwhile in over a year. There is a huge problem with theft in here, guaranteed. This place is ridiculous. I've always enjoyed shopping at the Lompoc Goodwill in search of treasures, however, I have chronic health problems that force me to have access to a restroom without notice. This has never been a problem at this store until today. I was notified by an employee that they are no longer allowing customers access to their restrooms. I know there are many others out there who suffer as I do and many of the customers at this store are elderly. This sudden disregard for the customers needs is inexcusable by all means and I will no longer be able to shop there. Huge Bummer! read more

This place recently moved into a space the size of an Albertsons. No exaggeration. Ross cannot even compete with this place. They have to be importing items from areas further away, because this place has so many amazing items that I would never believe were first owned in Lompoc.
