Sometimes customer service is really nice and helpful and sometimes the managers can be a little rude. They told me wrong information once to get me to leave the store, so they didn't have to help me. Most of the staff has been nice though. read more

Rude cashiers. The girl that rang me up threw bags at me across the counter, was acting upset, and treating me like I was an inconvenience. I don't even mind bagging my items but her behavior was so rude. I was so confused by her attitude. This store used to have employees who were helpful and happy. Not anymore. Will have to say, the drive-up experience here is pretty top-notch. The employees working at the drive-up have been courteous and efficient for the most part. Of note, the busiest times to pick up drive-up orders is from 4pm-7pm so keep this in mind when picking up your order, as spots can be all occupied! read more

Target should train their employees not to LOUDLY speak about the forms of payment (or whatever else really) the customer is using. An older lady was ringing up the couple in front of me and they quietly asked if the bag charged would be removed from the bill. The cashier asked why. When they explained, she said, "OH YES, ANYTIME YOU USE GOV'T MONEY, you should get everything free." The cashier proceeded to say in an embarrassingly loud voice that the people would be using food stamps. When they paid for something separately in cash, she said, "Ok, now I charge you for the bag!". Come on. They were paying customers. It was super uncomfortable to anyone within earshot (except apparently the cashier). read more

The Victoria Beckham for Target collection recently came out so I've visited a few different locations to see what they have- this Long Beach Target had a nice selection of the British, Alice In Wonderland-inspired collection of dresses, rompers, sticker books, paper dolls, baby clothes...So posh! What I like about this Target is that it's not extremely busy on a Saturday afternoon- there's ample parking (it's in a large strip mall with Big Lots, Trader Joe's, etc.) and you can shop in relative peace without sacrificing all of the full Target perks. I've picked up a few online orders here and the process was seamless, too! They have a nice selection of bedding for kids & adults, and fresh grocery options, plus some Long Beach-centric clothing options. It's near CSU Long Beach, so I can imagine it's a great spot for college students to pick up dorm essentials. If you don't mind a short walk, you can head down to the neighboring Trader Joe's (just past Big Lots) and park in one spot. I'll be back! read more

The staff that I came across yesterday were very courteous and helpful. They all were masks. The store was clean and organized. Tania who was in charge of self check out station was very kind and professional not just to me but to other customers as well. A big round of applause to her! Staff were wearing masks. Like any Target this place has an eatery with hot dogs, ice cream, chips, beverages, pizza and that Target popcorn many love. There is plenty of well spaced aisles with neatly organized products in a glitzy looking electronic section and commendable toy section. The shoppers who walk faster and stop less than Wal-mart shoppers. disadvantages - it is a huge chain store, the kind that run mom&pop away - Crowded, many people here it seems advantages - Because many people come the popcorn is always fresh. I know many fans of the Target popcorn, myself included. - The checkout aisles are responsive ala Ralphs when crowded, they have Walmart beat in this area hands down I like the fact that this store has great parking, great location and some of the workers seemed naturally freindly. I usually gravitate to this local Target. I've come here for years (since before Bristol Farms was built, which is now Lazy Acres). I've had good times and bad here over the years. My mom has passed out from a lack of potassium, and Target Staff was prompt and had an ambulance here quickly. This Target has even donated to my annual doggie daycare for guide dogs event. Yesterday however, a Target employee stole from my legally blind mother (it's on camera). Just before 3pm, my mom was at the photo area and left her wallet on the counter. An employee checked into work at 3pm, and picked the wallet up, took the cash out, and turned it in to the customer service. The same employee later then went searching for my mom and found her excitedly, telling her she found her wallet and that it's being held for her. My mom asked her to describe the wallet to her (because my mom carries two different ones for different purposes), and the girl was kind of fidgety. The girl lead my legally blind mom to the place where her wallet was (and even offered to pull her basket for her), and then mentioned how she was going to leave on lunch to get tacos soon. When my mom got her wallet, everything but $60 cash was inside of it. When my mom spoke to a manager about it, he covered for his employees. My mom folds her bills a specific way, he'll know who has her cash. read more

This is probably the Target I visit the most, solely because of convenience. The staff here is mostly friendly, but I feel like the clothing section can be a bit junky but there's a huge sale / clearance section in comparison to other targets in all areas of the store. This store also carries a few other things that I can't find at other stores such as horchata and booze lol. The downside to this target is that because it is next to Csulb and residential, this target can get packed ! There's even a line for self check out! read more

What could I say about Target? I go in for one item and end up with a cart full. The prices are always great and they ALWAYS have what I need. It gets a little crowded in the evenings so walk the registers to find the shortest. Luckily I go here enough I know which checkers are the fastest. I used to come here so frequently when I lived in Long Beach. By frequently I mean pretty much nearly every day. That being said, after living in LA and discovering all of the other Target options out there I would say that this is a decent one, but nothing spectacular. I found what I needed although I had to look harder than normal for the contact solution. The layout of this one is not like the others I frequent nowadays. I was also looking for a car booster seat without a back. They did not stock them. The kids booster full back car seats out priced the ones at Babies R Us, so I decided to skip it here since we didn't have to have one to take to Grandma's house. Also don't forget, Bring your own shopping bags or purchase one for 10 cents in LB. I totally forgot about that. Not that 10 cents is a lot, but the way people tend to shop at Target (by people I mean myself) it could end up being quite a pretty penny for bags alone. read more

I LOVE LOVE TARGET. They always give such an aesthetic appeal and since they remodeled this location a while back I always walked in too overwhelmed because I want to buy everything that I don't need whatsoever. Their $1 section is SERIOUSLY the best! I don't think I've ever been so passionate about anything worth $1 but they make it worth your while. They always have the cutest things there and recently they've had these really cute card stationery for just $1!!! I think the designers who work for Target are genius. I'm hooked currently on specialty Target items. I love Method cleaning products. I love Choxie. Even though Choxie is evil, truly. I love their designer-of-the moment collections. Paul-and-Joe were my favorite, so far. I've also found really great birthday cards, wrapping products, holiday stuff (especially Christmas), gardneing stuff, and home decor, too. That may be because I use the Bellflower Target, near CSULB, but I'm not complaining! Oh yeah: I've even faked out my father on some of their "world market" items from the home decor section. I've been a regular customer of this particular Target for probably 10+ years and have watched it slowly decline to the state it is in now. The shelves (in particular the grocery area) are continually unstocked and give the appearance that the people overseeing it don't give a damn. It may seem like a a gross exaggeration (and it is to some extent) but I often think to myself as I roam the grocery aisles, 'wow, this must be what it looks like when a natural disaster hits and people raid a place for emergency supplies'. 3.5 stars: convenient location, stocked full of almost everything you need, and great prices! Plentiful parking and great store hours too. The store itself seems a little more chaotic and confusing than the typical Target, and the employees don't seem as happy here as at other locations. It's ridiculous that I can fill up a cart with light bulbs, cargo shorts, a new razor, a Game of Thrones paperback, several ears of corn, a car charger, orange juice, It's-Its, and an exhaust fan. My friend bought me a gift card from this store. A scammer slipped a barcode for a different gift card in the card packaging The scammers card was activated at checkout and we have a gift card not activated with any money on it. This scam was not caught by Target's loss prevention and so they are selling defective merchandise/gift cards. I brought the scammers bar code, the packaging, the card, and receipt back to Target. The Target Manager "Maddi" stated that I might be the one trying to run the scam and she made no attempt to help me, and made no attempt to check the merchandise on the shelves to prevent defective merchandise from ripping off other customers. She did not even lookup the checker or let other checkers know to be aware of the scam. If "Maddi" is not running the scam she is definitely supporting it. The only shimmer of light was Matthew who did not brush me off and tried all he could do for me as by calling customer care himself and going above and beyond to see what can be done. He made me feel as though he cared for me and my situation and gave me the only sense of community. Unfortunately he could not get anymore done and could only seek Maddi's help due to her position. Maddi refused to help as she was busy folding clothes. She then stated she did not know how to get in touch with her boss. She stated she does not directly supervise or solve issues she only directs people to call a customer relations phone number. Maddi then walked away and a few minutes later was overheard talking about me out in the aisle to other Target associates in the middle front of the store. She was making fun of the fact that I got scammed at her store for over $200 and there was nothing I could do about it. To Maddi it was a joke. Maddi is a very poor supervisor, very immature, and a horrible example to her co-workers and everyone in our community. I do hope that the issue can be resolved and that Maddi can grow into a better person and Target associate that I am sure she is capable of being. read more

You can't go wrong with Target, and I love this location. The store is always clean and well-staffed. While it gets busy (as every Target does), parking isn't difficult as there is a large lot. I never have a difficult time finding someone to help me find what I am looking for (but let's be real, I shop here multiple times a week so I now know where almost everything is haha). They recently renovated parts of the store so now there is a lovely Starbucks at the front. This is perfect for the times we drag by dad along with us and doesn't want to wander through the clothing and shoe sections! read more

Updating a previous review. After the incident a few weeks ago with security, I did speak to corporate and the store manager. I must say I'm extremely DISAPPOINTED with how the store manager LACKED concern. When I spoke with her, she appeared to be ANNOYED that I was reporting incompetence about her employees. She stated the matter was "handled" and acted as if I was supposed to thank her for that. Yesterday I decided to shop at that store and to my surprise that same "security" guard was standing at the exit door. It really made me realize that store manager does NOT value the guests that keep her store functioning. I already knew her reputation was horrible regarding complaints regarding things that happen in the store, but now I can vouch that it's true! read more

They could care less about people's struggles during COVID. It was the final minutes of closing and my card was having issues. I hailed over an employee for help and she reached out to her Team Super when she couldn't figure it out. I had verified I had the funds for the transaction and that it had been made and repeatedly refunded. They deemed it was something I would need to call my bank for. My interactions with them were rather pleasant, and I only got the name of Lexi, who I made sure to thank on my way out. However, while waiting for my bank to resolve the issue, another associate named Aza came over to repeatedly remind me that the store was closing and I needed to leave. There was nothing I could do to speed the bank up and it was obvious the store was closing as I had heard all of the announcements and had been told by the previous associates, but she still felt the need to persistently remind me that I needed to hurry up. She came over so many times and with me already feeling highly overwhelmed, I began to break down. She then went over to the security guard and another associate and began to laugh. Although they were likely ignorant, for people, such as myself, who are dealing with mental health, this was disgusting to see. I am a full time student and essential veterinary hospital assistant, so sometimes I have to do my shopping late, but I still need groceries. The stores have been hard to get to during the holidays so this was my first chance and I was already over whelmed. Then this happens. Thanks Target, as if I wasn't already nervous to go to grocery stores for social distancing, now I have to worry about inconsiderate, mocking associates. There's a serious problem going on with the gift cards. Don't pay gift cards from target or for them. Once for my son's bday a respectable person in our life got him a target card and there was nothing on it in target. Person at the register started, blaming the person that bought it when their an upstanding citizen. it was disgusting that they blame somebody like that and another time my father went he used his card once to buy ice cream couple days later he went back for more ice cream and then there was nothing on the card when he had $25 and spent a little bit for the first ice cream and then he had like $19 left on the card . Poof it was gone my dad complain to the manager and the manager of a psych. All I can do is give you a $15 card but still is the point that targets taking money from its customers. read more

I love Target but this location has disappointed me twice! First time I ordered an item through the app and choose the "Drive Up" option. Keep in mind I always choose this option at any Target I visit. But I came to this one due to having the item in stock. When I arrived I pushed the "I'm here" button. 5, 10, 15 minutes go by and no one came out! It was very frustrating I had to go inside and pick up my item! Second time I ordered a bathing suit top. Again, this target was the only one in my area having it in stock. So I just decided to give it another chance. This time the associates came out right away and handed me my bag. I get home excited to try on the top and notice IT STILL HAS THE SECURITY TAG! I don't think I will be coming to this location anymore. read more

Amanda in returns has awful customer service. I was returning an item from Christmas that happened to only be $5. I wasn't worried about the return amount, I was just trying to return the item I no longer wanted. Nonetheless, Amanda was condescending and rude. She acted as if this $5 return was a waste of her time and a serious inconvenience, despite the fact I was the only customer in line. I even apologized multiple times! I love Target. They are a very inexpensive, convenient way to shop. But today this target disappointed big time. I do feel bad only leaving one star- but felt I had to take one star off for each failure. First, my main reason for going to Target was to get Corn starch for a recipe my son was making. I checked online and the app said this store had 6 Argo cornstarch. No they didn't - not one. Very frustrating! Star deleted. I didn't want to waste a trip so picked up a few things I needed for the week, including the beer my hubby asked for. I had maybe 5 items but when I went to check out there were only 2 actual check stands open with 6-7 people in each line!! Another star deleted! I looked over at the self check out and there was only one person waiting so walked over to check out my own stuff. I scanned the beer first - turns out you can't check out alcohol in self check out! Another star deleted. So went back to the long line and waited. Of course when I'm next to be checked out, another cashier is opened and signals me over. She scans my items and Ask if I want a bag. I say yes, and pay for my purchases including the one bag. I'm a bit surprised when she hands me my receipt and says thank you and precedes to scan the next customers items. My stuff is just sitting on the counter, so I grab a target bag and proceed to put my stuff in it and leave. Guess we are all bagging our own stuff now too. Another star deleted.
