Definitely not my favorite target location. The store appears to be under construction, a bit disorganized and chaotic. No one really came up to my boyfriend and I to see if we needed assistance and a lot of the employees were busy talking to one another rather than helping out customers. The amount of items in the store were fairly well stocked and replenished, however I also don't like the fact that many of their products are locked in glass casings. Meaning you had to find an employee to grab you an item you wanted. Target in general have gone up in pricing. I'm spending close to $50 just for a handful of items. read more

Some things you need you just need to go to a department store, or something like that. Even though I like to take my time and go through a good thrift store or antique store, there are some things that aren't found in those types of settings. I came in here to grab a few bigger items that are better when they are brand new, like a bucket, cleaning supplies, and garbage bags. It's interesting to see what items you are going to need when you finally do move and you don't readily have. I wasn't ready to have garbage to go out, but nowhere to put the garbage until I got it outside. This store was ok, they needed to keep up the stock on the shelf as a few items I couldn't find, or they were out of on the shelves. I don't know if I am the only one that does this, but I purposely shop with a basket in here because I do not want to over shop. We all know what I am talking about here, if you get a cart you are more likely going to try and fill it up. I had a basket and whatever I can fit in there is all I am going to purchase. When I made my way to the front, there was a bit of a line at the self check outs. I was standing there because my introverted self likes to do the self checkout. Imagine my horror when and associate approached me and asked if I was paying with a card. I said yes and they insisted that I follow them. Usually I would probably do that, but something inside me said NO. I told her I didn't want to do that, that is why I stood in this line. The look I got was worth it, I hate having to deal with people when my anxiety is up. read more

Levar is an incredible employee, an excellent manager, and in my mind, he's the real MVP. I ordered two chairs and two bar stools on Target.com earlier today. While the bar stools will be delivered next week, the chairs were only available via in-store pickup. I received a text message saying that my order was ready, but incomplete. I called the store to find out what was missing, and was told that only one chair was at the store, despite the online inventory indicating that there were two chairs available. I called the Target guest relations line and for the next 45 minutes, the guest relations representative called multiple stores in the area to try to track down my chair... unfortuntately, to no avail. I arrived at the store to pick up my one chair, and explained my situation to the customer service representative. In the meantime, Levar (who I did not know at the time was a manager) told me that he was going to find some plastic to wrap my velvet chair in so that it wouldn't get destroyed in the rain. I really appreciated the extra time he took to wrap my item carefully and ensure that it would arrive home in perfect condition. As he loaded my chair into my truck, I asked if it would be possible for him to call other stores and see if they have one more. He was more than happy to do so, but unfortunately they didn't have my chair either. Before I left, he offered to take one more look himself to see if there were any more chairs available in the store. Imagine my surprise when, 10 minutes later, he comes wheeling a cart towards the customer service desk....and in it is my other chair! I was elated! I have no idea why no one else was able to find it, but I'm just glad that he did. He also took a considerable amount off of the price for all of the inconvenience. With all of the snowy slushy wet weather we're having, I definitely didn't feel like driving from store to store chasing this phantom chair, and I'm so happy he was able to help complete my order. Was shopping with my boyfriend, we like going to target because they're inclusivity and higher end selection it was my first time at this location but I won't be going back and will willing drive much further to go to another store. Stood in the underwear section for about ten minutes pressing buttons and waving down associates to get items out of the locked cabinets and was ignored by all except when I stepped directly in one guys path and asked for a key. When the girl finally came back she looked frustrated and was throwing her hands up, I wave at her and point and towards the aisle when I wanna get my stuff but she suddenly veers off and then turns back and out her hand up in my face and says "I'm going to help them first" as a straight couple just randomly walks up and looks at the locked cabinet. I tell her "I've been waiting about 5-10mintes and pressing the buttons for help ... I'll be waiting for a bit longer back there" The straight couple who just walked into this situation look confused and give each other a weird look and the lady tells the associate "we don't want anything we're just looking" and then the associates asks if they're sure and I just go back to the next aisle over and wait. A few moments later after the straight couple shoos her away after insisting they really don't need any help she comes back and helps us. I couldn't tell if the associate was avoiding us because we're gay men, or because we were Asian or both. Never experienced this before at another storeEither way she know we need her help for a while and just ignored us, ignored the help button pushes and even diverted herself to pester someone browsing before. read more

This location is very ideal as is just across the street from the metro. Parking is an absolute nightmare and I would definitely recommend going before the mall opens if you can. The stocking for a lot items is pretty iffy and I would suggest that if you know exactly what you need to check online first. read more

Wowzers! Parking, geeeeeeeeeeeeeezus I mean if you drive and come on a weekday in the middle of the afternoon be prepared to search high and low for parking. You have University of Maryland kids parking in the Target lot, you have Metro riders parking in the Target lot, you have so many non Target customers parking in the lot that you'd think they would have some type of way to weed out non-customers. Shout out to a tow trucking company, you all have a potential business to team up with! Whoa! This is crazy! Okay, so we aren't even inside and the parking experience is wild! You walk in there is a Starbucks as soon as you walk in. That's nice! You are at times greeted with an employee who is saying hi to everyone. Poor guy too because everyone ignores him. Great effort on his end for trying to make people's day! However a greeter is not always consistent. The store is pretty well maintained as far a cleanliness. They have a food section but don't come here for specific veggies, very limited produce. Just the basics that people normally buy. Overall they have all the sections that a Target has. The employees aren't super nice, you can pass about 5 employees and never get a hello. You get a few token kind ones. Came once for supplies and they were completely out, come on Target who is responsible for your shipments. Back to school is essential! Pass the hair supply isle and you will encounter a Hispanic woman on her phone. Literally saw her 4 times in the same spot stocking and talking on the phone. Odd. Never knew Target allowed their employees to use their cell phones while on the job. They have self checkout options available which totally helps. They literally only have two or three regular registers open. Be prepared to have a security stare you down as you pay for your items at the self check out. Not just stare you down but mean mug ya. Geeezzz Sir, shoot smile, we are the paying customers not the five finger discount crew. Whoa! Maybe he had to use the bathroom and was stuck working. Who knows! Scary! I'm giving this place two stars. One for a clean store most of the times and two for the sprinkle of nice employees they have. I can't possibly give this anymore than 2! I actually like this Target location! The prices are fair, the store is well stocked and I generally find what I'm looking for. If you need assistance, it's not an issue finding an employee who can help. It's usually packed, but the lines tend to move fast and having many self check out registers makes a big difference. Target experience! Hello, I visited the store in Hyattsville MD yesterday afternoon. Connected to Prince George plaza mall. I shop at this location as least 3 x per week. I went in specifically for toothpaste, I spent more of course. I love target. Total spending of $153.22. When I got home I realized I didn't have the toothpaste. I called my mom, she was with me. She checked her bags she's didn't have it. I live across the street, no worries I'll go back in later to get it. When I entered the store I went directly to guest services. I approached the counter and instantly the body language and facial expressions told me this wouldn't end well. I explained the situation to Yasmin Hispanic woman , she identified herself as the SM. She asked for my receipt and told me that LP will verify the transaction and if everything checks out from that lane, I might get my items. I was confused on why would she say "I might " get my items . I waited less than two mins. She returned with LP, I over heard LP telling her to meet him by the fitting room via walkie. Yasmin returns with LP and said I received everything and I won't be getting my missing items. I asked her to be more specific on what the verification process. I explained to her I got out my bed to come back to target to get my items I paid for that was only $7.98. Immediately, her attitude changed , she became angry and very confrontational and argumentative. Making rude comments about it only $7.98. I told her It's not about the money at this point, it's about the inappropriate behavior. I was highly surprised by her behavior, she became more upset when I asked to speak to some above her, she stated she will remain quiet, that what she doesn't best anyway. This is someone from the leadership team speaking to a customer this way WOW! I was so embarrassed and I felt like a criminal. She made a huge scene, there were other customers in the store who was recording and watching. She was very disrespectful with her rude comments. I finally got her provide me with the actual store manager Email address. She refused to provide it initially. She didn't explore and options or even try to help me at all. I'm so disappointed with the way I was treated. I never been so embarrassed in my life over $7.98 I'm a business owner and I strive to wow each and every customer. I can see why this Target has such low reviews- this store has poor service, and its stock is often missing on the shelves. It's hard to find a store associate, even harder to find one that can help you, and when on a blue moon they walk you to where the product is supposed to be, it's often-times "out-of-stock". My past weekend experience at this "always-busy, but you can't find what you want" store was typical: I was looking for a fairly common item- eyeglass lens cleaner. Millions of people wear eyeglasses, they need to clean the lens- this should be an item in every larger retail and department store- but not THIS Target. I asked a clerk (after looking for a "red-jacket" associate for about 10 minutes) where the eyeglass lens cleaner is. He looks at me puzzled (he probably didn't understand much English), and says "eyeglasses?". "Cleaner", I say, "eyeglass cleaner" taking my glasses off and pointing to the lenses. Aisle 22, he says, then walks off. Great service. I go to aisle 22- contact lens and re-wetting fluid. No cleaner. I go to the pharmacy and ask again. "We're not responsible for that, we don't deal with that stuff." says the clerk. "And you won't call an associate to help me either", I thought. Another associate I spot and explain my dilemma to takes me to reading glasses, but they have no cleaner there. "I don't think we sell it." she says. "You don't sell it, or you don't know where it is." I ask. "It might be out-of-stock." she said, not offering to look it up on a computer, or call someone to do so. Actually, this should be called the "Unhelpful and maybe out-of-stock Target." That sums it up. To their credit, the store is generally clean and if you need toilet paper (and not picky about the brand) they always have that; oh, and they always have lots of candy- a real necessity (and a cash cow for them). Two stars, barely. In an age when people are purchasing online more and more because of crappy service and out-of-stock shelves, we may see Target go out of business in 10-15 years. read more

Back to Target to exchange something I bought from the one in Fairfax. I wasn't looking at the packaging and bought "Medium" when I need "Extra Large." Oops. Expecting a delay or a problem, I was disappointed. It took the gal all of ten seconds to scan my receipt, print a new receipt, tell me that it would be credited back to the same card and thank me for my business. Wow, why isn't Wally World speedy like that? I headed back to menswear, found what I needed - in the right size this time - and made my purchase. This Target is starting to grow on me. I pass it five days a week on my way home for work. I don't like the parking lot; it's always crowded. I think folks must park here to take the Metro across the street. There is a bridge that takes you across East-West Hwy. It's a one level Target, but it is pretty big. They always have what I am looking for, except for the Pumpkin Spice Oreos advertised in their flyer. The manager was helpful though. My new replacement Target Visa didn't work when I got to the register. :( Another worker (maybe a manager?) helped me phone the Target Visa people and clear things up. After that, I was outta there with my three boxes of Luna Bars sans the Oreos. I will be back. It is convenient, and pretty safe during the daylight hours. read more

I LOVE Target. It is an impulse buying kingdom. I always leave there with at least $50 worth of crap I didn't know I needed. Unfortunately, this Target is not one of their finer stores. Unless you go at really strange hours, it is very difficult to find a parking spot. The people who work there are make it very clear that they hate their jobs and are quite unfriendly. Despite this, it is Target. You can't leave completely disappointed or empty handed. For Targets in general (including this one), I love the women's clothing selection, shoes, and cereal. My grandson earned a special treat over the Mother's Day weekend. This translates to getting another Lego kit to build. He was asking for a City Lego the shuttle craft and rocket one. After a quick online search it seemed to be out of stock at the Target stores nearby & the Westfield Montgomery Lego store. This was the closest Target with the best driving route. Some 30 minutes & a lot of stop lights behind us my 5 year old grandson and I were there. It was Sunday Mother's Day 2022 at 6 pm and the parking lot was totally full. A few minutes later and with a lucky break I got a spot close to the entrance. With the nasty drizzling weather I really appreciated this. The one floor layout was bit confusing to me as I'm used too the smaller stores and the 2 level stores of DC. I did not see any employees on the sales floor for maybe 2 minutes and asked the first one I saw were the lego aisle is located. She stopped her task and walked us over to it. She was very friendly & helpful. We searched the whole aisle & didn't see the one we wanted but my grandson loved looking at all the Star Wars & City kits. When I finally found the City space kit that he had expressed such excitement for at home he wanted the Star Wars one with Luke & all the Dark Troopers from Disney's Mandalorian episode where Baby Yoda is rescued by Luke! He began to run to the checkout area. I had to slow him down. At the checkout lanes the lines were a bit long but the self checkout moved fast! As I normally observe one or more of them is always out of commission! We hurried back home so my grandson could start building it before his bedtime. Fair number of empty and understocked shelves, including some displaying broken items. However, it was the weekend, so maybe just a particularly busy time. What I cannot excuse is that a Target representative -- in a position that probably involved the most customer interaction in the entire store -- was NOT WEARING A MASK that covered their mouth. They got close to many customers whom they were trying to help...it's not as if they had bad intentions, of course, but intentions aren't really the point during a pandemic. (To be clear, this is not a critique of a single customer service rep, especially since this person was otherwise doing a fantastic job. Rather, I'd encourage leadership to make sure that they are doing everything possible to protect both personnel and customers...including providing proper masks, clear instructions, and anything else that might help everyone to stay safe). read more

The employees aren't the nicest but they aren't the worst workers I've ever encountered in my life. no one said anything to me as I walked around the store. It is connected to the mall, it has a pretty sufficient amount of things in the store, there's a photo center, and also self check out to help expedite the process. I love the store opens- it definitely meets the needs of the community. I also use the Pharmacy in the Target and never have any issues. Anyway I am just moving to the area and went in to get a few things and after spending almost $200 dollars I am not pleased. First no one bothered to ask if I needed help to find anything which I did but hey Target just lost a sale. Then the parking lot is a mad house people well its not good. The next thing that got me a little upset is that I got a phone I always try to check the price and the phone I got the price tag under it said it was like $34 dollars so when I did the self check out it rang up at like $56 or so again no one that I saw to ask. The store overall is pretty good. They usually have what we are looking for and do have good deals from time to time. The staff at the registers is usually very helpful when going through the self checkout line. We've had multiple issues with the self checkout machines but the staff has always come by quickly and resolved them. The best part about this Target is the Pizza Hut. It seems to be the only Pizza Hut in this area that makes the bread sticks true to Pizza Hut's recipe. Most other locations around this area skimp on the quality of bread and seasoning by just using what appears to be burnt, unseasoned pizza crust. While I can't beat the location of this Target in respect to my apartment(right across the street) it's not the best of the best. Lines are ALWAYS long, and they never seem to have more than 3 or 4 checkers on at a time and this is a busy location. Also, customer service is a bit lacking in the customer care department. I had to return a jacket because 2 buttons fell off just from trying it on, and they told me I could only get store credit, even though I had a receipt and tags still on. Not a big issue, but they seem to not care about their customers that much. Still, it's the closest Target, so I doubt I'll be heading anywhere else anytime soon. Plus, parking is CRAZY. I'm glad i can walk because parking would take me 20mins alone to find a spot! read more

This Target location is HUGE and always well stocked. Generally the parking lot is packed, which can be annoying, but the wide selection makes it worth the hassle. I do wish the parking spaces were a smidge wider...I usually go for an end space to avoid and door dings. Anyway, back to the store itself. It's a great location, huge, and has a lot to offer. The layout is a little odd - not the same as other Targets I have been to, but that could also have been because of the massive, artistic soda display when we entered (I'm writing this review quite late - it was sometime near one of the fall holidays, I believe Halloween). This Target is hit or miss when it comes to customer service. Today was a miss. The guy collecting the shopping carts copped an attitude when I asked if I could leave my cart with him. He instructed me that I could leave it with the rest up front. Note it was a suggestion. Side note I left it with him. Overall my first impression of this location is chaotic. Over time I've noticed the check out is more organized. They still need improvement ie: hire friendlier employees. read more
