Restroom was gross today. Backed up toilet with toilet paper in the stall, non-backed up toilet with no toilet paper in the stall. I did the "realize there's no toilet paper, sneak into the other stall too steal some before anyone walks in" move. The woman who checked me out was so miserable! She also put my stuff in a broken bag and threw stuff (raw chicken, tomato, glass can of sauce, etc.) into a second bag. I had to re-bag everything and I'm lucky I had my backpack with me. Something I bought set off the alarm; I made eye contact with the security guard and she just kept standing there. White privilege. Ugh. read more

I'm an everyday customer at Target on East-West Highway in Hyattsville, MD. I had to get some milk for my 1 year old child. When I walked in to produce , as usually there is no Vitamin D Milk. So there where two workers in the produce aisle. I asked , when will you guys have some milk? The worker said the truck is here. It'll be out in an hour.So I waited til 3:30 to go back because I went there at 10. I got back and talked to a manager because no worker was in no aisle from produce to the soda. So I went back to the manager twice to be exact. And the manager from down stairs lied and said the truck just came when it been there all morning. And said I have to wait until they break down the packages. ! Thanks Target. You guys have workers that act like they don't like their jobs. This Target will make you hate Target. I go here only when I don't feel like going to Walmart. Yes, you read that right. The store regularly looks as if a hurricane hit it, stuff everywhere. Things constantly ring up "wrong" simply because the store is a complete mess and items are not in the correct spot with the correct price tags. Make sure to check your receipt before you leave the store. They recently expanded the self checkout area, which is why I'm leaving 2 stars instead of 1. Trust me, you'll want to do self checkout because the employees here have the worst attitudes ever, like "How dare you ask me to work?!" Hopefully with the upgrade of the mall, this Target location will also improve, but I won't hold my breath. read more

I rarely visit this particular Target. However, the few times that I have gone, I have found what I want. Recently I went to see if they had a particular cleaning product that I wanted to try out in my company. They had it, plenty of it. I cannot take off points for the fact that they are not in the best mall in the world. That would not be fair. I'm updating a previous review written in anger and haste. These guys took like an hour of my angry wife giving them heck about missing bags full of Christmas presents. (They were hidden in the closet so the kids wouldn't find them. But we forgot, so...) Maybe we shouldn't shop at Target on a Saturday after 1:00 PM when we've already been to S&J and Alamo for the past 3 hours. Maybe we should be the only people there alert, together, frosty. But where's the fun in that? It's daggone SATURntDAY!! Places like Target are here to sell you DVD players that last four months and underpants that unravel before the season is out. And gourmet popcorn covered in caramel and chocolate flavored drizzle to enjoy with the $4.99 DVD (get a blu ray already!!) of The Lost Boys you just bought. I come here somewhat often because of the convenience and at opening it is a breeze to shop. They usually have all I need and it's pretty organized/clean. While the parking lot is huge, parking is sparse and most cars there are Metro folks who walk across the street. I've recently switched away from this pharmacy because they are terribly slow, often open 5-10min late and some of the techs can be kind of rudely nonchalant. The bathroom is usually clean in the AM but reeks of mildewy urine all the time. Employees play around and talk loudly about inappropriate things, stand in large groups in the middle of aisles and they are really ghetto. Thank technology for self checkout despite almost always having to receive human assistance because the machine detected added weight of a doubled plastic bag... read more

Have been going to this Target since they opened. I would suggest that you go to this location Friday-Sunday only if you are very desperate. From Mon.-Thursday the lines are not as bad before noon and the parking is a little less torture, but parking spaces are hard to find unless you get there when they open at 8 a.m. Otherwise you will waste much time finding a space.. This store's personnel, dept.managers including the main store mgr. are non-customer oriented. The bathrooms are a joke in terms of space and are falling apart. This store is always packed with people who bring their wild, unruly, crying kids. Crying kids in every department makes one huge headache. The store lacks air flow, inventory and is usually very messy and chaotic during the weekends. The lines, parking and personnel are the worst of any Target I have been in. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE pharmacists (both Maranthe and Kehinde). I waited a month for them to figure out how to order and then process the discount card for a newly FDA approved medication that isn't yet covered by insurance. I called and visited the pharmacy multiple times only to be told that I would receive a call when my prescription was ready. I never got that call. When I called again today, Kehinde lectured me about getting over the past (e.g. how long of a process this has been, how many unprofessional techs/pharmacists I've encountered). No apology was offered for the delay or the horrible service. I was told to "get over it" and that I needed to come pick up my medicine. I asked for a manager and he basically laughed. I will begin to have my prescriptions sent elsewhere because this store is a joke. read more

I work at Prince George mall and would shop this location for convenience. Other than that I would not step foot in there. The customer service is deplorable. If you go in early in the morning you have to navigate around the stock people who have blinders on and don't realize "excuse me"means "move so I can get what I came in here for." Black Friday..a new employee (she was wearing kitten ears if you want to save your customers misery and just fire her, Target) lazily tried to unlock a blu Ray that was in one of those lock cases that only the can open. She didn't even have the key touch the lock case before saying "I don't care" and literally throwing the blu Ray at me. Then I went to customer service to have it unlocked and the woman at customer service (I think her name was Jackie) couldn't get it opened. Don't any of these employees know how to do anything???? Jackie (or whatever her name was) was also very, very rude. These people are the rudest bunch of jerks I have ever met. Shout out to the woman who finally came to open it within 2 seconds and was very nice, though. Too bad a lot of the other employees are soulless jerks. read more

The pharmacy dept. is Extremely Slow. Apparently Everyones Prescriptions not in the system. Ive roamed around for the expected time and as soon is i return to pick up my prescription, the computers shut down or the pharmacist has not verified my medication. Its pitiful. Highly upset. This Target is only slightly better than the Cherry Hill Target, but still awful. Insanely crowded (what genius decided that this entire swath of the DC burbs would only be served by one really inferior mall? Well, it is PGC, so I think we know the answer to this question). So the place is a zoo ALWAYS, any time of day. There isn't enough parking, shelves are chronically understocked, for weeks on end. The pharmacists used to be nice (well, one of them) but now they have a "new team," I heard today, as the excuse for why my medication was not in stock. Did they bother to call me or my doctor to inform us about this before I schlepped all the way over to the PG Plaza hellhole after a hard day's work? No. What does the new team have to do with supplies? They did call around, but it was ridiculous that they didn't call me about the problem. If this isn't policy, it should be. Don't they know how hard it is to make time to even go pick these things up? read more

This location is in a very crowded environment, the parking lot is poorly designed, and it's difficult to navigate when shopping. I'd prefer the Target location on Greenbelt. This community is also fairly dangerous with a moderate to high crime rate. The items are always on the wrong shelves and the stock is poorly managed. read more

It's better than Walmart, but that's all I've got. Parking is always a nightmare, lines are always long, and the staff are generally just tolerating you. But, it's still a Target... so prices are reasonable, and there's usually a decent selection. read more

This store is ok. I can usually find what I am looking for but certain departments need work such as the cosmetics section (they hardly have any make up). Always a lot of employees working and the lines aren't too bad. I will continue to come here if I need to quickly run in and grab something but I can't stay in here too long, there are usually a lot of kids running around. read more

On an average day, it's a mess (stuff is everywhere like the place just got robbed), lines are long and slow-moving, the cashiers aren't paying attention and you leave wondering why you bothered. I typically love Target. As a college student, it's my go-to for all things food, toiletries, & seasonal/holiday. However, today at the PG Plaza Target I was treated more rudely than I ever have been by a retail employee. I was in the cosmetic section perusing all the holiday gift sets etc. and picked up a "cleansing balm" that I had gotten a target advertisement for on my phone. I was excited to see it as it seemed like a cool product and wasn't too expensive. After reviewing the ingredients, I uncapped the product to see if there was a foil seal or if I could smell it (and ultimately see if I liked it enough to purchase!) There was no foil seal so I smelled the product and said to my friend "wow! i like this!" she then smelled it as well and we both agreed it seemed like a quality item. I then looked at the product again and noticed that another customer had clearly swiped their finger through the product, at which point i said "ew, i would need a different one someone touched this one.". THEN an employee came up to me and snappily said "are you buying that?" to which i responded "not sure yet! just checking it out for now.". She then rudely SNATCHED it out of my hands without saying anything and turned away, leaving me there productless. Not sure if I missed the memo but I'm pretty sure I'm allowed to explore products as I please as long as I'm not interfering with the product's integrity! TERRIBLE customer service. I previously wrote a review about the Target's internet site, for all of you who go to the store and get angry, annoyed, frustrated from shopping at the store. It cannot come close to the frustration I experienced by using their website. What should have taken 1/2 hour in time to do took 6 hours. The only reason I stuck with it was that I couldn't get out to shop at the time and I couldn't shop at another site using their card otherwise I would have went to the W...... site!!! I truly hope they get those quirks out so shopping there (internet) might be a pleasant experience otherwise card or not, I won't use their Internet site to shop again. read more

First, some context: my wife and I love going to Target - we generally go a few times a week. Especially when we lived in Hyattsville going to Target was one of the things we did for fun. This Target was about a mile from where we lived but after one specific experience we stopped going to this Target and started going to the one on Cherry Hill exclusively - you can see in the review totals the vast difference in the two stores. Before that point, the service here was never that good - lines to check out were always long, they never seemed to open new lines to help and in fact would close lines despite the check-out situation. Some cashiers wouldn't even look at you while you were checking out. The floor staff also didn't ever seem to want to help customers - they would generally congregate and chat and it would seem like a major inconvenience to them if you asked for help with something. The issue that caused us to stop going here involved coupons - we were using coupons printed from the Target website (the ones that are highlighted at the top of the page when you go) and had gotten all of the correct items, etc. In fact, the problem wasn't even that the coupons wouldn't scan - the cashier wanted to check with the manager because they had just had an issue where someone had come in and made a bunch of copies of a coupon to use on a single item and she wanted to make sure that what we were doing was still allowed (which it was). I don't fault the cashier for that, it was the manager. First, the manager said that she had never heard of printing coupons from the Target website, essentially saying we were making it up. Then she said we could use them but as they were putting them into the drawer, she dropped one and say something was on the back and then said we couldn't use it because the back wasn't blank. She said something about how are we supposed to give this to the manufacturer when the back has something on it and she didn't respond when I pointed out that it was a Merona coupon and that Target was the manufacturer. She then took our coupons and walked away from the register and started walking into the store without saying anything. At this point the cashier is apologizing to us saying she doesn't know what she is supposed to do and is trying to find the manager again. We apologized to the person behind us in line and she said that she used to work at this Target and knows how screwed up they are so its fine. Eventually the manager came back and said she wouldn't accept them, wouldn't really give us a reason why, and then almost wouldn't give them back to us. On the way out we stopped and my wife asked to speak with the store manager. He came up and was very nice but also said he had never seen or heard of the printable coupons before and eventually said that he would honor the coupons but made it like he was doing us a favor (not, say, following company policy). During that conversation the register manager came up a few times and tried to talk over my wife but the store manager stopped her. This experience was just the last in a series of bad customer service at this store - trust me it is worth the extra trip to Greenbelt or Cherry Hill. One positive note - they seem to always have a tone of Christmas stuff left so you can get plenty of things for 70% off and even a bunch for 90% off. read more

It's always messy& 99.9% of the people that work there seem to hate their job. It shows it they lack customer service. Parking is horrible!! A pointless police or security guard that's always parked in front of the store. I rather go out my way & just go to cherry hill or Rockville. read more

As many know, Amazon is my go to place for ordering various items online and that is going to stay consistent for the present and future (even with the current Amazon and Target controversy that I recently saw an article about in the news). However, I had to remark about the positives of this Target store near the Prince George's plaza metro and right next to the Prince George's Plaza mall and because I have shopped at this Target since May 2010 (when I first moved to the Washington D.C. area and before this Target store further expanded their grocery food options) and both the selection of items available at Target and the customer service I have received from the Target employees I have either asked for help or had my items scanned from to purchase/buy have been consistently satisfactory. As with many other shoppers,I have purchased clothes, beauty products, and food/grocery items from this Target. My most recent two shopping trips from Target (both within the past 48 hours) have culminated in the following items and totals;3 pound bananas, can pineapple, 3 bags of godiva chocolates-(strawberry cheesecake, assorted dessert truffles, and clearance sale of caramel nut brownie truffles), archer farms peppermint flavor hot cocoa mix,archer farms vanilla crème brulee latte mix, biscoff cookie spread, andes chocolate mints, and 2 packages Oscar mayer beef bun length hot dogs culminating in a total of 83 cents in tax (6% Maryland tax) and a total of $37.40 (the receipt listed 06-23-2016 for the expiration date which I'm guessing has to pertain to the return policy). My second most recent target trip I bought the following items; 1 package Oscar meyer bun length beef hot dogs expiring may 1, 2016, 1 package bun length beef Nathans hot dogs good until May 23, 2016, mama chia drink, 3 different refrigerated coffeemate flavors of girl scout thin mint, girl scout caramel & coconut, peppermint mocha and a special for 3 frozen Red Baron pizzas all culminating in 11 cents 6% tax for an overall total of $27.83 (the receipt listed I have until 06-24-2016 to return the items). read more

im spreading the word this has to be the worst target that i have ever been to. they put so much money into having police and security on the scene they lost the true meaning of being a store. there is absolutely no professionalism at this location and further more i encourage target to remove this location. yes it is the holiday season and having a job before and after this season is critical. but upholding the value and customer service that target known for is why you all are in existence. i shouldn't have to go to largo and bowies location to get customer service. no matter where the store is located. if you don't want to do your job then go home! there are two many people without a job for some of these individuals to not value theres. i have no sympathy for folks that don't want to work. and yes i previously worked at target and it was this type of behavior. please avoid this store at all cost. if its coming to this store for convenience then best of luck. read more

This target is pretty nice. I'm no sure why there are all the negative reviews. It's always pretty well stocked and you can find what you're looking for. It's always neat and clean and well organized. I've found the staff to be really friendly. I NEVER have to wait in line long to check out. I don't really buy clothes from target apart from shoes, jewelry, accessories, intimate and sports apparel but they have a lot of nice stuff. The grocery section is really nice. Staff has always been helpful when I approached them. Security is a little scary but if you're not doing anything wrong or being suspicious they mostly just look through you. How fast is this Target, I go on my lunch hour to get frozen dinners or fruit and snacks and I still have 15 min to spare. My lunch is only 30 min. The only thing is that some items are really expensive but that's all Targets in general. read more

Tried to buy popcorn in the hot food area today. I and a few others waited and called out to someone we assumed was working in the back since everything was lit and registers were on. Eventually, found out that that the only person qualified to work back there was on their lunch break. Now, a sign on the counter explaining that the person on duty would return at a particular time would've been helpful. After asking the manager how soon someone would be returning, the best the manager could come up with was after their lunch break. And the lunch break was 30 minutes. So, naturally, I'm wondering, "Do I have 3 minutes or 27 minutes left to wait? Who knows. I risk it and go browse. I come back a little while later to find someone in the back who yells out "I'll be out in a minute". After another 3 minutes, a lady comes out to says she has to make some popcorn and it'll take about 20 minutes. I decide to do some work in my car. I go back in about 45 minutes and the area is closed down completely. This is at 7:30 and the store closes at nine. I've learned to get there at least by 8:30 because they like to close earlier than what they post. So there she is doing paperwork to wrap up. I look at her in shock and say "I thought you were going to make popcorn and it would take about 20 minutes." She replies "Not today. Come back tomorrow." I ask, "Do you all do this on a whim or do you have some sort of schedule?" "Uhhhhh...just today...come back tomorrow." No, tomorrow I will go to Rockville where this never happens. I will try my damnedest to stay out of this store! read more
