I've bought mainly from their coffee sections, snacks, and bathroom decor. They have a decent variety of items and I especially enjoy the coffee and clearance section. On a recent visit, I was particularly impressed by a store associate, Keisha, who showed such warm, refreshing, and personable customer service to multiple customers, including myself. At the register, Keisha and I ended up having a passionate discussion about Dubai Chocolate and next thing you know I'm leaving the store with Dubai chocolate! (by ForEva chocolate). I was assisted by the Assistant Store Manager, Veda, whose rude, dismissive, and unprofessional behavior was appalling. As a loyal HomeGoods customer who spent $600-$800 at this location the prior week and over $1,000 at nearby locations, I was stunned by the lack of basic courtesy. From the start, Veda offered no greeting and carried an annoyed, impatient attitude. I came in to return four items with a valid receipt, but instead of helping, she immediately looked for reasons to deny my return. She repeatedly stated: "The description is not for these items," and when I asked her to clarify, she refused, saying: "I'm not going to tell you that" and "I don't have to." This is completely unlike any other HomeGoods experience I've had, where employees clearly explain receipt discrepancies and process returns efficiently. When processing the remaining two items, Veda again checked the system and incorrectly claimed one item was not on my receipt. When I corrected her, she responded only with a dismissive "Oh." She even attempted to break open a sealed box to inspect its contents, despite the box clearly being unopened. The entire interaction was unnecessarily hostile, rushed, and unprofessional. I later called another HomeGoods location. The manager there reviewed the department numbers, confirmed the items matched, and processed my return immediately, highlighting the stark contrast in customer service. Before driving 45 minutes, I returned to Laurel to ask Veda for her full name and title. Again, she was dismissive, refusing to provide complete information and saying: "You are the one with the nasty attitude. I do not care how much money you spent at this location." This behavior reflects poorly on both Veda and the store's management. Good customer service requires patience, communication, and a willingness to resolve legitimate issues - all of which were completely absent. I contacted HomeGoods Customer Service the following day; the representative apologized, documented my complaint, and promised a call from store or regional management within 24 - 48 hours. As of September 3, 2025, I have received zero follow-up. It is alarming that this is not an isolated incident; multiple reviews confirm Veda has treated other customers similarly. Laurel HomeGoods management should understand that experiences like this drive away loyal customers. I deserve a formal apology, but I will never return to this location and will actively discourage clients from shopping there. This is a clear reminder that good customer service is not optional - it is essential for maintaining trust, loyalty, and a positive reputation. Just another stop to see if they would have anything to fill a need for me. I have been searching for a new chair to switch out the one I am using at my desk. Nothing special, just something functional. Of course, with one of these, it is centered on nothing but housewares. If I remember correctly this is a rather large store and can take a few minutes to orient and then shop. I went right to the area where they have chairs. Gave it a thorough search, but did not find anything practical. If I were to get a chair on wheels I would then need to find a protection for the carpeting. It's a whole thing, you now what I mean. One of the cleaner and newer stores in the shopping center located here, this HomeGoods boasts a pretty large selection as previous reviewers mention. This store is focused on a whole array of decorative home furnishings. The quality can vary. The items are very unique and there is a frequently stocked and refreshed seasonal section. This store seems a lot more cognizant of when the lines begin to get backed up, and will employ both cashiers and supervisors when the queues begin to get long. read more

Brand new location! Welcome to Laurel!! Right next to Mad Cow Grill! Can't miss it! I've always heard about HomeGoods, but today was my first time visiting one! I'm impressed! The store was very clean and organized. The employees were very friendly and they greet you at the door with a sanitized cart! I wasn't looking for anything in particular but ended up leaving with some candles, diffusers for the bathroom, towels, decorative pillows and a wreath! The prices are great! There are plenty of things in there to make your space (home or office) look amazing! Check them out!! read more

This place has gone down hill. I bought two $500 rugs from here and they shed like crazy. I have to vacuum the house 2-3 times a week because they put off soooo much fuzz. I just pulled them out of the house and threw them away. Don't waste you money at a place that doesn't vet their product quality. They will happily sell you garbage if you'll buy it. read more

The lack of customer service is appalling to say the least. I stay away from comments regarding racial bias and prejudicial treatment but Jay (supervisor) displayed obvious preferential treatment to a customer that looked like her but disrespected my wife and I when we made an attempt to return items that were unopened and unused. She went out of her way to search for a customer's transaction from over 3 weeks ago when that lady wanted to return items she had used AND were opened. Madison, had her hands behind her back and didn't even attempt to view the items we had the original card used for return. After waiting about 10 minutes, Jay came over to hear Madison's attitude filled explanation that we didn't have the receipt for all items. We provided the original receipt and items still in their original packaging IN the store bags. The lack of effort, poor attitude, disrespect, and their invalidating our concerns are the reasons I will NEVER shop here again. After shopping with Home Goods for over 5 years, I have never felt so belittled and disrespected and I can honestly say NEVER AGAIN will I give my business to this sad excuse for a store. As an interior decorator and house stager, my wife will gladly take her business elsewhere! I doubt anyone from management will even care enough to read or address this but for ALL CUSTOMERS: BE WARNED! Wow! I was hesitant to visit this store but oh my. One of the most organized Homegoods I have visited that was fully stocked with any and everything you may not need and it was so CLEAN. I walked in for a toilet paper holder and towels but left with a lamp, towels, qtip+ holder, truffle popcorn, the list goes on. I'll let the pictures tell the story as I took a few and I hope the store manager continues to keep this store stocked and beautifully organized. From the sounds of the one on duty...keep it sexy lol...not those words but something that was not correct by the expert looked GOOD to me...but I'm no Homegoods manager. Love HomeGoods. This location is always clean, organized and short lines. Checkout staff is always friendly. However the location in Columbia always has more interesting finds. Perhaps after it's been open a while longer, will the variety of merchandise increase. read more
