    $1 rack!

I dropped off some blinds and light fixtures here and the donation process was very straightforward. I stopped in to shop and there was a variety of products of differing quality and age. Of course, for those who enjoy thrifting, it's fun to hunt for treasure! The cabinets section is fantastic and has great deals on both newer cabinets and older ones needing a bit of TLC. Generally ranging from $30-60 per unit. I picked up a small creamer and statue of the dollar rack and was pleasantly surprised that it was 25% off!

I am a fan of rhe Habitat ReStores. Great place to donate household items and find hidden gems. This location is the newest one in Montgomery county. They have quite a bit on display. Yes, some items may be scratched or dented but it is nothing a little TLC can't fix. Proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity. All donations are tax deductible. Worth checking the store out.

Wow. This review is solely for the ladies in the donation receiving staff. It would have been pleasant for the staff member to open the door to allow me in during 20 mph cold wind gusts opposed to making me stand outside the front door awning while she stood in the separate opened garage loading door. I would recommend to acknowledge a customer or donor with a hello opposed to "what do you have", and say nothing else to them. Wow, not even a thank you!

My mother has been looking for a place that sold furniture at a thrifty price. We never knew this place was located 5 minutes from where we lived. We came here two weeks ago and they were having a 40% sale. It may not have been busy but everything was sold out. The prices were reasonable, I have seen complaints that the prices were too high. Based on the places I have been to, another thirft store in capital heights, their prices were about the same. They have a front end full of living room material and furniture and you can walk into the back which basically looks like a warehouse. There are kitchen material, office materials, hotel chairs, and bedroom storage. They also have restrooms located on the right side of the warehouse in the front. The employees were instructing me in the sales and many were helping other customers load their stuff in the truck. There was a sign on the door that said that customers did the loading themselves, but it was nice to know that even if that was a rule customer service was most important. The only minus was the space was small and seemed that their were limited things in display.

It's dirty and dingy. I love going to thrift stores in my spare time but every time I go into this store I feel like I'm in a store in a third world county. They could take lessons from Salvation Army or goodwill. Just because the store is in a Factory doesn't mean it has to feel like one. Anyway the prices are way to high for such shabby 2nd hand items. These pieces of furniture look like they belong in a dumpster or on a curb. I've shopped at habitat restore years back and still own furniture from the one in NJ but I don't think I can ever purchase anything at this one in Silver Spring. The prices need to equal the condition that the furniture is currently in.

I love this store, I happen to think you buy, buy and buy and end up thoroughgoing useful thing in the trash . This store is a perfect example of our spending habits. Looking around they have items that have never been open. In the front it looks like a furniture store, but it is so much more. Everything is arrange so neatly they give a lot of thought to presentation. Every thing is arrange categorically. For people just starting out on their own in life this would be the perfect place. Also the staff was so friendly and helpful. If you are into recycling and against waste this is the place to go. If you want to buy furniture or kitchen appliances give this store a try. if you want to donate something swing buy. Save the earth make a difference and recycle. Vonnie

Very good store . Lots of items for home renov. DIY project paradise with good selections. Cabinets/desk/kitchen cabinets/dressers can be re-sanded and painted to crafty desires. I find some items priced high for a non-profit donation organization yet I assume money they make goes to good cause.. Is still cheaper in thrift stores around Md ;)

At that time, I was very pleased with their work - so much so, I referred 3 family members and another friend - all of which also paid thousands of dollars to Dream House for various purchases. Two years ago, I reached out to Wendy again - this time for help when I purchased a second home in Florida. I spent $6,500K with Dream House on curtain rods, finials, rings, etc. and it ended up being an absolute fiasco. When the installer (whom I hired privately in Florida) arrived, he said the drapes could not be hung with these curtain rods because the drapes were too heavy. When I reached out to Wendy and Cassie, I learned they were both on vacation together in Spain. Wendy's response from Spain: "...how were we to know they were super heavy? We ordered rods for regular draperies." This response is from a woman who has 44 years of design experience? -- i.e. Wouldn't you inquire about the drapery fabric before ordering the rods and/or let a client know the limitations of the rods when selecting drape fabric? The drape installer left after I received this text from Wendy in Spain, "...I understand how you feel, but I worked very, very hard on this for you...spent hours on this. I've used all these rods before..I have never had an issue. At this point I'm on vacation and would rather not have to take care of this right now." Though Wendy admitted later that she should have never taken on my design project (true!), they only refunded me $1,100 for curtain rod hardware that I returned to them - indicating to me that the curtain rod company would not allow anything else to be returned since is it was custom ordered, and I also had to pay a 20% restocking fee. Disgusted, I asked Cassie to mail the $1,100 check to my Maryland address; instead she mailed it to my Florida home. When I requested that Cassie re-send the check to me at my Maryland home as requested, she told me she could only do this if I paid a $40 check stop payment fee. The moral of my story: Buyer beware! If you run into any issues, be assured from my experience that neither Wendy nor Cassie will take ANY ownership of the problem. Beyond a frustrating and disappointing experience from a once very loyal customer. My only solace is that I have repeated my horrible experience to many friends and family who will also never shop at Dream House again.

Mostly it is filled with oversized furniture which is a modern but comfortable take on higher end pieces. Me and my friend went to the back and sat on these amazing chairs that were electronically reclining. Cause I don't want to have to push with my back on the hair to make it recline. What am? An animal?! The woman who was very pleasant told us that the chairs could come in one of like 50 different fabrics and leathers. I sat on another couch before I left which was very comfortable. If I had a larger house, I would definitely stop by this store. I do like a lot of the patterns on the furniture. The customer service was great! I like the customizability! I do remember the prices were a little on the higher side, but probably level with other stores like it in the area. Also... I'm gonna be honest, I don't have the best gauge on furniture prices. I don't go furniture shopping that often, and when I do it's for vintage furniture. I wouldn't hesitate to stop back into the store to see the new things they have in stock.

It's little odds and ends that I think I need and only I understand what I am looking for. In hopes of finding a decent spot to browse, I came here. Now, although they didn't have anything that I wanted to look for, I did spend a good amount of time browsing. That is the one thing that you will need when you enter here, time. There is a ton of stuff in here that you can easily lose yourself in. However, if you are claustrophobic, bypass this place. The aisles are extra small and this could be on the verge of a hoarder case. You kind of have to go with the flow of everyone else in the store, and that means you really can't retrace your footsteps if you need to. Unless you are the only person in the store, which is a rarity. The owner of this place is amazing. She is so full of life and greets everyone that walks in the door. She makes sure that you have what you need even if you didn't expect that you needed it. If you have some time, give this place a shot as there are things in here that you wouldn't expect to find.

I was just out for a minute on this day, hopping from one thrift store to the next. And without any luck whatsoever. Coming here was kind of a mistake. I should have taken tripping over the entrance as my warning, but I guess I'm a glutton for punishment and decided to venture in anyway. I wanted to check out the furniture section as I have something in mind and when I see it, it will just click. However, forget about browsing this furniture section as a multitude of customers find this to be a seating area instead of merchandise to purchase. No matter how many times you go to view the items, or how many times you want to look at something behind them, they will not move and seem to not understand that for purchase does not mean you can sit all day until you are ready to head out again. I did browse a bit, but did not find anything that caught my eye. It might be the selection they had overall, but I didn't see anything at all that was appealing to me. I did scope out the dinnerware and what not, but after not really seeing anything I made my way out. Without tripping this time.
