Recently went back to IKEA to check out some things to buy. The store was incredibly dirty and literally would have benefited if someone just took out a little bit of time to vacuum. I ended up picking a few items out that were decently priced and saw a few things that I would be interested in coming back for. The store associates were nice and helped locate a few things. I would say the biggest downfall is essentially how dirty this store is. read more

Love-annoyed relationship w IKEA. EVERY single time, I see something cute in a showroom but it's sold out in the marketplace! And...they're tying down display items! (Which I sorta get) HOWEVER This time after searching high and low for the cute pumpkin Halloween pillow, I found one (NOT tied down) at the back of the shelf in the bedding section. As I was walking towards the checkout an employee approached and TOOK IT AWAY FROM ME saying it was a display item. Which it was not!!! I was not allowed to purchase it!!!! WTF!!! read more

College Park IKEA is where it's at!! Ample parking and super friendly staff. When we went, they were running a teacher appreciation event and got several coupons and free goodies. We also got more freebies for completing a survey (available to all customers). Ample selection, and I found the very specific item I needed for my classroom. And got it for such a good deal!! read more

It's just much to choose from. There various shapes, sizes, and colors of almost anything and everything. Several floors of stuff for decorating and remodeling. Along with odds and ends. So much to see and daydream about redecorating your home and putting pieces together, but the best part was strolling in a cool environment because it was 90°+ outside. read more

I attended the IKEA - 40th Anniversary Celebration, which had a 80's theme. For the celebration they gave guests that had pre-registered a free welcome gift, and customers were treated to a free breakfast. There were charcuterie board making and knife skills workshops with food tastings, and prizes/giveaways throughout the day. At the FIKA Party: Let's Party like it's 1985! near the end of the day, there was free cake, a fashion show, and even an 80's trivia contest. After the events, I did some shopping, and grabbed some delicious Swedish meatballs from the IKEA cafeteria. I had a fun time! read more

ONLINE ORDER AND DELIVERY: I may have officially entered my "organized chaos but make it stylish" era, thanks to my recent delivery of 8 FRAKTA shopping and storage bags and 6 GÖRSNYGG shopping bags from IKEA. Let me just say... these bags are the unsung heroes of my life. The FRAKTA bags? Absolute workhorses. I use them in my office to haul giant bulk mail cartons to the postal center like I'm some sort of efficiency ninja. They swallow boxes whole and still have room to spare. I've also loaded them up with bulky art supplies, event materials, and let's be honest, the occasional "how did I accumulate this much stuff?" pile. They never judge. They just carry. The GÖRSNYGG bags are my go-to for grandkid gifting missions. Trips filled with IKEA treasures and surprise presents are now way easier and way more cheerful. They're sturdy, practical, and somehow make me feel wildly put together. As much as I love wandering the store (because who doesn't?), the online shopping experience was easy peasy. Smooth checkout, quick delivery, and everything arrived perfectly. Zero drama. Maximum satisfaction. Who knew bags could spark this much joy? Five stars from this very happy, very well-equipped customer! Thank you, Andy! read more

Omg the cookies are so hard. The pizza is uuum interesting (see photo). I couldn't find anything I walked in for and there was really no one around to ask for help. The carts are always annoying because why don't they just go straight? The customer service in both the upstairs restaurant and the exiting food area was great. They were kind and helpful. Okay. How do you not recommend IKEA? IKEA is awesome. It's a great business. I love their sustainability goals. They've made some really good moves in terms of improving their packaging. And in spite of the jokes, I have not had a missing part from an IKEA product since 1991. Their variety of products is also really amazing. The new electronics section is great. They have braided USB-C cables that are higher quality than most of the stuff out there. Great lighting, speakers, there's still a wonderful plant section, candles, dishes, furniture, window coverings, and lots of smart home accessories. Really everything you possibly need is at IKEA. What's the downside? read more

Absolute worst delivery experience I've had so far. My IKEA delivery was originally scheduled for May 17. RXO failed the delivery despite my building having 24/7 concierge service available to receive packages. After contacting IKEA customer service, I was told delivery would happen the next day. I took time off work and waited -- nobody showed up. After multiple calls back and forth between IKEA and RXO, I finally got the failed delivery rescheduled and was given a delivery window of May 22-26. I checked again and the date had disappeared. When I called RXO, I was told delivery is now scheduled for May 27. I had already scheduled furniture assembly for May 22 and had to cancel and reschedule it for May 28, creating additional inconvenience. At this point the issue is not just delay -- it's the repeated schedule changes, lack of reliability, and complete disregard for customers' time. If this delivery fails again, I will cancel my order and take my business elsewhere. read more

A lot of our furniture is from IKEA, so I've made quite a few stops here. I love the showroom. It gives you a great way to gain inspiration. It's hard to envision pieces of furniture in your space, especially if you're starting out from nothing, so it's very appreciated. All the employees are always very friendly and eager to please. As far as furniture quality goes, for the price range IKEA offers products, they are generally always super reliable. The customer service is great so any issues you have can be resolved pretty easily. read more

I simply love ikea. It was a good experience for me. Lots of parking but it was busy. I'm surprised the food prices seemed higher than I remember but we ate and then had a fun time taking pics in rooms that weren't ours and picking up miscellaneous items to purchase. So many choices in accessories etc etc . The employees were very nice as well as my daughter did photoshoot on props throughout the store. Real props that say take a photo . read more

As I saw many negative reviews on Yelp, I was a little suspicious about this location, but I had a pretty good time here at IKEA. The store was neatly organized, cleaned, and tidied up. I could easily find furniture items that I saw online and try to compare them. Staff was not available in every single area, so you might have to walk a few blocks to ask questions. A friendly and experienced staff also efficiently helped me to make an order and delivery reservation. Using app/website was also pretty simple and convenient. Especially, if you sign up and become a member, you can get a special promotion or free coffee. Food options at restaurant were not huge, but it's like a nostalgic school cafeteria and fun experience. Each food items were nicely priced and pretty decent quality. Foods were more like heated up rather than freshly made so don't expect a five star restaurant experience. Meat balls were pretty soft and flavorful, mac and cheese was lukewarm and soapy, and both cakes were pretty good. There were a lot of parking and also loading area in front of the store so easy to visit and put the big items on your car. I would say that if you purchase a big furniture like table and decline the assemble service, you have to do it by yourself, which might be burdensome for some people who are not used to it. Overall, I noticed that the price of products went up compared to several years ago, but I don't complain much as inflation is affecting everything. read more

Lot of variety and great prices, i really enjoy shopping to upscale my interior at reasonable price.

If you want to build it....IKEA and a little patience is all you need. I have a bit of both ;--) I frequent this Ikea because I want to achieve my own personal "carrie bradshaw" type of closet (the ladies will understand).....I also want a PAX spa cabinet. So, although I could give them 3 stars - I know they are 4 star worthy.... Here lately though, I am becoming very frustrated. Lots of things are temporarily unavailable or discontinued without notice. Makes it extremely hard when you have a large project to achieve. ALSO! This weekend they advertised their annual Julboard and I was exited for the festivities....BUT, as with everything else - IKEA missed their usual mark. I believe it is due to the pandemic but I am disappointed. I don't want IKEA to be in comparison to Walmart, Costco, or Sam's...I hold them in a higher regard....but, empty shelves - displaying things on the showroom not available - Costco type sampling....this is not you IKEA!!!! I know because I am here all the time.....BRING IKEA back!!!!!! read more

There was only 1 employee in the ENTIRE FLOOR for living and dining room furniture on the weekend. The only girl there decided she was going to train someone, but NOT while she was working and having them watch or help. No, this girl decided to quit working. After 15 min of me waiting patiently I asked if there was anyone who could help me and she barked at me extremely rude and sub-human, disgusting behavior. No ability to act as if human, no ability to even pretend to be competent. Needless to say she would not help - because this is IKEA -- SERIVICE IS SH**. EMPLOYEES ARE WORTHLESS. Since I had spent over 2 hours there and now unable to get any information or make a purchase, I stopped for a slice of pizza on the way out. 3 employees hanging out playing on their cell phones while lines formed of people trying the figure out the awful self-serve kiosk computers. Really only 3 items to choose from - hot dog (crap) pizza (worse) or icing covered cinnamon roll (if you want diabetes) but supposedly it needs to be made computerized and complicated. I went to one and it didn't work, no way to put anything in a "cart" or pay. A piece of Ikea shit, big surprise. Lazy girl standing there playing on her cell phone, of course would not ring up a piece of pizza, because that would be too much like work. Ikea is no longer a store it is a sh**pile. read more

I'm not really a fan of IKEA, but I do happen to go when my friend wants to go. Been quite a few times in the past few months, and it's been good visits each time. Most of the staff are attentive and helpful if you can find one. With supply chain issues, there are some things that come in and out of stock which is expected. I do like being to look up on the touch screens throughout to see if an item is in stock and where it's located. Friend and I do like one particular bathroom featured in particular. Would be cool if the mermaid themed tile was available. I'd be learning how to tile and grout my bathroom with it! :) Latest visit, I we actually ate. Friend got the Swedish meatballs. I was thinking of trying the plant balls since I don't eat red meat, but they looked a little sad as if they'd been sitting there for awhile. So, I opted for the salmon. Enough flavor along with the potato medallion and broccoli. I did add just a little bit more black pepper though. Only obsession is the oatmeal cookies with chocolate. Have to pace myself or I'll wind up eating the whole package! read more

Living as close as I do to and IKEA can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on how you look at it. After moving in I have made multiple stops here and spent countless dollars. It made me feel like I was back to a time where I just got my first apartment. Since moving I have found that I have either misplaced items or thrown things out that I should have kept. With that I am usually in a bind when I have a need for a certain item. Like, who misplaces their utensils. This guy. I have had to make multiple trips here to pick up an odd item or two. My first visit here was honestly a walk through to see what they now have to offer. I ended up spending a lot on all those small items I needed. My next visit here they were in the midst of rearranging the showroom so it felt like walking through an abandoned store. The multiple visits after that, I just made a be line to all the items and not the showroom floor. I already knew the lay of the store and ended up just going to the areas that I needed the items from. Each of the visits I used the self checkouts and made a swift exit. I'm not even going to talk about the amount of time I lost putting together some of the items. We all know how that is. I'm sure I see myself making many more visits over time, especially dependent on how long I live in such close proximity. read more

The right place for everything , is a one stop service from furniture checkout, ideas for designing your future whatever rooms, to Swedish food! This is our favorite, Ikea restaurant! The warehouse was huge, you can also come to practice walking or exercise during extreme weather. They have variety of food selection, all come with healthy calories calculation. Our favorites always Swedish meatballs, fried chicken, veggies balls and the desserts. Have you tried their veggies balls? It's taste almost the same as the meatballs, but more delicious! Don't miss out on the rice pilaf as the side dish, it's the perfect combination with veggies balls and the sauce. We're all facing the same issues here at this moment, some if not all items are out of stock! You have to be prepared if you're running a project, either come as grab as the stocks are ready or visit the store multiple times. read more

Besides the staff being hot and cold. IKEA is the spot for all your home needs. The long maze to get in during COVID is a nightmare, almost like they are trying to help customers to lose weight, needed a water break getting to the entrance. The lady didn't let me take the shopping cart to the top, which sucked because I needed it. Yes, I'm the one buying all the little nick nacks and having a cart. I was so upset that I had to go back top. Plus I cleaned it. The eating area is closed probably for the best. Other than that, you have your typical angry customers being rude about the 6ft rule. This review only covers the IKEA cafeteria, which offers reasonably priced meals. We had the Swedish meatballs meal with broccoli and mashed potatoes for $5.99 and fried chicken tenders with broccoli and fries for $6.99. Both were large and filling. Taste was bland so add your own seasoning. The major setback is the long line on a Sunday at 6 pm. We were in line for 30 minutes. There were only 2 employees serving the food. The first employee who took the orders was stressed out and getting confused on customer orders. Management should have more employees assisting on the weekends. If we visit next time, we would come back on a weekday to avoid the long lines. read more

Went to IKEA today to return items. We signed in at the electronic kiosk upon arrival. Well, the system glitched and reset. It was our turn next after 10 minutes of waiting too. Zero acknowledgment from the customer service rep (CSR) This entailed waiting for another 15 minutes as all the people behind us got to have their turns first. Once it was our turn, the CSR was less than friendly. We had items to return from 3 separate transactions. At some point, she walked away to go talk to the manager. About what? How she's tired and not at all really awake. Did I tell you they only had one other person working for returns and exchanges? That there were 4-6 people waiting in queue? And it was awkward AF to wait for her to come back whilst just standing there?? Or that her throwing a metal tray table into the return cart nearly cracked my phone screen when it barely missed it? Foul attitude much? Can I please just move to VB already thank you very much? Anyway. I hope I don't have to buy anything and having to go back and do returns again. It shouldn't have taken nearly an hour just to do some simple returns. I was going to go shop and looked around afterwards but after my interaction with the CSR today, I'm unsure if I want to really shop there again. read more

I've purchased so much furniture from them over my college years and it was a loving relationship, never had issues. Never thought I would hate Ikea so much after the most recent experience. I bought an outdoor table from the closest store to me (1.5 hrs away), when I tried to build it at home realized that instead of giving me 2 left legs and 2 right legs, I got 1 left leg and 3 right legs -- this table can't be built. First tried to call their customer service phone line, which is a maze to go through. A bunch of options where the phone line said press # to talk to a team member, after I press that number, I get a response that says that's not recognized, goodbye, and they hung up on me! After finally getting through to a live person, the rep says since I bought the item in store, they can't just send me the missing left leg, I have to go to the store (it'll be a 3 hour round trip) to get it fixed. Why is it that when you screw up in your manufacturing process you can't make it right to your customers without unduly inconveniencing them? Sending the correct parts is not something they can't do, they just don't want to do it, it's not in THEIR POLICY to do it. Beware that you may get the wrong items in your furniture and it'll be an extreme hassle to make it right. What, do customers need to open boxes in the checkout area and in the parking lot to make sure everything is there and correct before heading home, otherwise, we have to repack everything and head back to the store to get it right? read more

7/16/22 Since nature calls, we find ourselves inside IKEA. Since we haven't had breakfast, we will be checking out the IKEA restaurant. After eating breakfast, we walked the building picking up more white IKEA napkins. I have forgotten why my wife did not colored napkins until I remembered why colored toilet paper was stopped. Some things change while other things don't. In case you are wondering, the dye could come off on your skin. Just like it did with toilet paper for your third eye hole down south... you get the point. The place as always is well stocked and organized. The biggest difference I saw here is the new (at least to us) roofing for vehicles and carts near the store. This helps keep your vichele nice and cool from the hot sun and cooling you down like a McDonald's Mcflurry. Nice touch. read more

What else can I say, IKEA is an adventure. Sometimes I come in for "just one thing" and spend 4 hours, other times I pop in for meatballs and teleworking in the cafe. I took my kid to Smaland a couple of months ago but now there's always sign saying it's closed today, but no indication that it's permanently closed. I am not sure if I am going on the wrong days or if it's permanently closed. I wish they would give clarification on that since I can't call anyone to ask if it's open on a particular day (no one answers the phone). Who doesn't love IKEA? With their famous Swedish meatballs, $1 cinnamon rolls, and free coffee when you're signed up with the IKEA rewards program. I can spend hours at this store and not get bored. I'm on a hunt for a new mattress and she was very informative, patient, and had an awesome personality! She had a few recommendations and had me convinced on a memory gel foam pillow. I was sold after testing it out for myself and actually hearing it live directly from someone that has the item at home. I love ikea but I swear the prices have elevated on a few popular items that used to consistently be the same. Try not to go on a Saturday, if so go early because I forgot how long the lines can be. Luckily they have self service registers that go very fast. I still don't understand how self service goes faster than lines with a cashier. I went for the end tables to get for my daughters party, to create VIP sections and the end tables that used to be $9.99 are now $14.99. No special upgrade. The same table with four legs. They advertised they had black but only white was in stock. It turned out to give the sections I was creating, very nice. That was a plus. If you are a college student or a young person just getting started, a senior living alone or a person on a tight budget, Ikea may work for you. However, if you have kids over three be careful buying furniture. It may not stand up to active children. If you like to plop down on your furniture, be wary. If you have limited mechanical skills, you may want to have someone assemble it for you. With that in mind, Ikea can work for you. Ikea products can be really attractive for a lot of stuff. Kitchen ware and electronic (lighting) can't be beat. Longevity of stuff, I doubt it. The restaurant is best when busy and can be a welcomed experience. If slow, you may want to go. In any case, you probably should avoid the hot dog counter at check out. The counter help can be scary. So, inspect your products and be alert! read more

Only thing I don't like is how long it takes to check out. This is my second visit, and again it is taking forEVer. You can find some good bargains in certain things, and definitely items you can't find anywhere else. Also, this would be a very dangerous store for me to wander with no specific purchase in mind! Much like a few other stores, I kept seeing things that I didn't know I "need", so impulse buying would be happening. :/ One thing I especially appreciate is the staff person stationed near the entrance, who can give directions to get to your destination aisle/bin. Although I'm dismal at following said directions, both times I got pretty close, due to their knowledge of the store. I'm a bit interested in their food area, but on both occasions I was under a time limit to go pick up grandkids, so I had no time to check it out. I doubt I'll go back except to get specific items, because ... impulse buying. But it's a nice experience and good prices on furniture! Huge. Plenty of parking. A lot of sofa's and beddings are out of stock (apparently since the Pandemic started) so be weary if what you want in store and on-line are different. I needed more help with getting the items off the shelves and there weren't many able bodied employees near me to help. I got a couch. If you see it ONLINE as available, RUN to IKEA asap. Items are sold quickly. I set up a Logger to deliver my items and that was easy-peasy! So if you don't have a vehicle to bring your items home, they can set it up for you. With my location, it only cost about $35 . They also recommend a service called Task Rabbit where a person will come to your home and put together your items if needed.
